I can’t help but feel that our dear Kah-gey is the one directing Elijah’s ideas, instead of being his guardian angel, he is his navigator on this mission, dedicated to keeping him safe….whomever Elijah is paired with, it will always be three on their team. Your attention to detail on strategizing, as well as cataloging the lingering complications the hybrid pups are facing is to be applauded 👏 the whole endeavor is overwhelming in scope and yet nothing seems to be missed. While I’m sure this story may be a welcome distraction in the midst of your grieving, I thank you as a reader for having the strength to still want to share it….please know that any delays will be understood.

Montana at last. = It’s good to get reacquainted with the guys again. Besides uncovering all needed to break up the trafficking ring, I think Elijah will do a lot of healing here, true healing, as it is apparent that Tyler and Elijah are an inherent part of each other’s happiness and this seems to be the only place Elijah feels he belongs at the moment. E& T’s banter and emotional shorthand are humorous and touching (and noted by all). I’m feeling lulled….never a safe headspace in an @kbois story, lol. This passage includes the “ha ha” moment for me this chapter: Tyler guessed he was the empathetic one of the group. Either that, or he was trying to get him to let his guard down so they all could enjoy a little Scooby snack before their dinner. An appe-Ty-zer. Nope, not letting his thoughts go there. He promised Elijah. Appe-Ty-zer, indeed.

It knocked me over while I had a deep belly laugh over it….I do tell my son the answer to every unasked question is no. This was a humorous reminder that “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” We also know Elijah is of Fae and wolf shifter heritage, a hybrid himself; Cassiel may well be correct about Elijah’s importance in busting this sex ring. (Ima still call him “B” now and again, in tribute to the dearly departed:

I’m relieved Elijah and Tyler made it this far without incident, I won’t relax until they are safely with the Sebastian & Co.

Hmmm…. At first, I was going to say that love for Tyler’s family aside, Elijah is in a position of flux….his roots can be replanted anywhere; at this point I see E&T together wherever or whomever comes across their path. Theeennn….something about “ I can't imagine Tyler abandoning him for some wolfie luv.” made me wonder-will Tyler have some BFF love in his future? 🤔 You’re tighter than a virgin at fleet week about giving anything away-this was just a kernel of a thought that came into my mind that I threw against the wall (some things stick, some things don’t 🤷‍♀️)

Fellow lifetime tea lover here….it’s my favorite beverage. As a product of the American Northeast, I’ve never been to Cracker Barrel, Howard Johnson’s or Stuckey’s but I really wish Stuckey’s was in my experience for the tea aspect alone, lol.

It was nice to see things from Tyler’s point of view; I think this trip will be transformative for him in ways besides being Elijah’s support. I’m still unsure if The Fae ambushed Kage & if he isn’t setting up to do the same to Elijah….guess we’ll find out.

Before Wednesday (and what at that time will be two chapters later), the following passage captured me from chapter 16: “He could clearly make out all the shades of blackness the night presented. So many names for variations of the color that dictated his existence. Onyx. Ebony. Obsidian. Sable. Raven. All different, but meaning the same.” It was the first time I can remember seeing so many different shades of black listed at once, it beautifully illuminated darkness. There was a comical section I was going to note before murder was the case that you gave us so that went right out the window.

You had to bring up Nash. Lyssa and Nash have been my “obstacles” in your realm….now there’s Kage; The list will grow BUT calamity characters are in the minority of your cast, they kinda have to be (you put some BIG calamities on your people, lol)
