What a nice set up to breaking down Nate’s walls. Greg (and Kyle) are remarkable people of hidden depths. I wish there was a hetero Greg, lol. They are both so similar to each other and even if it’s not the relationship he wanted to have, Kyle will always have a meaningful relationship with Greg if he wants it. It was also nice to see Keigan getting a chance at HEA or something in that family with Yannis. Looking forward to the next step in this dismantling.

While it was the magnificent Headstall that got me to give werewolf stories a chance at all, The start of this tale confirms I’ve been missing out on some good stories in this genre -Or maybe it’s the authors. Thank you for taking us on another wonderful ride, both through Louis and Don’s life and through your excellent storytelling skills.

To know they were in love with other while they experimented with each other sexually, yet were so deep in denial of those feelings speaks to how deeply rooted Dick’s diabolical brainwashing of both boys was. Anything physical that happens now will be different because the blind spots and great walls are crumbling, leaving awareness long denied. Why the Dicks of the world choose to use their keen intelligence and charisma to be predators and cult leaders, to harm instead of help, is a mystery. I’m still hoping his fate is revealed before the end of the story and that it is extremely, painfully appropriate.

And I love discovering the poetic meaning behind the story title; Kind of gives away what Nate genuinely feels.

This chapter made me teary, I know the next chapter will make me cry. Tho I don’t believe it 100% of the time, actions do speak louder than words most of the time, they definitely will between Greg and Nate at his birthday. I’m just wondering if Kyle will be aware of what’s going on between them and how he’ll feel about it; I think I remember him under the impression G & N were together when he first met them but he wasn’t in love with Greg then. Can’t wait for the next chapter in this totally engrossing tale.

I’m glad Lex’s background was less traumatizing than what he went through with his stepdad and way cool to know Lex is independently wealthy. “More money more problems” doesn’t seem as though it will be an issue between Ian and Lex. Previous chapters described Lex’s looks but didn’t say who he resembled, it would be a hoot if his “interview” with his bio dad fails because they look exactly alike.

I like to think hope does last forever, even if it’s the size of a mustard seed.

Everyone comes with bullshit, we just decide if we love someone enough to put up with their bullshit. This was a moving poem and to paraphrase MichaelS36, relatable. A reminder that for all the beauty love can bring, it isn’t always pretty, if that makes sense.

The tattoo reveal was good. The sex was even better but it was the aura visions that was the best. That was true lovemaking between Lex and Ian. Beautiful chapter.

While it’s good Gavin is closer to Greg now, the goodbye with Kyle was deeply emotional and heartbreaking. Basketball Boy set Greg on the path to healing after 15 years and Greg will always love Kyle for that alone, if he had no other reason (which of course, he does). In retrospect, I think the physical distance between Greg and Kyle will be beneficial to both; They both have steps they have to make without the proximity they had-I dare say Kyle would not have been happy witnessing Greg in a romantic relationship and Kyle would not have moved on in his love life with Greg being an active part of his everyday life.

Sunchokes? When I looked them up, they looked like knobby potatoes.

I have tattoos on my arms and while there was discomfort in getting them, the level of discomfort afterward wasn’t intolerable. I know everyone has different pain levels but a tatoo artist once told me that getting tats on thin or bony parts of the body is more painful than other parts of the body. What else can Lex ride indeed? Guess that will also be a reveal of the next chapter. Oh and I’m glad you had a good visit with your son.

Well. With your postscript in mind, I have to admit that while you conveyed the mechanical aspects of Greg and Keigan’s encounter from Greg’s perspective, I was blown away like Keigan-That was damn hot foreplay!!!! It was effectively doused with Greg’s panic, though; What was left behind was proof that he is truly cared for by more than Nate and Kyle. I am glad that Greg and Keigan are friends, Keigan seems like a very good friend to have. Greg knew he had more work to do to get past Dick, but he’s taken too many major leaps on his own; Maybe this is the incident that will allow him to rely more on Uncle Farid’s counseling to properly guide him on the path to recovery.

I understand Greg’s need to turn to Keigan but hope very much it doesn’t complicate things further. Whichever way it turns out, you always remember your first love. Whatever direction their relationship takes, Greg’s place is Kyle’s life is secured.

At first I thought Stefano was going to be Karen’s hookup, I’m glad it was an agent plant, instead. Why do I feel like Zampa will also have something to do with saving Corbin and Paul from Stefano when the time comes?

When I read the series initially, I skipped this because I was only interested in Marcus and Jacob together. In reading it now, I realize there would’ve been no harm in reading it in sequence. This slice of Jacob’s life in which he discovers his sexual preferences (both in gender and style) was interesting. His lack of sentiment toward Oliver was what it was outwardly but there had to have been some type of emotional attachment since there were other people Jacob could have experimented with sexually but didn’t-he chose to try things with Oliver. The fireplace scene was hysterical and it was a lucky thing both sets of parents responded to this with more humor than anger or disappointment. I remember being told once that cursing was the expression of a lazy mind; It is so obvious that given the intelligence of both men that it is a choice (and quite hilarious choices at that. Marcus is king!! 👑) It takes quite an active, fertile mind to come up with the verbal acrobatics that comprise Marcus Allen’s profanity. Some people are offended by cursing, I’ve never been one of them and this chapter has less than the others in this series. I appreciated this glimpse into young Jacob.
