Ronnie Doyle may be just who Rush needs, and given he worked with Rush's mom Collette at the youth shelter (was Ronnie originally there because he was thrown away?), he will offer comfort and calm to Rush's angst (and probably anger at Collette dying to soon).

Buena Vista Social Club

Wow, An Unexpected ... ☎️ 📞 📲 +5 -
I think everyone is missing something, that has yet to be revealed. (nudge, nudge Cal?) Setting aside all security measures put in place post 9/11 (TSA, HLS etc.) arriving at a U.S. or Canadian airport without a passport usually gets you detained and if you have no criminal record released and given time (usually 2 business days) to produce one by contacting your home country's embassy, so not automatically jailed or imprisoned. However, In the U.K. you would be automatically detained in a 'hotel' directly connected to all international airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, London Luton or Stansted etc) and given sufficient time to procure a passport (from Embassy). OR you can be held and placed on next flight returning to your home nation. So again not automatically jailed or imprisoned. ja BUT if DA issued international arrest warrant for Bruce, it should automatically show up in Passport Control computers and Bruce would be detained and returned to Canada. On arrival he would be jailed pending extradition to U.S. Even though he raped Ann Marie (and others), he wouldn't be considered an automatic target for 'prison justice' since he was not a pedophile. UNLESS someone 'else' who is aware of Bruce's activities, and may have participated, wants him permanently silenced. Someone who is 'powerful' now and doesn't want his name leaked. How Tim figures, ” I didn’t realize when I told Rich that I had signed Bruce’s death warrant"? I think Tim's guilt trip is unwarranted (no pun intended).

Karl Jørgen Nielsen. We are learning more about Karl as I don't recall his whole name being shared in Come Back To Us -1. But this is good to know going forward. It seems that the other Jørgen has taken Karl 'under his wing' (no pun intended), like a mother bird watches over her fledglings until they learn to fly. Is there more to this 'buddy / compatriot? And then there is the looming presence of Mimir.

Chapter 5: Jack’s Resolve
Anton_Cloche commented on C. Henderson's story chapter in Chapter 5: Jack’s Resolve
Interesting character revelations about Jack and what drives him in both police and family life. On the police side, his new partner Kat will be a challenge to him and his 'methods'. Unfortunately, resolving this case will bring no solace to Jack, and no happy ending to his own problems with his poor son. Or not a likely one. Anyone with his son's history and rehab rarely recovers fully. Too sad. Now lets see how David Andrews is doing. -
Oh maybe we shouldn't distract Carlos from CDMX, which by my estimates will wrap up around Memorial Day. Having a new story set in Hotlanta with a 'Snapelike' character might cause someone to go hawg wild. Or like this:

Whole lot of shaking going on. Brace yourself!

Or your can resort to the 'Emergency Snow Removal Kit... 5 gals of gas and a match. ❄️ 🥶. Chi-town friends remind me that must cities used to dump truckloads of snow into the lake. Only stopped recently when water analysis showed serious levels of road salt.

Not beyond the realm of possibilities. 🌡️🌋

Starting to think this tete-a-tete between CJ and Northman could turn into a cage match. But then again it would be horribly (but humorously) lop sided, with CJ on top (not 'that', you guys. Stop playing handball against the curb 🙄). A more apt description would reference a battle of wits, with one only 1/2 armed. One's a 'shining wit', while the other's a 'whining ____' . Liebe just told me: "Grown up word". 😜

'Someone' in DA's office, or Judge Howard don't want more names leaked of these involved in a wider RAPE group and are prepared to silence the one person who "knows where the bodies are buried" (not literally?). BUT are they overlooking / forgetting Bruce's 'Little Black Book' aka Secret Notes? Skull duggery continues. Stay tuned...

A great new chapter as the Major-Devlin family returns home to South Africa after a long vacation in Canada and the U.S. Then an unexpected gift of the Sunseeker 116 as an apology for the attack on Ryan years before. While Belle Elizabeth sounds nice, as Elizabeth showed on the family visit to Disney World, she loved being a 'Princess'. Now they have their own princess which is the English meaning of the Arabic name Amira. I think Ryan's fright (and Andrew's anger) at the appearance of someone who was the spitting image of the Arab man who nearly killed Ryan (years before the twins were born) may have some bearing on if and when the name of the yacht gets changed. They want to be sure the 100 Million Rand ($15 Million U.S.) is safely in their bank in case the UAE Emir takes exception to dropping the Arab name. Ryan having what sounds like a bit of Hypoglycemic (insulin) shock, quickly counteracted by the sugar-water, suggests he may have Diabetes.

Ann Marie seems to be back on an even-keel* (* a person functioning normally after a period of difficulty). Dr. Alex's intentions? Donnie told Tim to name 1st son Donnie. But if Tim and Stephen adopt - unless infants - they won't be easily renamed.

A 'Humpday' special, or any day read?

