Wedding in the Rose Garden? Although I suspect Owen will 'require' a certain 'Southern' winery for the nuptials, with maybe Liebe's baby brother playing a key role ( oops did I let 😸 out of the bag?). My bad.

Sorry @LittleCherryBlossom26 didn't mean to make you said. Hope your coming chapters will cheer everyone up. 🫂

Your opening sentence of this chapter, "Time passed, but nothing changed" is eerily prophetic given the events of the last 36 hours (22-24 Feb 2022) in Ukraine. George Hopkins fought in the First World War, which was often referred to as 'The war to end all wars' and despite it ending in 1918, George continues to suffer even as young Danish refuge Karl arrives in the UK and in this story joins the RAF to fight against the psychotic tyranny of Adolf Hitler. Today, we have another tyrant, in another time, who wants a return to one all-powerful mega-nation by boot-stepping across its neighboring countries. In 1948, three years after the Second World War, in which young Karl is fighting, ended, Winston Churchill wrote, “Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” And here we are, yet again, on the precipice of another World War, in the very area of the world - Europe -that begat the first. Hopefully, Karl has a better outcome.

Cal, what would we do without your wonderfully creative mind coming up with stories that pull readers into them? Stories that make readers run the gamut of emotions. Stories that make readers feel drawn to the characters. Believing in what the characters are saying, doing, feeling, or a cause they are fighting for. Often involving children in distress, looking for help, and finding it. (When in the 'real world they can't find enough help). I gladly echo the comments of others with regards to 'Timothy'. Let us hope there is a 'Timothy' Book 2 (10 years later? 20 years later?) where Elisabeth and Donald grow up (imbued with the 'spirits' of her mother & Donnie 🫂), with Timothy and Stephen, despite not 'seeing' Donnie in their dreams, feel him guiding them. Thank you ©CLJobe for every gift you give us, n is and for years to come!

Wow. Two really fantastic chapters back-to-back Andre. Comments about all the children, but especially Lisabeth and Cam, are right on the money. Children just being 'special', and yes at times caught off guard like Elizabeth's accident with the 'versary' breakfast-in-bed tray and her tears. You are correct Andre about them sometimes seeming older than their age due to being around 'grown ups' so much. But then they revert to giggles and are precious kiddies once again. It seems the Devlin-Major hospitality organization is going 'international', and if Andrew and Ryan get the right concessions from 'the right people' it could be a 'Win Win' for everyone involved. More, but properly controlled, development of tourism that will also bring more prosperity for the islanders AND Devlin-Major International SA. 🏝️ The Bobotie 🍲, with your 'help', is on hold due to an unplanned renovation by my landlord, that has been taking far too long. That special 'comfort food' will be in next few weeks because as Cam said, "...my stomach thinks my throat's been cut". 🥣

Good to be catching up with Jex, Rhodes , Marcus and the rest. First the wedding, followed by the 'Man- Moon' on Howe Island, then it's back to work. 🛩️ Looking forward to old friends making an appearance again.

Andre, no need to apologize for being a little late when we are rewarded with another wonderful chapter. Especially one that ends as lovingly as this one. 💞 Truly remarkable, especially the memories of missing parents. 🫂

Babies Donnie and Elizabeth's mother looking down from 'above' during the christening with tears falling from her eyes, brought tears to mine.🥲 They will have three Guardian Angels to watch over them; Donnie, their mother and Maternal grandmother. 👼💞

"I don't what it is with me, but it seems I can't find much more time in my busy life to dedicate to writing and publishing here 😅". Don't worry about that for now. The story is good so far. Yes there's a few errors (in spelling and context), but that can improve over time. One thing I do suggest for writers / authors is write the entire story first (even in draft form) , have Beta readers and/or editors review and then decide on how and when you want to publish. That way, you are less likely to hit a roadblock and abandon your story.

In real life Jack would be charged with murder, but not First Degree since it was not premeditated. Jack's Defense lawyers would argue temporary mental distress and PTSD, with evidence of years of alcoholism caused by the stress of Jack's job, and this one case in particular. As a result he'd likely get the case dismissed or probation and counseling, especially with a plea from his grandson Andy 👼, and possibly David and Kat. Is there a happy ending? Well let's see where Andy winds up, if he survived. Long term, I think the realization by Jack that he killed his own son and failed his only grandson Andy ... May means Jack dies at his own hand, but I hope not, because if Andy found him dead, especially by gun, it will destroy an innocent young man, who had his childhood stolen and destroyed numerous times. 😪 Can the author see a way to find a modicum of 'satisfactory' ending? 🙏

Chapter 21: The Confession
Anton_Cloche commented on C. Henderson's story chapter in Chapter 21: The Confession
Infuriated beyond belief that David blames Andy for murdering his son, when Andy was a 6-year old child in fear for his own life. A child being verbal and mentally abused, by who now turns out to be Det. Jack Miller's son Paul. David should be supporting Andy 💔 as having been a helpless child at the time of the crash, but no. In fact, by blaming Andy, David has effectively crushed Andy's spirit and the very small spark he had in wanting to use AA to get clean and get back the life that was taken away from him when he was just a boy. By his actions David has proved he is no better than Paul, yet another monster terrorizing someone helpless. -
And Timothy & Stephen's son and daughter are named...? My guess is Donald Randy and Stephanie (plus her Mother's name to honour someone who died too young and thrown out. But guided to Heaven by Donnie and Welcomed by her Mom). 👨👨👧👦 💞 😇 Ps: Having reviewed EVERY chapter Cal, I've come to the conclusion that Stephen and his family are related to Cher. Despite Stephen (sometimes 'Stephan') introducing Timothy to his parents and grandfather, and going to 'Gramps' office, no family / surname is mentioned. So their son & daughter will be... Donnie Randy Watkins -________ AND Stephanie ________ Watkins-________?

