Much as I teased about the twins’ reaction to Elijah and Tyler before, I get it better now and actually think it very sweet. We humans call it love at first sight or soul mates (yes I believe in it, I also believe everyone does not always meet their “mate”); should such a connection happen, it is an appeal to our baser instincts, the animal within….it would be a more visceral reaction for Ashton and Austin, given their lengthy privation of emotional connection with anyone but each other. Corbin’s recount of how he came across the twins definitely hints at some type of sexual abuse….there is much to overcome but as Giles said it is possible with Elijah and Tyler; add Mama and Papa Laramee to the equation and it’s not a matter of “if” the boys will get well but “when”: “It has to be someone close, like a parent or sibling.” Giles looked directly at him and Tyler before adding, “Or mate.” My heart breaks for Caleb, he has so clearly punished himself for his past misdeeds, it’s a wonder he’s alive; I don’t know what will help him at this point….hopefully Zev can put him back on the path to forgiveness. 🤞 Of course our beautiful Kah-gey would be a Guardian. When you are “an independent contractor in pest control and elimination” who specializes “in exotic creatures.” hands (and souls) will get dirty; I LOVE that he had Elijah’s love, that he mattered to someone and that someone saw his pureness of spirit and said to him that he was good, he needed to hear those words. He’s still “guardianing” (yes, my made up word, lol) from beyond. Music does indeed soothe the savage beast and is the first of many ways these four will have to communicate with each other.

Btw, I don’t think you were crude, you very delicately asked how Tyler is supposed to have marital relations with his husband in the future, quite a legitimate concern. I was gonna be crude but decided against it….your influence, 😉.

You know, maybe that is why they reacted the way they did to Elijah and Tyler….so perhaps it is love at first sight? I don’t know. What this development has shown me is that @kbois definitely does have a solution to be found in the works….she wouldn’t have posted a pic of the twins in the beginning of the story now and I doubt this is some after school special about learning to love people in the literal skin they are in (although we should, we definitely should, of course).

This chapter made my eyes spring a leak. Loren the Crusader and Loren the Healed touched on all the tender spots of dysfunction and trauma that’s been an unfortunate part of anyone’s childhood; he definitely touched on mine. As far as chromosome 23a & chromosome 23b, to quote Scotty Appleton in “New Jack City”: “I wanna shoot you so bad, my dick's hard!“ (and I don’t even have a dick!!!!) Those two husks of flesh won’t get any mention from me anymore unless it’s exultation at whatever karma dishes out; karma is real and karma is just and I’m excited to witness it. It’s disgusting that they are part of a cast of despicable characters. 💔🤬 “The truth is, nothing Rob is about to say will change my life. I should be feeling … more as his story reaches a crescendo, but I only feel peace. Heyyyy….what if Caleb is Corbin Taylor?!?! I too thought one of the twins killed Ken Martin to defend or protect the other.
