And so it starts…. Before I start, thank you for the accelerated timeline….I know the grief by now is interwoven into their existence and it’ll be nice to see how life goes on living with grief. Gracie being a terror is funny (on paper, lol); I guess you have to negotiate with terrorists when one is your child, lol!! The temper tantrum during the shopping scene made me think of one of the ways I read once to stop a tantrum: if Kyan threw himself on the floor and had a tantrum of his own-it’s supposed to stun the child out of their own mood. 🤷♀️ This chapter had me amend any future sad-i-pillar cocoons to have a slight air slit, especially if it’s done with someone else, lol. So…. Not much of Perry has been covered outside of him being an anchor for Kyan and his nieces & nephews….is he gay? Has he always been attracted to/in love with Kyan or is he just gay for Kyan? Is Kyan bi or will his feelings be an organic development from the best friendship he has with Perry? (Gay for Perry, so to speak, as well) I gotta say, if Perry’s been romantically into Kyan all this time, he has the discipline of a saint AND a monk (although I do hope he’s been getting some kind of sexual healing while pining for his brother in law). This story is coming into a set up for an incredible romantic relationship with incendiary physical manifestations of said romance….and I’m here for it. Also-your kid speak is da bwest eva!! 😊

Good to hear from you. I’ve missed Mitch & Taylan and Kit & Tom….look forward to seeing what they’ve been up to as well as what other stories you have to tell, your couples are fiery in their love for each other and I like to see it.

Actually, I don’t. I think like all of us, you’re a product of your environment and experiences and they are sometimes revealed in your stories and comments, lol. I could be wrong. 🤷♀️

And because I am a “FRIENDS” fan, I couldn’t resist “Noah smiled alright, channeling too much awkward Chandler Bing energy” Christ Almighty, lol. Also: “She laughed, then looked at Perry. “What do you think? Could Ky get anything he wanted with those ‘doe eyes’ of his?” Perry narrowed his eyes at Jessica, then glanced at Kyan so quickly that there was no way he caught Kyan’s best puppy eyes before he cleared his throat. “I guess.” Jessica knows something, mmhmm….wonder if Trudy and Jed know….🤔 Shit, Perry deserves him but that’s gonna be a heck of a path to togetherness.

If I could put a love and sad on this together I would. ❤️ 😢 You are kicking my ass. Thanks for “sad-i-pillar”, new one for the emotional arsenal.

This chapter really hit me hard. After being my mother’s primary caretaker for three years in her battle with Parkinson’s disease, she died at the start of Thanksgiving week last year. Life was really hard taking care of her and balancing my responsibilities as a single parent….it’s been harder still going through grief, adjusting to my new normal and reconnecting with my son the way I couldn’t when being a caretaker dominated my life. Honestly, I got to the part where Kyan told Noah (my son’s name, btw) “You should only ever feel as sad as you feel.” and I broke down and had a good cry. I’m going to have to finish this another time. Grief has seasons and serendipity is real; you publishing this right now blows me away…. I think though the grief is different, this story is going to kick my emotional ass to read because my Noah and I are moving on & I know with your HEA heart @Mrsgnomie this story will parallel the light waiting at the end of the tunnel we see. I guess this is my very long winded way of saying thank you, lol, this story will be cathartic for me. 💔💝

Oh my gosh. 💔 What a terrible situation for this family but am glad to see a new story from you @Mrsgnomie. Will be interesting to see the recovery from this loss as a family & Kyan finding love again….Perry too.

Crazy dogs/crazy kids….there’s not much difference, is there? Lol. I’m sure (hoping?) it was welcome chaos, 🤞 bet that rest was especially sweet, 😊. Thanks for staying up to read my comment. 🙏 🍻

One of your most satisfying HEA’s. 💝 Thanks, Gary. 🙏 🎁 🍻

I thought I read all of your stories by now….the title looked familiar but when I got to the end, I saw no reaction and no comment. () Seems like I’m supposed to read this now….today. I’ve shared with you what I’ve been going through in dealing with the death of my mom these past six-ish months and while this story is about loss of the romantic kind, it’s also a story about hope and new beginnings and starting over, things that I’m doing now for different reasons-among that too is also the hope of starting over romantically. While I have been blessed with the support of incredible friendships during this time, I’ve faced mourning & family drama without that special, right someone by my side & I miss that….this story reminds me that even looking at 50 in three and a half months, there’s still time for me to find him. 🙏 🎁 It’s been my belief that your stories are the gifts that keep on giving….my serendipitous stumble onto this new story that I thought was an old one is proof of that. I’m off to part two now….more breadcrumbs on the path to my new normal. Bless you always, Gary. Cheers 🍻

Thanks so much for the invite, but that Korner seems quite crowded & I don’t do crowds. 😉 I’m a Korner of one, with great appreciation for the antics of the masses. 💐

I’m going to miss the “Heckle and Jeckle” show as much as the insightful comments. The “Heckle and Jeckle” meme I picked didn’t take, so:

I believe animals and babies can see through the veil and that it thickens for most people as they get older….most; some will always retain sensitivities of “otherness” and some can see it plain as day.

“I think Sebastian is going to contact his IT guru, Lex.” HI LEX❣️❣️❣️❣️ I was going to ask if Lex could detect the supernatural in someone’s aura-lo & behold, you answered before I could, lol. ❤️ that the whole pack is learning sign language. I took up ASL in high school and didn’t keep up with it, I’d be fluent by now if I did; I think it’s a beautiful form of expression. Quite the cliffhanger….I like it and look forward to the cure and battle to come….it was heartening to see life back in Caleb. Nicely played.

Okay folks, this is it. Whether you like it or not, it's the last chapter in this story. I hope you've enjoyed the ride! Wow. Even though I knew it was coming, it snuck up on me anyway, lol. Going to read now….and thank you. 🎁
