  1. I have one Published In-Progress Project on this site, another I started (but after review, it's being tweaked) that's for this site eventually, plus another three in ongoing development. My hardest time right now is keeping on track on one story, and finding the time to sit and write.
  2. I've read some good Fan Fiction, and some really, REALLY, bad Fan Fiction in recent days. (Nothing from this site, though.) I've written some as well for my friends, and people I played some MMOs with. I've personally wondered what the Authors of the worlds we read, how they felt about that? How do they feel about someone creating characters to play a part in their worlds that they've created? I've seen it mainly for TV shows, and Movies, but a few worlds created in novels as well. So, how would you feel about someone creating a piece of work, based around the world you've dreamed up?
  3. Coming soon! I promise! This next bit has been a hassle to write, and it's been delayed because of Real Life issues. But more is coming soon.
  4. Exactly what I've been thinking too. There's a level of realism, but at the same time, it's several centuries in the future, set in space and another planet, with Aliens who use Magic.
  5. Thank you everyone; including the PM I got, it was all good advice. I've decided that I'm passing it to my Cousin who's Ex-Military to read over this section, and he is also a Sci-Fi Junkie like I am. He's already asked me for all ten versions, so hoping he likes one of them. If not, I'll do one last re-write with his input. I totally get what you're saying. As much as a writer can mostly get away with "handwavium," there has to be a level of Science involved. One of my favorite Sci-Fi authors Joshua Dalzelle has been an inspiration as well. He's commented about what you've said too.
  6. I've mentioned before that I have some close friends and some family members who help me in my writing. I've done various little shorts for them over the years, and they've been instrumental in my story I'm writing here on GA. However, the next installment of that story is giving me a lot of issues. My Beta Readers are saying that the next installment, doesn't read like something that is realistic. They say that my lack of Military Experience is a hindrance in writing what someone from an established fighting force would do on a Patrol of a potentially hostile area. I was never in the military but had friends, family, and an Ex-BF that were. I've talked with them about their experiences for research, and have been using that as a basis to write. I have rewritten this segment now ten times, and they are still saying that it's not realistic. At what point, is rewriting the segment too much, and you just need to go with what you have? As an Author, I'm happy with what I have, but it's the reader that I worry about? "How will the majority receive the story?" is my thought process, when it comes to this type of situation.
  7. I like Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Space Operas, but the serious lack of #GLBT story content in those genres, in the published world, is what made me start writing. I may not be the best, and use Friends/Family as Beta Readers, and Online Grammar checkers (like Grammarly) to make sure things are coherent. I try, though. For my ongoing story, Aeris - Guardian Force, it draws heavily from my Tabletop Role-Playing days and playing in the RIFTS setting from Palladium Books. It's not a direct draw on the setting, but the Elements of Technology, Aliens, Magic, Space Travel are in the game's world scope. The character Aeris aka Joshua Rintel is a composite of a few Player Characters I had. (As a side note, Grammarly is a browser extension as well as an MSWord plug-in. Works wherever you need to Post something.)
  8. Awesome! He's one of my favorite of the Boys in Blue! The Lightning will be hosting PRIDE Night in a couple of weeks. Would love to go to it, as they are having special GLBT Theme Lightning T-Shirts as part of the Ticket Package. I feel its very promising that the NHL, and the Players Association is Open to GLBT players.
  9. Quick update. I'm working on the next installment now. Had a rough past couple of months with a move right before the Holidays, and Medical issues afterwards. I've been working on research, formatting, etc., so I can deliver a good product to you all.
  10. Working on the next installment now. December has been a real P.I.T.A., with a move, and then Holidays. I'm hoping to get an editor to read over it, before posting. Sneak Peak: Start of next segment is the landing into the Capital City, and Aeris' first experience to the magic of the Thorian Empire!

    Awesome chapter.
  12. Slight alterations to the previous chapters, for spelling errors, and the use of '&'. Working on the next section. Tech Item of Note: Halo Screen. This is a holographic image display, that is wrapped around a person's head. Transparency can be adjusted at will.
  13. Thank you! I'm working on Part 2 of Act 2 right now, & expect it done before weekend. Once upload, it will then wait for the moderators.
  14. Alien, Aliens, & Prometheus were by far the better movies in the franchise. I'm looking forward to this new one.

Wow... WOW... That dream sequence was awesome. Another great chapter.
  16. I'm glad you're enjoying it. I'm working on the next section now. Thank you for reading, & the feedback!
  17. Chapter 6: The Prometheus entered subspace a little over two hours ago, and Aeris skillfully dodge questions, he would rather not answer about his and Shane’s whereabouts. The introductions between Dr. Thomas, Adm. Franks, and the rest of the senior staff went well; followed by a conference in the War Room on Deck Three. The room was situated with a large Halo projector in the center of the room, complete with holographic controls to move the image around, and workstations all around the pe
  18. Thank you! I'm happy you enjoyed it!
  19. It was a great short story. Loved reading it!
  20. Just posted Act 2 – Prelude to War Part 1. Waiting for it to pass the moderators queue so you all can read it. I hope you're enjoying it, & please feel free to post feedback, & reviews!
  21. I'll admit to not reading all five pages. However, I think Jian getting fur as a Christmas Miracle would be awesome.A Xue-Tiger!
  22. Part 2 of Act 1 - Origins, has been published a couple of days now. This rounds out the Origins of the crew of the Prometheus. Some quick notes: Aeris is pronounced (AIR-is). Wikipedia has been a Godsend with some info. According to some astronomers, & astrophysicists, all the stars within 20 Light years are considered our "Local Group." Depending on reception of this story, I can see some Prequel arcs being written. Let me know what you think!

That was one heck of an opener. Loved it!
  24. Chapter 3: The courier drone arrived five days later, a standard size model about 3 meters long, 1.5 meters width and height. Tubular in design with fins, and equipped with a micro-fission powered sublight engine, and micro subspace FTL drive, in the back third, it left almost 2 meters of cargo space. Three items were in its cargo compartment, video and text mail delivery for the crew, in the form of small data-crystals; a secure credit transfer package for the Purser’s office; and the eyes-
  25. Look at Pintrest. Just type in MM Romance, & its all exactly what you described. If it's a story about Were-kin, add in a few more stereotypical guys, Like big beefy muscle bear, behind the first guy. EDIT: Dan Skinner's Photography, his pictures are used heavily for a lot of the Gay Covers. You can find some on DeviantArt.
