There will be a lot of howling at night. Most for all the pups who's lives were taken.🐺

Cal; sounds like a lovely trip was had by all. Timothy and Stephen deserved this respite. Does Tim pursue suit against school board? A local judge might throw it out since no direct cross-examination possible. We shall see. (Anything else in the 'pipeline' you've completed but not published? Inquiring minds want to know. Where have I heard that?) 😀 Tony B

But you've left one out , and one that's especially apropos to Stephen, Nosferatu. https://images.app.goo.gl/BfqDXpTGXFWZfcBx8 As for naming vehicles, did that to a many, including my first... VW Bug (Punch Baby), restored '77 Norton Commando 750SS (Commander) and others. I have to say the idea of Liebe 'accidentally' delivering the 'coup de grâce' to Northman's walnuts (or hazelnuts?).

Chapter 12: A Father’s Love

In the doldrums of winter, this chapter didn't raise spirits. Putting it on pause. -
Chapter 11: Lemon Pie
Anton_Cloche commented on C. Henderson's story chapter in Chapter 11: Lemon Pie
Well Kat wont be able to help when he returns to find the building empty. And if his vintage Audemars Piguet Royal Oak perpetual calendar was handed down from this father it could be worth $200K as per a recent Bonhams auction. Too many brick walls... -
I have to wonder how long Donnie will keep 'watching over' and being Timothy's (and by extension, Stephen and Randy) Guardian Angel. In other stories and genres, Angels-in-waiting normal 'see the light' and 'ascend' when their job is done (often appearing in a final 'visit' to those left here). 👼

"...habanero whiskey..." be damned @kbois. You need some 'hair of the wolf that bit you'. Considering the ages of Alberts and Belland, as previously mentioned, they probably are the 'certain Council members who helped Hitler and the Reich'. Like those Axis scientists, 'Dr' Powell and his medical researchers will have to help cure and reverse the terrible state of Milo and the other 4 pups who are horribly stuck in mid-transformation. As for youngest pup Vann, he just may have found a new family with Sebastian and Reilly. As for those who 'leaders' who escaped, including Reilly's father Nichols, the rest of his group and Caleb? They face a special Hell when Seb and Reilly get hold of them. There will be much 'wailing and gnashing of teeth'. 🐺 🐺 🐺 🐺 🐺 🐺

A game of CLUE gone awry?🔎 Do we now 'apparently' know WHO and WHY? BTW, we need another 'emoticon' for this chapter. Somewhere between Sad and Hate, but not Pity. Celia's hatred of Elisabeth is a result of her girlfriend taking David as her boyfriend, but then offering to give him up if that's what CeeCee wanted, resulting in Celia feeling pitied. Hence the hatred. There's also Celia's (misplaced) hatred for David for not recognizing & remembering her as being part of the group he guided at the museum? Making her feel unimportant. Back to the future (sorry), Celia's hatred of Elisabeth and David has festered for years, and now they are about to become the perfect successful couple with a baby, when Celia wasn't able to conceive. And at the dinner party, something inside Celia snapped, But wait, they left and she was doing dishes. David was taking a scenic route home versus the faster, more direct route. If that came up during dinner, Celia could take the faster shorter route, get ahead of David in his vintage Mercedes (another symbol of success), and crash into them. Did she intend to kill David, Elisabeth and Andrew on the cusp of his own birth? In her mind she only thinks of how much she's taken away from the perfect couple / family. So IF Celia did crash into them, a good lawyer could get her off on a temporary insanity plea. Or it was Col. Mustard.

I suspect once those on Council (and their facilitators / functionaries out in the world) realise Robert's role in aiding Sebastian, Robert will meet a particularly gruesome demise, meant to send a message to those investigating the missing pups.
-
All Alpha's, like Sebastian have a key contact person at the Council who is responsible for spreading information and scheduling meetings IF needed. If that shifter ( shitter ?) is hiding others involved in this ring of pup-nappers, it's not surprised Seb's call didn't get a higher priority. Somebody is covering!

No lynch mob yet, but sales of pitchforks and flaming torches disguised as Key West Tiki lamps have stripped nearby FL stores 🔥 (oooh)

An entire town full of wolf shifters and you ask us to "bear with me"? All I can think of is a song that says: "If you go down to the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise..." And what exactly is Ben Marrock's real story and skills?

