Well, that certainly seems logical, but ... While you did surprise me by guessing something that I thought well and cleverly hidden the other time when you commented, it looks like I did manage to throw you off track this time And who says Alex wanted to Aron to take a good look at Carter? I think the next time you'll guess the whole truth when a certain conversation will take place between Carter and Alex.

He, he, I guess that it wasn't really easy to watch Carter trying to find out what the hell Alex is doing and how he hides his cheating so well. But don't believe in appearances. Alex is still Alex. And Carter is still Carter. As for Aron ... hmm, that was a little hard for him, wasn't it?

Ah, and here I have it The proof that my red herrings are still as powerful as ever. My dear godmom, you'll be surprised what Alex's real motivation was for this little scene. While I do give credit to all the scenarios presented by you - they reek of Alex's selfishness, so very credible - I had something else in mind. I hope that the next chapter will make things a little clearer as to the 'why' Simon, yeah, he's a bit dumb, but cute, and not a bad person. Now this is one of those comments where I have to go ha-ha-ha, instead of love-love. Well, I really laughed at the husband grab part, although Carter would be all for all kinds of underhanded tactics ... now he wouldn't He's too nice a guy. As for the talking to the brain about talking to the leg ... what's left to say? Ah, it all happened when I was re-reading Alice in Wonderland - for the tenth time, I think. It's just one of my absolute favorites, and I still pick it up once in a while. And I was thinking, wow, what a trip! And, as someone noticed in one of the comments quite early on (@travlbug, you were the one to notice), Carter's family name sounds like Alice (Malis), and from there, I thought, how it would be if someone was faced with something so ridiculous as with a touch of magic, in a world that's not supposed to be magic at all. And I wanted my character to be someone who would try to reason with everything, but still participate, like Alice did, so that in the end, they could grow up and realize they need to conquer their fears That, and I was also writing some body swap short fanfic for one of my favorite fandoms (there I was just swapping two guys sort of in love with each other, but also in sort of denial since they are just teenagers) , and I realized just how funny this type of situation would be ... It all kind of rolled down the rabbit hole from that point onward, he, he. And thanks so much for the compliment! Really you're making me blush. Now I realize that inspiration is not a cut in stone thing. I think I just enjoy some really ridiculous things, as I watch some really quirky Japanese anime series, and the more ridiculous something is, the more it seems to hit the spot, lol. He's the one who understands Carter, more even than the guy's own parents. And it all happened because of the labor of love Aron put into it. There will be a little more on Aron's views of the world in a later chapter. You'll know exactly what I mean when we'll reach that bridge. Aron, the poor soul, just searched for years for someone like Carter, to the point that he agreed and became a willing participant in a charade that affected his life. As for his parents ... you couldn't be more on point. Aron's mom and dad would never want him to be unhappy. Ha, ha, Simon! Yeah, that would be a riot!
