I was going to take time & figure a scent combo but I like this base-the snickerdoodle connection & if not cedar, some other type of pleasantly fragrant wood, as Tyler is a musician and all instruments outside of brass are made of wood.

Wow. 😍 How often have we wished a dream stayed with us when we woke? Ashton had to know his real life nightmare was truly over when he woke to scent and vision of his Mom, just as Austin must have upon seeing their Dad…..(is this an indication of whom each was closer to when they were younger?) That their first coherent communication was “I missed you” to their parents? You delivered a first class, ugly cry reunion, @kbois , lol; Thank you. 🎁 Do the Larabees care that their sons’ mates were same sex? Was there any indication Ashton and/or Austin were gay before they were kidnapped? “Weren’t they going to get poked and prodded? He was confused. Someone always gave them a thorough exam whenever he and Austin were sold. One of which always required them to strip down to be pinched and poked all over.” ☹️ For me, this passage brought home the fact it’s been eight years Ashton and Austin were trafficked….there are horrors to overcome, the only consolation is that A&A are alive and in the best possible surroundings to recover….as much as their mates and parents are the foundation for that, speaking to other survivors will help to heal as well. I forget if Ashton was the mischievous one or extrovert, he seems to be the lens both boys reaction are viewed from, maybe he was born first? I still have more to say, lol but I also have more to do so part II on the way….

What do Ashton and Austin’s wolves want to do to their mates in their partial ferality? Would they dominate them? Destroy them?

When I got to the story and saw there were already three pages: LOL!!

As painful as his demise was, he still didn’t suffer enough. I thought that was so mean too, lol!! I give Corbin the benefit of the doubt, he’s been trying so hard in a situation he’s clearly out of his depth to handle-even with that, it is he who basically saved whatever humanity Ashton and Austin still have.

Holy Moly. What fresh hell is this?!?! There is light at the end of the tunnel but there’s a lot to do to get there. In spite of the challenges, a bond has already been forged between the mates that is strengthening….I look forward to double A’s reunion with their parents.

You’ll laugh too (and should pat yourself on the back); it’s good stuff.

This chapter contains some of the funniest scenes you’ve ever written: The “gangbang” in Shane’s bed, anytime Kurt says “gross” and DAKS’ reaction to AARP coming to the pool party: I watched the old men take off their shirts, followed by their pants, only to find each and every one of them had worn bikini bottoms! “Nooooo,” Aaron moaned. Drew and Kurt took one look at the situation and swam to the ladder as fast as they could; joining Aaron and I by the French doors. Kurt rubbed his face, “What the fuck is happening? I’m so confused.” I laugh hard every time I’ve reread this chapter.

Well….considering @kbois mentioned Jay several times herself in her story, Ima say no.

My fellow readers are blowing me away with their comments for this chapter. “The whole thing had a prodigal son feel. “ Such a profoundly true statement.

“The guys and I want to go into the stands and see what’s happening. Can you watch the girls?” I blanch. “There are seven minutes left in a tied game!” Loren rolls his eyes. “Maeve is sleeping and Maci is so fucking tired. I can’t take them with me.” I glare at him for having the audacity to ask such a thing during the most insane game I’ve watched in years. I don’t have time to go toe-to-toe with him. He’s too stubborn and I don’t want to miss any more than I already have. I lean back and look past dad. “Mom,” I whine.

I loooooove baby bitches (in the best way, LOL!!) It shouldn’t be a given that every child will take to everyone and like you, I agree they shouldn’t be forced….when a baby bitch grants you acceptance (if you ever make the grade), HUUUUNNNNAAAAYYYY.

How humorously ironic that Jay the adrenaline junkie positively freaks at his babies being just like him, LOL!!

It only makes sense that two of the three loves of Jay’s lives should coincide- the girl’s birthday and Super Bowl….that both his brothers played and one won full circled the family connection (way to go with the pom poms, Donna, Loren’s fearful horror of what they were beforehand was hysterical.) Loren wanted to save just one life recounting what he learned about the other path his life could have taken….he couldn’t save Geoff from what he went through but he redirected the path to recovery Geoff will take. “Remember, however life ends up for you, no matter how good or bad you think it is, there’s an alternate reality that didn’t play out for a reason. Enjoy this life because it’s the one you have. It’s the one that matters. Your past contributed to who you are, but don’t ever let it define you. You’re bigger than any situation, and you have the power to change your future.” As beyond wise as these words are, the heart and mind can war with each other, often making this easier said than done. I think this post covers most of my observations, though I’m sure a tidbit or two went amiss, lol.

This chapter was a full course meal, something sweet, something savory, totally full and satisfying. Baby’s first holidays are more for their people than for them, as they will hardly remember them, lol….it is the time to establish new traditions as Jay and Loren did with visits to the grandparents; Loren learned from their visit with Mike and Julia what he will himself come to fully realize in time with the girls: when done right, your parents will always support you, they will always be home. The emergence of the twins’ personalities are too cute for words: being identical in looks but opposite in demeanor-Maci being sunny and Maeve being stormy, only time will tell if those weather patterns hold. 😀 “Do you like Christmas cookies?” he asks Maci, but smiles when Maeve perks up at the offer. Maci nods and touches her belly. A cute new thing they do when they want food. “ Too cute❣️❣️😍😍 I love the idiosyncratic traits little ones develop as they learn how to express themselves.
