  1. It’s good to see that Jed and Trudy also know about Perry’s feelings for Kyan and that they support a relationship between them. “Life is full of those kinds of dichotomies. Dayna’s happiness with Kyan meant you suffered a broken heart. You finally being with Kyan means Dayna is dead. Either way, being happy for one kid means being distraught for the other.” Mr. and Mrs. Steele seem to have a good assessment of who their children were/are….they knew that their youngest, assertive, impulsive child got herself into a challenging situation at a young age (and really they were great in dealing with that in and of itself-how many parents would take in the boy who got their teenage daughter pregnant?). Like most willful people, there lay a large feeling of insecurity in Dayna….who knows why she would have it, being a member of this seemingly warm, supportive family but she did….maybe there was an already existing sibling rivalry between she and Perry that was only exacerbated when she saw the closeness that developed between her husband and brother. Like most willful people, she knew herself and her aptitude for selfishness, she probably feared that deep down she didn’t deserve a kind man (well, boy at that time) like Kyan and that her better tempered, good natured brother did. Honestly, I feel Kyan dodged a bullet in becoming a widower-given his background, he would have worked to keep his family together at all costs & I feel the cost would have been high because I think his marriage to Dayna would have been more challenging than most (I personally think Dayna was a bitch 🤷‍♀️)….could Dayna have kept on making babies to keep Kyan? 🤔 All this time, the speculation was on Kyan’s uncertainty in having a same sex relationship when it is Perry who’s the Nervous Nellie….on the cusp of getting his heart’s deepest desire, he’s afraid to truly believe that it’s been as easy as it is between he and the love of his life; his hesitation is understandable, he wouldn’t survive this most important relationship not working out….I pray he’s able to withstand the bumps they’ll encounter & see them for the relationship adjustments they are and not that “Kyan would wake up and tell Perry ‘thanks but no thanks’.”

I read your chapter summaries as well as the story synopsis….this seems like a love story to me, albeit one with a very specific dynamic; whatever Zachary’s other motives, genuine affection for Andrew seems included & Andrew, whether due to his own challenges (the bed wetting & subsequent esteem issues associated with that) bares some blame in some of the confrontations he encounters. I will go back and read the previous chapters for further background but Zach doesn’t seem like the enemy nor Andrew an angel. Very intriguing story.
  3. Exactly. 😄 Thank you.
  4. I was trying to give you an out but okay, lol. 😉 🤷‍♀️ I get that storytellers just follow the plot where it takes them, if that where the story goes, it’s where the story goes. Given the year I’ve had, I can tell you I appreciate that none of your main character's journeys have lead you down that road, (🤞) my emotional wound has yet to totally scab over….I also know if it did, I’d have to put my big girl panties on and deal with it.
  5. Didn’t Dayna die? 🤔
  6. Me too. 💔
  7. This was a love and laugh comment, so since the original post got the love: Good job, Beta. 👍
  8. I think Dayna was a virgin, an aggressive virgin, lol. She may or may not have known something was off with her & Kyan’s sex life but she for damn sure knew her brother was jonesing for her husband. Wonder what Trudy and Jed know/knew and how they feel about it.
  9. Love your comment. I also thought of Reid as a potential for Max. I’m sorry he may get hurt and really hope Max is understanding about Kyan & Perry, Kyan needs a good, non-family friend. 🤞
  10. Also, how fucking cute with the kids singing karaoke and “leaving a trail of cum crumbs” How I hollered when I read that!! Never thought I’d see that in print, it’s the perfect phrase….great minds think alike, lol. 👏
  11. This was beautiful, a sensuous blend of the emotional and sexual growth Kyan is experiencing, that Perry was hoping against hope for and never expected to get. “Loving Dayna was simple. It was born of a single night of reckless passion and forged in the flames of an amazing family. Loving Perry was a different story altogether. It started as a deep-seated friendship. A brotherhood that deepened into so much more.” This passage summarizes it all perfectly-Kyan and Dayna were a first love, a puppy love that might not have lasted, Kyan and Perry is an adult love tested and tempered by life & ground in an organic, easy bond that was missing in Kyan’s marriage….they were both love and they both matter but one is the past, ground in family and a tame taste of what romantic sex could be….the other is the present and the the future (🤞), an erotic, passionate, more compatible relationship with the full possibilities of desires explored. Kyan is growing up and moving on, Perry is having what he thought was an impossible dream come true….win/win.
  12. That was a look of disbelief….a “yeah, right”, lol. I’m a lover, not a fighter….unless you mess with my kid. 😉😘

