  1. I had such a toxic rant about what I hoped happened to whatshisface but have chosen to not let that negativity see the light. I will only say Dick has MUCH to answer for and the thought that chlid molesters don’t do good in jail makes me happy.

    Chapter 15

Now Now.... Both types of gravy are good and have their place.
  3. 😆 Would a marble cake be too much chocolate for you? I tend to be a yellow cake person myself (even tho a chocolate cake made the right way is a-ma-zing) but marble is the best of both worlds.
  4. Oh my God. ❤️ This was a BEAUTIFUL story. It goes down a seldom (publicly) discussed path on the exploration of gender and sexuality. Big hugs to Ronan and Natalie for their unconditional love and acceptance and the biggest hug to Andi for being true to himself, in spite of the challenges he may face. I’d be A-Okay if you revisited them in the future. Thank you so much for sharing this tale.

    Chapter 15

Thanks for the tip....Foodie 👨‍🍳 😉 I will apprise you on the results when it’s made.
  6. From the desserts with their tea, to the chocolate cake, Don and Louis with their sweet tooth are people after my own heart!! LOL!! I would’ve chosen vanilla or orange icing (maybe both because I love creamsicles, tho I’m not sure how the orange and apricot from the glaze would’ve gone together ). I LOVE a glaze on a cake, a good glaze can be better than icing sometimes. This is the second story I’ve read today that made me hungry, lol!! Now that my dessert rambling is over....😉 This chapter was a wonderful reminder that there is no “I” in “team”. Yes, the bulk of the physical work falls on Louis (God bless him) but Don and Max appreciate him and want to do as much as they can, both for their own wellbeing, as well not burdening Louis. The idea of a slow introduction of Max to the people in their lives is excellent. Sometimes you never know something or someone is needed until they or it is right in front of you; Max is the perfect addition to Don and Louis’ family. I had a fleeting thought of one more child, an able bodied one, in their future, kind of evening the set, since a door Louis thought was closed has now been opened. Nice chapter, tim; they are gelling at a good, natural pace.

    Chapter 15

Thorn’s comment reminded me-The food is this story has made me hungry!! Lol!! Simple, hearty, delicious sounding fare fare that I might be trying (The angel hair pasta dish at the restaurant opening might grace my dinner table tonight) 🍝 Are you a foodie?

    Chapter 15

God Bless first responders everywhere. With all the intrigue and legitimate danger from Corbin’s life, the Galena fire reminded him it’s not the only danger around. Regarding Corbin’s danger, it’s clear every “friend” is not a friend and every “enemy” may not be an enemy. I’m hoping (and feeling) Luca may be more friend than foe and might wind up saving Corbin’s life.

    Chapter 10

Safe travels to you and very good chapter.
  10. Oh. 😶 😳 🥺 So much was said that needed to be said. They don’t call them growing pains for nothing. I love how Greg loves Nate. He loved Nate’s soul from the very beginning; He loved him when he was skinny, ignored to everyone else, Nate, before he became the physical hottie he is. It’s so interesting to me that neither Greg or Nate were fooled by Dick’s intentions yet he still prevailed. I get affected by the interactions Greg has with Keigan and Kyle but they are quite secondary in the wake of this break. And Greg’s mom was spot on in her assessment of the situation. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite stories, ever; I eagerly await the next chapter and may I say, you do an EXCELLENT job at self editing.
  11. What a putrid waste of flesh. Granted, he produced Nate but he should’ve been hit by a car or killed from a wasting disease from the inside out after he fertilized the egg. I’m taking your “pleasant aftertaste” reference about Richard to mean you will share what awful fate has befallen him; for that I cannot wait. Few literary characters have inspired in me the boiling anger Dick does. To set out such destruction for someone you only want on a transitory basis AND your own flesh and blood because they do not follow your script illuminates his lack of humanity. These poor, beautiful boys are still victim to this fucktard. 😞 l eagerly look forward to the next installment of this story, as well as your other “tidbits and goodies” after this story’s completion.

