Methinks Elijah and the Montana pack may just wind up helping/saving our sexy assassin. While he is loyal, Kage has lived as an island; he knows nothing about that concept being reciprocated….if “his shapeshifter” even smells him in trouble, he’ll find out about it in spades. Elijah is Kage’s isthmus to life and love and he has no intention of letting him go. I know, I know….speculation. 😊

The domesticity between Elijah and Kah-gey was sweet to observe….the sexy assassin took to life with “his shapeshifter” like a duck to water & Elijah recognizes that he wants to keep Kage. (I don’t know if he acknowledges he’s in love yet) I was tickled by the eating quirk (putting syrup in all the waffle squares is adorbs). The scene with the Fae & Trevor the assassin was enlightening-I’ve only encountered one other story with elemental shifters, it speaks to the hardball and deep connections the big fur ball is playing to involve such rare entities. As dangerous an assignment as killing Huntington might be, it’s one Kage will easily do because it eliminates the biggest threat to “his home”. ( I know he hasn’t acknowledged he’s in love yet, lol) With so much yet to be seen, I don’t know what (or if) Elijah & Kage’s happily ever after will look like but I hope they get to have one. 💞 Kage will be an awesome, faithful partner to Elijah.

Exes can always tell when someone is moving on, lol.

That hair trigger of Avery’s is definitely a mixed blessing….it seems he and Clint are a perfect match, makes me wonder if it’s too good to be true….🤔

I didn’t see one for Cali.

It’s not just a drink, although I like the drink better….less chance for sand in unexpected places, lol.

Somehow this seems the calm before the storm. It was illuminating to hear each shifter’s experiences and I loved the swim they took from their unique perspectives-sometimes it takes walking in another’s shoes (or shadow 😉) to understand their position, as well as appreciate your own circumstance. The two shifters taking off and leaving Tyler alone was concerning….I hope he’s still there when they get back and that nothing interrupts sexy time.

Thanks to Kage, Elijah isn’t worried about “mort” (death) he’s worried about petit mort (little death, another phrase for orgasm, lol)

Won’t mention the other story name here but that is a good one. I think it safe to say that all shots those two make between each other are foul balls. (and eminently entertaining, lol.)

Kage was accepted by Mama Williamson as an in-law….nice. I’ve always admired those who can reframe less palatable information and “Kah-gey“ was an expert-pest control specializing in exotic creatures, indeed. Something hot and heavy will befall that camping trip, I just don’t know if it will be sexual, another murder attempt or both. I’m surprised Kah-gey hasn’t initiated any other sexual encounter with Elijah but it seems like Kah-gey takes the line between work and play very seriously and guarding Elijah is work….we’ll see how long that lasts, ‘cause I’m sure he’s tempted.

It seems the only good Turner is a dead Turner, (besides Robert but he’s a half Turner anyway). While the ending of the chapter left much to be concerned about, this was hysterical: “Heya, babe. I think we have time for me to suck you off before Dad knocks.” Robert moved the towel from his head and spotted Adam and Giles in the sitting area looking at him. He hastened the towel to cover himself, and his face darkened to a shade of scarlet. “Dad… good morning.” Glad you revisited this story, btw. Thank you.

Lobster and scallop lasagna sounds weirdly good, lol. Enjoy.

shell-shocked shapeshifter/shell-shocked shapeshifter/shell-shocked shapeshifter/ shell-shocked shapeshifter/ shell-shocked shapeshifter. You always create such an erotic connection between your lovers, based on a deep emotional bond they aren’t always aware they already have-Kage doesn’t know what love is so he doesn’t realize he’s already in love with Elijah….If Elijah’s life wasn’t in mortal jeopardy (the situation which has brought Kage into his life) he might be more aware; they both will hold onto the “eyes wide open it’s just a mutual attraction” thing until the dust clears. “Nothing fancy; pan seared scallops with fried rice and vegetables.” sounds delicious for tonight, I think Kage is inspiring me to eat cleaner too, lol. “Giving head was always something he’d done out of necessity, not for pleasure.“ 🫤 Is sex work a part of Kage’s past/job? “Jesus, Kage.” Kage lifted his head. “Demoted? What happened to ‘Oh God, Kage’?” he swallowed the stiff cock down to the back of his throat and was rewarded with a burst of saltiness. “Oh God, Kage!” That’s better. The turnabout Elijah gave Kage was even funnier, LOL!! This was a nice break between in the midst of the crazy they’ve been dealing with, yet no less intense….”Kajah” (I suck at ship names) is as big an event as the search for the end of this sex ring. Oh and….recommendation done. ✅

Avery and Clint are HOTHOTHOT 🔥🔥🔥 “ Intense gray eyes found Ave's aqua ones. "I really enjoy doing things with my hands." Think these will fit?" came the husky whisper into Ave's ear. Their coupling is going to be off the charts….Avery will likely be passing out many times based on his sensitivity, I’d think passing out from pleasure is a good way to go, lol!! Nice set up, avidly looking forward to more.

This passage moved me so much-a sad, sad eulogy to someone’s life….there is always a chance to change it but you have to want to: ”Alec couldn’t get over how sad both his parents’ lives were. Few friends, an unhappy marriage, an estranged son, and a life that had mostly been filled with anger and hurt. There was no way his mother was happy. When she was little, this hadn’t been the end she imagined. If kids thought about that. Hell, when he was little it probably wasn’t what she expected. He didn’t think that when she held him for the first time, she imagined there’d be nothing but pain between them.” The funeral did highlight how bereft Henry’s life is now-what are his options? How can he support himself? Does he expect Alec to support him? Would Alec want to? How does a codependent stand on their own? Do they?

This was a super duper, extra special chapter….one of the best and most meaningful I’ve read in a very long time, if ever. You captured the grief one can feel from the death of an estranged parent beautifully; This has to encompass about 99% of the feelings a scenario like this engenders (I give 1% because there are some breaks so egregious and final that there’d be no mourning at all). Excellent, Excellent work. ❤️ 🙏

And we all knew those "snacks" could mellow out ANYONE. I was never a big GIFer until interacting with your comments, lol.