Tim definitely needs to amend his original claim (law suit) to include the Estate of Bruce Stevens, Coach Blithem, the Principal (at the time) as well as the School Board, as there is evidence Bruce raped and molested other students in school property AND with the knowledge of a school employee - the coach. The 'amended' claim should seek 10's of Million$ for ongoing pain and suffering. (These types of suits go on today in many towns, cities, states etc. Just look at recent law suits against colleges & universities). Time for coach and school board to get Slam Dunked. BTW in the U.S. and other countries School Board Trustees / Officials are often elected. ⚖️

Chapter 8: Deterioration

Thank you Andre for your wonderful peaks though the window at the Devlin-Major world. Whether on-board Amira or BelleCatherine, or at home with Cam and Lisabeth (yes and Rascal), your writing draws us in and makes us feel welcome. The charters are working very well, especially when hesitant governments see the economic benefits of 'well-healed' tourist money. Andrew feels a bit 'a bad parent' when his anger surprised / scared the twins, who at only 6 years old, aren't (and shouldn't be) used to that behaviour. "Then why do I feel like a piece of crap? Like I'm the worst father in the world". Although he later explained, first to a very sensitive Cameron, why he was angry, those feelings will linger in Cameron's mind for some time as we see with his quiet appearance in the kitchen, clearly not wanting to disturb or anger his Daddy on Christmas morning. As for your end of chapter comment Andre - "A huge thank you to all of who read, reacted and commented on 'Never walk alone'..., I hope 'Walk On' gives similar enjoyment". Trust me, it does and it will (especially the more that chapters are added). Just make sure to save chapters for Book 3 - Walk the Plank. 🙄 😉 🏴☠️

Until David finds out why 'this' happened, (baby Andrew although 'stillborn' was effectively murdered because of the 'collision', and if a charge is laid it would be 'Vehicular Manslaughter'), neither David nor Elisabeth can start to move forward. And it is an issue of 'moving forward', as no one is ever really able to 'put it behind you'. David has to find out no matter what, especially when it appears to him that the police aren't working hard enough. Will Kat need to turn a blind eye to some of partner Jack's less than acceptable methods? No doubt she will, because taking the higher moral and ethical ground doesn't always gets the results needed or wanted. Do we get to see Elizabeth's POV on the next / coming chapter(s)?

An interesting chapter. I suspect the officer is one Arthur knew and helped Karl get into the RAF pilot training program for two important reasons. First, Arthur helping Karl enlist (volunteer) to take flight training meant that Karl wouldn't become 'cannon fodder' like those poor souls drafted into the Army Infantry who only received minimal training to use a gun and then were sent off to the 'Front' (where many died when first deployed). Second, the hope on the part of Arthur and the Hopkins that Arthur's officer friend would not only watch over Karl to keep him safe while learning to fly, but also that the war would be over before Karl became a pilot at risk of being killed? Unfortunately, Germany invaded the Neutral Denmark in 1940 which meant that when Karl parent's sent him to be safe in England, they had no way of knowing the war would last another 4 years.

"Abelló, ... CJ Abelló" the sauve tuxedo clad young diplomat said, introducing himself as he reached for a champagne flute. His attire barely concealed a chiseled body while his deep voice a mixture of melodious with a hint of controlled menace. Certainly not the Marx Brothers 'Night at the Opera' (pun intended), but up until the Bolshoi Ballet ended, CJ and Owen were having a good, albeit guarded, time while waiting for Domogarov to spoil things. And spoil he did, coercing le danseur noble into trying to seduce CJ and Owen into a compromised situation for blackmail purposes. CJ putting Russian Ambassador Anatoly on notice, in his own Embassy, about his 'agent' sloppy spycraft in bugging their apartment, is a bold (brazen?) move. However, following that up by literally taking Yevgeny in hand and 'escorting' him outside to his and Owen's limo for a brief chat? Well played! The sore wrist (hopefully his 'pleasuring' one) should remind Domogarov not to mess around with CJ or his family, but despite a 'smarting' wrist, the Russian is likely planning a dumb retribution. Beware CJ, and make sure (as Ritch would say) someone "has your six". Waiting another 7 days? Arghh!