Like so many university students and 'under 30' I've met in last 10 years, the ones who 'claim' to be environmentally aware, it's obvious 'somebody' (parents?) have been picking up after them and they haven't learned. NOT saying ALL of them, just far too many. They want the planet saved, but can't / won't utilize recycle bins properly if at all. Use 'Meals-2-Me' (you know who) & trash everywhere. Do the 'few' give the rest a bad rep? Unfortunately yes. In this case the University needs to deal with researchers.

While it is sad that a poor girl had to lose her life, Donnie assured Timothy that despite being preemies, the twins will survive and their mother AND grandmother (the deceased girl's mother) will watch over them from Heaven.💞 One will be named Donald Timothy 👶 and the second (a daughter?) can be named after her late mother and also have Stephanie 👶 as an additional name. A tribute to Donnie, the twins 'angel' mom, and the guys. Timothy and Stephen will be great parents, and they and their children will have Donnie and other Guardian Angels to watch over them. 👨👨👧👦 When a 🚪 closes, a 🪟 opens.

Chapter 20: Frank's Discovery
Anton_Cloche commented on C. Henderson's story chapter in Chapter 20: Frank's Discovery
But where's Celia's connection with Paul, or was it really just a drunk and drug addled child abuser, taking six year old Andy out to terrorize him again on a scary drive that ended in a crash on purpose? Maybe it is psychopathic Celia grabbing Andy and pulling him into the alleyway, seeking to punish Andy for ruining her imagined life; when as a scared 6-year old, he wrote a letter apologizing for a murder he didn't commit? 👼 David needs to find Andy before Celia (or?) kills him. Will David arrive in time to save Andy? With Elisabeth having read Andy's letter, can she and David reconnect and form a life that includes Andy, (or has her relationship with David's former business partner Tom made that impossible)? Most importantly, will an innocent Andy find the help and support of David, to remove a guilt that should never been put on his six year old self? Will Andy get the physical, emotional and spiritually help he deserves? 🫂 -
We need to know that they can reverse poor Milo's condition and don't leave him 'stuck'. It's just not fair for a child. With that 'cure', and the new 'Council' members help, Seb, Reilly and the other Sentinel members can help the remaining 'pups' and not just the ones they have found, but also using the new Council resources to find the tormented pups around the world that were sold into slavery or worse. Perhaps Caleb will devote his freedom to search on his own to find missing pups as well, not for forgiveness but to atone. Sentinel Justice must take place. 🐺 🐺 🐺 🐺 🐺 🐺

Chapter 19: The Share
Anton_Cloche commented on C. Henderson's story chapter in Chapter 19: The Share
Who done it? Well as far as the original collision (we can't call it an 'accident'), we now know Paul did it and why. (Although the rationale sucks). As far 'whodoneit' grabbing Andy? Unlikely, but not impossible it was Andy's step-monster Paul. IF he snuck into the AA meeting, Det Jack (his father?) and David were at the back of the room and would have seen him. But if Paul was outside in the hallway and overheard Andy's 'confession' and, afraid of being caught, snuck outside, waited for Andy and "grabbed him harshly by the arm and pulled him into the alleyway" to get rid of him? I suspect it was David who quickly exited the room after hearing Andy 'confess' and making David re-live the crash, but even in a moment of rage, I think David would pull Andy into a hug, to rescue him again as a victim, and accept Andy as a surrogate son, but not a replacement for his 'lost' Andrew. Celia? Too much of a stretch, but a very remote possibility. -
As Trustee for Ann Marie Tim had considered keeping the Lodge as Income Property, but that would be yet another task for him that takes time way from Stephen. Selling it makes sense. Now, what is Donnie's sly smile really all about? 😇

Life awaits Tim and Stephen, along with a promised child or two according to Donnie. It's time for that challenge.

Chapter 17: The Secrets We Keep
Anton_Cloche commented on C. Henderson's story chapter in Chapter 17: The Secrets We Keep
The number of children in situations like 'Andy' in the U.S. each year is over 1 million, and is estimated to have grown more than 20% during Covid, as 'at risk' children can't escape to school during the day. Add to that the number of homeless children (unaccompanied, without family) is close to another million. Add to that 2.2 million 'food compromised' aka Hungry, unfed and malnourished children each year, again having grown more than 20% during Covid as they don't have access to school breakfast and lunches, often the only significant meal they receive. That's over 4.2 million children between newborn and 18 years of age in need each year in the U.S. That number does not include children who 'age out' of foster care and have no place to live, and no safety net for higher education (unless 'lucky' enough to get a scholarship or training allowance). As Jesus apparently said, "Suffer little children, and forbid them not to come unto me", he was calling out to save children, seen as insignificant. Yet in all the centuries since he was on earth, little has changed. 👶 👦 👧 🚸 🫂 -
Was there a previous story about Tim and Donnie that I missed?

Oh Karl. Feel sad for the melancholy Dane. Alone even in a crowd. Perhaps he will find that someone 'special', who will be the spark needed to ignite his feelings. Even though at that time (1940?) ...

Awww 💞 👨👨👦 Donnie has a son (and more?) planned for Timothy and Stephen.