    Chapter 3 Bean

“And I was carrying something valuable. You,” he said with a quick sideways grin.” Reeeeaaaallllyyyy Lucas?!?! 🫨 “You know you took a chance moving so fast like you did? Admit I was afeared for you.” Lucas turned back his way. “Sorry for that. Wouldn’t have done so if’n I didn’t have you at my back. Trusted you would keep me safe.” His grin shone in the moonlight, and Jubal had to grin too.” Reeeeaaaallllyyyy Lucas?!?! 🫨 Lucas and Jubal definitely bonded defeating the ambush but this denotes more….something in Lucas’ regard for Jubal. Dinah feeding off Lucas’s energy during the walk up to the snake’s temporary lair was a reminder of the importance of the bond between man and animal; back then, that connection often meant the difference between life and death for both. I’m glad Jubal found more of his belongings & his horseflesh, even if Bean wasn’t his beloved Kema….she might not be the best mount but something tells me Bean will prove that Jubal did get a bargain for her. The loading of the dead bodies-(while I know was necessary) was dis-gus-ting. Oh the bath those two will have!! What will happen when our intrepid travelers get to the sheriff? How long will it be before that son of a snake slithers out from where he’s hiding to cause more trouble? What will happen when Jubal and Lucas have their baths? Tune in next week when we check out “Bearpaw: An Old West Tale” 🐾
  15. Thank you. I’ll do a better job of paying attention in the future. 😏
  16. I was just coming back to say that I liked seeing Perry’s POV, lol. I think being the baby of the family & spoiled, Dayna was used to getting her way and everyone going along with it, regardless of whatever it was she wanted. Random thought-I wonder if Jessica, Perry, Dayna & Dayna’s babies look like Trudy, Jed or a combination of the two. (Sorry if the description was given & I missed it before).
  17. Practice makes perfect….
  18. Oh and all this foreplay/teasing Kyan is doing with Perry? Does he know what he’ll unleash?
  19. Gracie is the cutest pain in the arse. ❤️ Noah, Ava & Henry are adorbs, too but it’s that little extra with Gracie. 💝 Jessica is a great big sister, although I’m not thrilled she pushed Perry onto the bro crew. Love at first sight? Perry is going to have the biggest orgasm of his life when he and Kyan have penetrative sex for the first time….wonder who will top first? 🤔
  20. Perry is more certain of himself than Kyan is, he knows Kyan is confused which is why he’s keeping his true feelings about Kyan to himself….in protecting his heart (which he has every right to do) he further confuses Kyan, I think it’s why Perry won’t kiss Kyan-the friends with benefits veneer would dissolve under all his passion. Kyan’s confusion keeps him from being forthcoming with Max….this is actually a problem Kyan created in trying to play matchmaker, his intentions were honorable, until they weren’t….he tried to clear things up by telling Max he’s bisexual, just not who he was bisexual with, lol. It’s like @Mrsgnomie said, we do the best we can, it’s not always the right thing. Max is confused because he’s not getting the truth from either Kyan or Perry. I’m actually not really sure what Perry’s intentions are towards Max, just that Max will not emerge out of this situation unscathed, which is sad because he’s trying to break bad habits of his own.
  21. LMAO!! I thought of your comment when I wrote that! Lol.
  22. I agree Kyan should’ve told Max. Perry may have a point about his friends with benefits rationale because he’s right, friends with benefits usually doesn’t work out in the long run but he’s using the rationale to keep his distance/balance….he’s never wanted friends with benefits with Kyan, he wants everything with Kyan, Kyan as his man. There’s a lot of obfuscation in this chapter, kind of like the pond in the rain….no one can be honest with others until they are honest with themselves.