Good story so far, and nothing in grammar or spelling to alert my 'Editor's Eye' or Red Pencil 📝. And so the shoe drops. On further reflection will Patrice remember anything that can help find the driver (murderer of Andrew Andrews) or will discovering the driver of the grey Honda put Patrice and her 4-year old son Matt at risk? Can J&K put Patrice into protective custody? Maybe Kat can find Patrice any job to help keep her and little Matt 👦 safe? Also, torching the grey Honda (or any vehicle) does not necessarily eliminate evidence even if firefighters use water or foam to put fire out, despite what most people believe (why doesn't Det. Jack know this?). AND if fire burnt itself out, even better. Skin oils leave fingerprints behind on every surface. If soot is carefully removed they can be 'lifted', IR-scanned and photographed, and often in places NOT wiped down or directly touched by flame... inside glove / map compartments and especially in trunks. DNA biological residuals can survive fires even if only to give a partial 'hit'. There's much more for CSI to find 🔬 🔍, Jack and Kat! This will get more interesting.

What will the newspaper (remember those?) say and will it affect Timothy, Stephen and their families? Whether big cities or small towns, small minds everywhere are resistant to anything outside their status quo. Closed to anything new, prejudice rears its ugly head again and again. Whether in Timothy and Stephen's world or elsewhere. Timothy and Stephen need to make the most of what they have and what they can change. Randy will always be in their corner as will Donnie 👼 , who asked Timothy in a dream to "Name your first child Donald". But first the guys have to have some 'Us' time to figure out how that is going to happen = surrogacy, adoption or a child literally appearing out of nowhere. Good thing Tandy doesn't have a chicken coop, otherwise Tim and Stephen's eggs would be all in one basket (sorry, had to go there, but I'm blaming -18 deg weather).

My bad André. If I had any ability to see into the future, my few feeble attempts at playing huge lotto jackpots would have yielded results that would see me sitting in a warmer climate, perhaps the aft deck of Belle Catherine or Amira, enjoying a glass of Hogan Divergent Carignan Cab-Sauv Cinsault 🍷, and not hunkered down in -20 C and cursing a groundhog (marmot) telling us there's six more weeks of winter. Arghh. ❄️ * *(IF a certain virus ☠️ from a certain place 🌏 would stop replicating by design ... FYI - NOT a conspiracy theorist, but former NGO associates in I.D. sector and we 'chat').

Wonderful chapter André with great introduction of MY Amira to the rest of the family including those from Belle Catherine. It will be an interesting charter season for the newest member of what is now the Devlin-Major fleet. Transitioning Amira north to the Med via the 'short' route along North East coast of Africa is still most dangerous for ship crews, even in convoys as pirates get more weapons. More charter yachts are using partially submersible 'Flo-Flo transporter' ships to reposition their boats. Hopefully all goes well. Looking forward (vs aft 🙄 ?) To coming chapters.

A Home For Christmas 3
Anton_Cloche commented on Comicality's story chapter in A Home For Christmas 3
Aric is 'The Spirit of Christmas' full of: giving hope; good cheer; helping; love; understanding and goodwill. I can only hope that Blake opens up to Aric and reveals why he is homeless and on the streets. Especially in this year's punishing, brutal winter that has taken so many lives . Thank you for this story, that its well written. Looking forward to the coming chapters. -
Okay, from a Canadian perspective, being returned to Canada from England means a major airport 'Port of Entry'. Police inside airports can be either RCMP officers or local police with access to nearby jail / detention centers set up to hold prisoners awaiting transfer, with 'common rooms' for non-violent interactions which would seem to fit Bruce's description. An 'alleged' rape that occurred 15 - 20 years ago, wouldn't necessarily see Bruce as a suicide risk requiring isolation and 24-hr surveillance. But Jeffrey Epstein still found a way to die. Generally, interviews (usually lawyers, but can include journalists) are normally one-on-one in a monitored room. BUT since Covid-19 (assuming that's the unstated time frame for this story), regulations have changed for health reasons, and it's possible no regular interview room was available when Rich was there (despite an arranged time). Was Rich slow to react? If this is his first time doing a 'jail-house' interview he may not have believed what he was seeing Bruce do with the sheet. When Rich called for a guard, was there one nearby, or was it over a speaker? And while a two level bunk might not seem high enough to 'hang' from. Bruce only need to fall the right way to snap his neck and die, more or less, instantly.

Generally speaking, even an 'Enhanced Drivers License' (or a U.S. Nexus card) will not allow you to board any international flight, although there have been reports of lax security checks by TSA agents. and airline staff. Any passport must have a minimum of 6 months before its expiry. Could Bruce have bribed his way on board?
