I’m glad Jubal found more of his belongings & his horseflesh, even if Bean wasn’t his beloved Kema….she might not be the best mount but something tells me Bean will prove that Jubal did get a bargain for her. The loading of the dead bodies-(while I know was necessary) was dis-gus-ting. Oh the bath those two will have!! What will happen when our intrepid travelers get to the sheriff? I was just coming back to say that I liked seeing Perry’s POV, lol. I think being the baby of the family & spoiled, Dayna was used to getting her way and everyone going along with it, regardless of whatever it was she wanted. Random thought-I wonder if Jessica, Perry, Dayna & Dayna’s babies look like Trudy, Jed or a combination of the two. (Sorry if the description was given & I missed it before).

I’m actually not really sure what Perry’s intentions are towards Max, just that Max will not emerge out of this situation unscathed, which is sad because he’s trying to break bad habits of his own.

I agree Kyan should’ve told Max. Perry may have a point about his friends with benefits rationale because he’s right, friends with benefits usually doesn’t work out in the long run but he’s using the rationale to keep his distance/balance….he’s never wanted friends with benefits with Kyan, he wants everything with Kyan, Kyan as his man. There’s a lot of obfuscation in this chapter, kind of like the pond in the rain….no one can be honest with others until they are honest with themselves.

You have mastered the art of the tease, both with Kyan and your readers, lol. Umm….so I’m trying to understand why Kyan must give Max Perry’s phone number?!?! Are they 12?!?! Perry and Max have met twice….if you want to give the costume party a pass, okay but numbers could have been exchanged between all the drinking, humping and bumping at the club, even on the ride to drop Max off….if you don’t want a middleman, Max, you could have cut him out by now. Personally, I would’ve taken Perry’s not asking for my phone number as lack of interest. I suppose Perry’s ambivalence about getting Max’s number means he will know how to handle it but I am questioning Perry’s ability to relate to anyone on a deeper level outside of Kyan & his ex-boyfriend. I hear what Perry is saying about the friends with benefits balance but I call bullshit. Kyan is not the only one confused and frustrated, lol.

Speaking superficially though, I really look forward to the expansion of Kyan’s sexual knowledge….so that he can reward Perry with more than better angled hand jobs for being Super Uncle, lol. Just saying….superficially. 😬