    The Nuclear Option

What I also find interesting is that Nate’s bionic hearing failed him at two very important conversations: the one Greg had with his dad and the one Greg had with Rita (I choose to believe Nate didn’t hear the exchange between Greg and Rita because he would NEVER stand for someone speaking to Greg like that.) It makes me wonder if Dick didn’t initiate a blind spot in his son too and if so what is Nate hiding behind it? Just wondering also.... Do straight people tend to have better gaydar than gay people? AND Don’t closeted guys build a rep as a playboy among women when they want to deflect from their orientation? Nate is as much of a onion as Greg, me starts to think 🤔

    The Nuclear Option

This chapter necessitates the need for a crying emoji, a nuclear blow you out of the water emoji. It’s too much, your writing quite affecting and very good. I’m beyond curious to know Nate’s reaction to all of this (as long as it doesn’t involve anything suicidal). I also dearly hope he realizes that Rita is the pits, definitely not the one. This emotional revelation needed to be revealed, this fallout, maybe not. Greg took Nate’s choice away from him and took all this on his own; Granted, it was an act of love but not as selfless as Greg thinks. My heart is devastated on both Greg and Nate’s behalf. Those will be very interesting sessions with Uncle Farid. 😔 😞

    Chapter 12

This was a good first story but NO WAY should Gary have gone to Shaun’s; Shaun should have been the one doing whatever crawling and groveling needed to make everything okay between he and Gary and he was VERY LUCKY Gary forgave him. Gary and Josh were my favorite characters in this story, I’d love to see how josh is doing one day....
  17. ReReading (for the manyeth time) the story that got me onto GayAuthors. This is one of my favorite stories ever and I very much enjoy its sequel “Wild Card” (what there is of it). Miss hearing from you, Ms. Dayne.
  18. Happy Belated Birthday. Congratulations on the present you gave yourself this day.
  19. There is a saying that stayed in my mind as I was reading your entry: “If you’re going through hell, keep going”. There is strength in being this vulnerable, in sharing your pain. I hope and feel this strength will eventually see you through to the other side of hurt, though the road may not be easy. Thank you and Bless you. I truly hope this is helping you.

    Chapter 11

Gary gets his forgiving nature from his Mother. Even understanding the peer pressure kids face, that’s not the conversation I’d have with Shaun as Gary’s Mom. I guess the educator in her won out. The boys being caught by Josh was hilariously cute!! That's because of Josh’s reaction; What a great guy he is, Gary made a good call sparing Josh from retribution for beating him up. It’ll be interesting to see if Shaun and Gary can be friends again.

    Chapter 8

It’s been a pleasure reading the progression of Corbin and Paul’s relationship, your end notes clearly indicate Stefano is on the way, (I think the Italian guy in the coffee shop before is a connection). Harris may think he’s doing the best thing for Corbin in keeping the development of Stefano being on the run from him but forewarned is forearmed; Corbin should know. Doesn’t Harris realize criminals are always a step or two ahead of law enforcement in stories?

Extra chapter!! and well worth it!! All good things must come to an end, I suppose. The town is in good hands with Rory and Milan; Milan and Rory are in the best hands with each other. ❤️

tim and my fellow readers: please excuse my renaming Max in my previous review; I don’t know where “Alex” came from and I don’t know why I’m only noticing it now but I apologize for my massive brain fart.

    Chapter 4

I’m enjoying the slow build of this story. Ian seems like a good guy and Lex trusts him, so I wonder why he can’t read his aura. Visible auras or not, Lex is letting his guard down around Ian. Ian’s backstory is a curiousity, too. *That first kiss is going to be smoking hot!! 🔥* And the first time they have sex?!?! 🌋 (They will be having sex, right?)
  25. “You have to learn how to hide those feelings from yourself, how to deny them so you stop feeling them and seeing them and thinking about them." So Dick taught Greg how create his blind spot. What a vile, disgusting, psychotic creature. His predilection is bad enough, It was loathsome to think of him having a child only so he could use him as bait and I get that what he did with Greg is what he did with all his victims-manipulate their thoughts and feelings to attain his own ends, regardless of the psychological damage left in its wake, but to view the deliberate blueprint of harm carried out and to witness his enjoyment in doing this, that this is as stimulating to him as the physical copulation he eventually strives for, is chilling. I really, really want bad things to happen to him. If he is now dead, I hope he truly suffered before. I hope his ego was bruised and stripped from him and that he was intellectually crippled. The only true justice would be that he be dehumanized at his basest level, that what he did (to innocence!!) was done to him. I do appreciate and respect the insight you provide us into this criminal mind; I guess it’s indicative of a job well done how unpalatable my reaction to Dick and his views are.
