The story was lovely, paced just right and neither too long nor too short. Good work.

Killian is a judgemental little sh*t, is what he is. His past isn't exactly a Disney plot, and considering his father threw him out one would have thought he'd know a little bit about circumstances and the viewpoints that go with them changing over time.

Adam’s letter arrived on the twenty-first day. I wasn't too sure about this story when I started reading it, but it grew on me and now... you ever make us wait 21 days for a chapter and there will be trouble!

A great story. While I'm generally not a fan of sequels, I feel this one both stands on its own quite decently and compliments the earlier novel very well. Worth the effort!

For all that I prefer shorter stories this one was just the perfect lenght, in the end! Well done, can't wait to see what you do with the next one.

'storming the castle' in the next chapters. Enough said! Don't make me say more. (I won't be surprised if people already misunderstood what I mean by that...) Well, to start off with there is the matter of which castle we're talking about... I count at least two, possibly three or four... do individuals count for castles too, or do we just watch them burn inside once all the castle-storming has reached its logical conclusion? Waiting on the edge of the chair for next week. -
Now I'm a peaceful sort and all that, but could we please lynch the editor of the gossip rag already? Something painful and slow would be good.

What Jake and his friends did to Meg is reprehensible in the worst way. The fact that I'm still rooting for Jake (and his romance with Nic) regardless says a whole lot about just how well you write! -

I think many perfectly good pieces of writing are ruined by prequels, sequels and being turned into soap operas.

A delightful story about the strange places life sometimes takes us. In many ways a good short story is about finding the right balance between what the reader needs to know to keep the story moving and leaving out unnecessary fluff, and this one nails it.

A riveting tale of growing up - eventually - and finding your truth, even if it does mean having to take the extra scenic route. As always, a reliably entertaining read. Highly recommended.

Thanks for an excellent story! At first I thought their new purpose might be to find the other children that the slavers took, but that might have turned a perfectly good story into a soap opera, so this will do nicely.