George can't seem to get his head out of his ass, even allowing that his best mate was killed. Dierk, on the other hand, reminds me of Marcellus' line in Shakespear's Hamlet (Act 1, scene iv); that there's "something rotten in the State of Denmark", which later became part of a joke, with an added line, "and it's not just the cheese". In the play, Marcellus is referring to the'disagreements and bad relationship between Denmark and Norway. In this case, Dierk is trying to bully Karl, when he is first introduced into the Danish Flying Squadren of the WW II RAF. Someone will take Dierk down a peg or two, or just perhaps it will be Karl who actually saves Dierk's life?

A Home For Christmas 2
Anton_Cloche commented on Comicality's story chapter in A Home For Christmas 2
This story has me thinking about all those people out on the streets, especially during these cold winter nights (in North America, where there's a deep freeze of Arctic/Siberian weather dropping temperatures well below zero, and in some areas into -30). Blake is one of over 1.5 million homeless and hungry children, youth, teens and even foster children aged out of the system, on the streets each night. Bad enough, but now 2 years of closed schools (with meal programs) and closed libraries (as shelter from the cold when open). this is happening in conjunction with Covid. I urge politicians, owners of vacant buildings (kept just warm enough to prevent pipes from bursting) to open them up and bring people in out of the deadly weather. Aric can literally save Blake's life.- 11 comments

The family that slays together stays together? Last name Soprano?

Cal, NO need to check. I was 'trying' to be funny by referencing 'cliffhangers' with Lemmings and pie. There's a saying somewhere that if you have to explain a joke, it's not so funny. Hmmm. Like trying to explain honesty to a politician (another attempt at humor. Stopping now ;-0 )

Chapter 3: A Wail of Grief
Anton_Cloche commented on C. Henderson's story chapter in Chapter 3: A Wail of Grief
And what of the little boy, crying out "Papa", as he threw golden Autumn leaves in the air, in the park. The image crystal clear in David's mind as he started to pass out? Was it wishful thinking on David's part? Or a visit from the spirit of Andrew 👼 at the moment of his death, infusing David with the love of an entire lifetime not to be lived, as if to console his "Papa" that he was alright where he now was - in a place where he would know no harm, and where Andrew the child, will wait until the day his parents join him. And their family will be complete, as never before. Is it possible, that as David's rage over his murdered son grows, that Andrew will visit David, and hopefully Elisabeth, in dreams to ease their pain, soothe their damaged souls, and help them find peace ? It is said, by some of those who have a 'near death' experience, that they "see and feel their entire life flash before their eyes". What if, as in Andrew's case, their life is taken before it can lived? Can all of that love and experience that was meant to happen over a lifetime, survive and be shared with those it was meant for had he lived? -
I thought the January 6 lunch menu said Lemmon Pie

Dan, a few hrs in prison can bring unwanted and unwarranted issues. "However, as long as he kept his head down and behaved, I'd see him in a few weeks, this time on my side of the fence." 3 weeks could spell doom if, as often happens in prison, 'something' happens. While most of your readers, and fans of HILN, would love to see a Book II, I think an additional Epilogue 2.0 could be a few Paragraphs, with everyone safely back in Clements, and when Matias got out of prison, Kyle got him an apprentice Bakers job at the same bakery Matias trashed and when the old woman retired she turned the business over to MK Bakery & Café. (and like most older buildings, there's a spacious 2-bed, 2 bath, kitchen & lounge upstairs. Maybe even another if there's a 3rd floor). What do you say DK? 🥖 🥙 🍰 ☕ Maybe even Rolo decorated Birthday Cakes for someone special. 🎂 HB DK

Better than Bear Bells or spray. 🔔 🐻 Wouldn't happen to have a 'real' brand name for that device? Or is it something Jonas is going to patent and (no pun intended) make a killing on, selling in both equipment stores like Snowys, and online?

So enough to disturb Tim's sleep, but not enough to keep him from getting some sleep. Hmm, what could this mean? (well there's an open Can of Worms if ever one existed). Amazing the effect dropping a bunch of subpoenas can have. Particularly on a family. Talk about the other shoe dropping. Orange Creamsicle a favorite flavor.

Another great chapter Carlos. You having César and Brett as your favorite characters in the entire CJ universe is no surprise. I get the impression they are not only a personal reflection of yourself, but that César reminds you of someone who was 'very special' in your life. In this chapter, I love when Ambassador Cox shows up just as Northman was planning on giving CJ a really rough 'review'. Instead he got subtly reamed out with a thinly disguised reminder to reconsider what could be in store if he persists in giving CJ a rough time. (which may require Stephen's office attire to include dark pants, Depends, or both 💩). CJ continues to work his magic, having learned well from César and Brett. And César continues to lead by example including Infanta when her daughter Lupe meets the Mexican 'First Lady' - Primera Dama de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos - Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller. Thank You. Tony B (aka Anton)

I used the ANGRY emoji to react to this chaptet because of George pushing Karl away ( to save him from being homosexual ? ) which only forces Karl into making a decision that would put him in peril and possibly die by going to fight in the war. George later gets Karl to join the RAF Danish squadron in the hope that by the time Karl completes his flying lessons, the war would be over, In reality, there was a Danish Spitfire 🛩️ contingent of some 280 Danish men with the RAF during WW II. Unfortunately they suffered a great many losses. Hopefully Karl is not amongst them. 💔
