    Chapter 2

what he could get from this deal. "Selling" his brother didn't look like too much of a compromise, hence the attitude.
  2. Ch. 7 – First Cut Is The Deepest After that, things got back to normal, as normal as they usually were. But what He Tian wasn’t saying was still hanging over them, and he still knew that there was a big chance he was going to lose his lover nonetheless. And graduation day came, and, without He Tian telling him to come by, he went straight to the guy’s apartment, because if that was meant to be their last time, he needed to make it matter. Maybe he should have called ahead. Or send

    Chapter 23

And thank you for being a consistent commenter on my story and offering your insight It was a pleasure to read all your comments.
  4. Thank you for your nice comment! As for how I came up with it, I think it was while I was re-reading Alice in Wonderland for the tenth time. So I can blame Lewis Carroll for this, ha, ha. You'll see why as the story progresses. So happy you like it!
  5. Ah, ah, I'm so happy to hear this! It's my first attempt ever at writing a comedy! Glad you're enjoying it!
  6. For me, it is pleasant to see readers guessing where the story is going. It shows that they read quite carefully and catch some things that maybe are supposed to be subtle. And I was the one to put them there, so it's rewarding to see people noticing them, and putting the pieces together.
  7. I can deal with angst, as long as there's a happy ending (says I, feeling courageous for no reason at all). I agree that the characters need to earn their happy ending, yet, if you read a book like the one you're talking about and it drags you down, like you say ... Probably I'd write some fanfiction to serve as band aid, lol. And now I remember about a fandom I'm in, that is such a horrible story, that the most popular story written by fans was one that said something like "in this fanfic, everything is normal and nothing hurts". Poor, tormented fans loved it.
  8. Personally, I'm a total sucker for happy ends. I totally agree with BHopper2. If I want realism, there's plenty around. Occasionally, I'd read tragedies, and dramas, but if they're advertised as romance stories, just like other posters said, I would feel cheated.
  9. Thanks a lot for your comment! Once again, you're not off the mark Yes, the game is going to be fun, but I won't say anything
  10. He, he, Carter does walk directly into a convoluted situation. Everything will be revealed, including about Aron and Alex, at the right moments. Thank you for leaving a comment!
  11. That would be so nice! I mean, the movie idea! Carter does have a long road ahead of him, emotionally wise. Thank you for your nice comment! It really means a lot!
  12. Yeap, that's clearly correct. But, well, Carter doesn't know, since he is such a perfect scattered brain. Let's not tell him He needs to figure out things like these on his own. Thank you for commenting!
  13. He, he, Wes, thanks! I hope you will enjoy it through the end!
  14. Chapter Two – Everything Is Fuzzy “Your memory of recent events seems to be a little fuzzy,” the doctor explained to him while tapping against his desk with a slim golden pen. Carter leaned against the wooden desk, his eyes wide and trained on the man in white. The guy looked like he was in his late 50s, so he had probably seen plenty of strange things in his medical practice. “Actually, I have trouble remembering other things, too,” he whispered. The doctor leaned closer, turnin
  15. Ha, ha, I had no idea it was a trend and it has a name, even. I think I have been practicing Deep POV without knowing it! Thank you for making it clear for me. I beleive it works only when you focus the story on a single character. It must have something to do with immersion. Personally, I like it, I just didn't know it was a thing. As for LitRPG, I don't know. I tried to read some, and found them pretty tedious. I just think it's more fun to play games, rather than read them.
  16. I'm so sorry to hear that you went through such a thing. The only advice I can give is to avoid those people. I know that it's a common thing to believe that you should expose yourself to criticism, so you can get better and all that. But what you say about what happened to you makes me think that those people were not critics. They were simply toxic people. And toxic people should be avoided like the plague. They are those whose only role in life seems to be to drag other people down. I'm just speculating here, but I think that these people have never written or created something in their lives. Or, if they did, they faced so harsh criticism, or they couldn't move anyone with their writing or creation, that they became bitter, and now they only spill that bitterness over people who are too kind and let them. Yes, there is such a thing as constructive criticism. But that kind of criticism will never make you feel like you do right now. Constructive criticism is eye opening, it can clarify muddy points, and it is useful. Toxic behavior is the total opposite. I just want to say one more thing. Please, don't look at your own work with harsh eyes. Take a small break for it, and then get back to it. You will once again see the beauty of it as you saw it the first time you made it. It's your baby, and it's beautiful. Don't give up on it because of what some people might say. And here's a hug
  17. Yes, this is exactly how He Tian feels ... He would do anything for his love! As for your question, well, there is one more chapter left, so you'll find out Hugs and thanks a lot for the comment!
  18. He, he, that they do
  19. He, he, hello Tianshan fellow fan! Glad to hear from you!
  20. Ch. 6 – Family Matters He was happy. Yes, that was the word. It was weird and it caused a ticklish sensation in his chest, but that had to be it. Or he was ill with some disease without a name. Or it had a name. He Tian. The bane of his existence. His savior. Sort of. He could not deny it that the idiot had saved him. From She Li. From dropping out. From taking the wrong path. And now he was … what? His lover? His boyfriend? They went on dates. Sometimes, when He Tian considered that h
  21. That's great ... for him! Now, could that person be his assistant, the guy who wrote The Expanse series? I think I read that somewhere. So it is up to his friend to remember all 1,000 characters!
  22. Notes and research are definitely very helpful, but the thing I discovered when doing that especially for a long and complicated story is that my notes tend to start looking like another lengthy story! I am trying to use something called a mind map for that reason. It is more like a diagram so you can link different parts in different ways. There are some free apps you can try, I am yet to find the ideal one, so I won't mention one here. I am still in favor of pen and paper at this point. I suppose this is how some authors manage to keep things organized, or otherwise they must have mammoth heads! I have no idea how GRR Martin manages to keep track of everyone in A Song of Ice and Fire. I read somewhere that there are over 1000 characters!

    It Hurts

OMG, what is happening to me? I have goose bumps and my eyes are prickling ... It must be because of this amazing comment!!! I don't know what to say ... I hope I will never disappoint you! Thank you for enjoying He Tian and Momo's adventures! I've also just started a new original series here, on GA, so please check it out. I hope you will enjoy it just as much as you did what I wrote so far. Hugs, kisses, and lots of love, Laura.
  24. I don't know if romantic ... But it gives a Mad Max post-apoca feel. From there, anything can work out, like two lovers hiding from zombies and thinking about getting that old thing to work so they can run faster.
  25. Ah, thank you so much so your lovely comment! Speculations are fun, right? Some parts of this story will definitely be easy to figure out, yet, I still hope others will come as a surprise Welcome aboard! And thanks again!
