  1. Like I said in the other thread, welcome to GA, glad that you're here!
  2. First off welcome to GA. Second, we're glad you're here, and the community at large are very friendly people. Don't be afraid to say hi, or send a PM or jump into a discussion.
  3. Thanks for reading, and for the comment, Jwalk19610. To answer your first question: not sure where it's showing as new. It is the newest story chapter as of 7/22/2018, with chapter 2 and chapter 3 of this "book" are with the editors. It may have populated because I updated the prologue earlier today. For the second part, about "cousin in law" that's just something I used to try and convey that Duncan wanted Jeremy to feel like he and Robert were family and not just a mix of unrelated people. I appreciate the feedback, and I hope you like the next chapters when they come out. Chapter 2 is with my Technical Editor, and Chapter 3 just came back from the Content Editor, and I'll be sending it off to the Tech. So hopefully soon both will come out.

Slowly. TC4 the next major book will be a lot longer than the first three, so there is lots of potentials. Not to mention, They have a spare bedroom, that can lead to an adoption of one more. They turned Duncan's old room into an office for him.
  5. Yuppers. In the research for Book 4 now, I've been looking at airlines, trains, etc. and noticed that about BA. Which is funny, because I hadn't known that when I wrote my notes and this chapter.
  6. Hmm... I have an idea now for 689...
  7. I refer back to my earlier post about Private Member Clubs. These Clubs can be anything, in fact, I know of a guy that is looking into a restaurant that will be a private member club for anyone 18 years old, and older. Or A/K/A, a restaurant that is Adults Only, no kids. For a $1.50 membership fee added to your bill, you too can dine without kids. Your membership lasts for the duration of one meal. I honestly don't know if he'll be successful at it, but it is an idea.
  8. I will need to look these up. LOL. Thanks.
  9. A little off topic... I was 21, and the pox put me in the hospital for a week. I can understand.
  10. Private Member clubs are something that does exist. Having Private Gay clubs would be fine, and there are already several across the US. In FL we have several campgrounds and bathhouses that cater to GLBT only. Most, of course, are 21-years-old+.
  11. Sounds like you hit your attachment max. Underneath your name is a drop-down menu, is a series of links. The second one is to Manage my attachments. That should show all the attachments you have in PMs and Posts. You just need to clean out a few, and then you can post more. If you do a lot of pics, linking from an off-site gallery will save you space.
  12. Thanks for reading and for the comment, hypokris. I'm only planning on 3 chapters for book 3, but book 4 will have over more as there is a lot I want to do. This one is only focusing on Jeremy mainly.
  13. A sad tale of death. Well written, and heart-wrenching.
  14. A fantastic story of friendship, camping, and ghost tales. It was well-written, full of character, and an easy read.
  15. No offense taken, my friend. That statement was something told to me once by a Troll, and it seems to be a very common belief among them. Not something I believe.
  16. This week's topic is something, I find common among any group of people: Disagreements. Disagreements are going to happen. I forget where I heard this saying, but it goes like this: "As long as there are two people still living on Earth, there will be war. We are all Cain and Able." It's human nature to disagree with one another, even though humans are a herd animal. I was reminded of this topic on Reddit yesterday when a thread I was reading spiraled into a shouting match between people's different ideologies. There was no attempt at a peaceful dialogue, once the shouting started. Even here on GA, I know of one topic that was locked down by the admin, and you can read it here in the Writer's Club a few pages back. How you respond to a disagreement, matters. Too many of us, myself included, tend to let our inner asshole out. "Hey, it's the internet. I can say, and do whatever I want without repercussions." However, its the bigger person that can reign in their inner asshole, and can settle it like a gentle-person that wins the day. I'm not saying all disagreements are bad, it's how we approach them that is. For me, going forward, I'm going to strive to see the other side. I might not always agree, but I'm not going to be an ass about it. Or at least try not too. We live in an age, especially here in the United States of America, of such polarization, it's almost a knee-jerk reaction to being mean and spiteful. "They are the enemy, and must be destroyed." needs to be changed to "They are a fellow human being, and we need to find a compromise." That's my rambling mess this week.
  17. Thanks, Mike. And thank you for challenging me that night.

    Tanka #1

Thank you, Mike. I agree it is heart-wrenching.
  19. Thanks, Dodger. Making me blush now. Parts of my life are in almost every story on GA. Not a lot. Some are just composites for characters, like in the first TC Book, Jill, Chandon, and Brayon are all real-life people I know, and it's a bit more there story, that I wove together. Granted names and places they work are changed.

    Tanka #1

An excellent Tanka, Mac. It's like the raindrops are real tears being shed over a love that has ended/parted/gone away. Very profound.
  21. Yeah. It started off, I was the only boy my age in the neighborhood, the rest were 8-10 years older. Most of the girls were related me, extended family in a four square block area, so all my cousins, sister and their friends and I was outnumbered 12 to 1. That changed when I got into Scouts and my Church's Youth Group until then I did a lot of stuff on my own. I hated playing most team sports, except for Volleyball. Tried Baseball, Football, Soccer, and the Police Athletic Leauge Wrestling, but I was horrible and it didn't really interest me. Loved camping, was very active in the Boy Scouts of America. Give me a map and a compass, and I could hike an orientation course in no time flat. If it was a SciFi related item, I tried to get it, borrowed it, secret borrowed it, or knew someone that had one. LOL. My dad would try to get me to go fishing with him, or play football like he did. Hated both. I hated working on cars, which again he tried to get me into. I was very active in my Southern Baptist Church youth group and did missionary work with them. Inner-city Atlanta, and Willmington, NC. At one point, I was slated to go to seminary school, with the church paying for it. That change in a huge way. LOL And nightmares, and night terrors... lots of them, and suffered with them near nightly until I was 19-21. Still, have them, but now it's more insomnia.
  22. LOL. My mom stopped when I was around 14. Very true. I've been reading over that link tim shared, and the link on it to the sex scene one too.
  23. I used to have a small collection of stuffed animals when I was a kid. Aside from my Teddybear, my stuffed Snow Leopard cub helped keep the nights safe. Sadly, the only thing I still have, is my patched up Teddybear. He's in a storage box in the closet. I don't know what happened to Leo.
  24. Here's most of that scene, this is an unedited version, as it's with Kitt now, and it's reworked after tim's "You can write it better than this," PM. Just a bit of Background, in Chapter 1, Jeremy comes out as Asexual (maybe), and recently lost his parents, and is now living with his Uncle, his Uncle's Husband, and his son. Rob is a few months after his mom died.
