Ha, ha, I see that Alex really made some enemies, lol! Let's just keep it light-hearted, guys! I was just listening to a trolly song called Pop! Goes My Heart (I think that's the name), and I just thought it so suitable, hence the name. But I'm glad I didn't put those dark clouds out there And I thought I was preparing everyone for the end to come by mentioning it several chapters in advance. I think there is still plenty of the story, so it won't feel too short. Also, I believe it will wrap everything well. As for the sequel, ah, ah, I'm not good with those, unfortunately. Mainly because I've never written one, lol. The only time I wrote a book in two parts was only because I was writing so slowly and painstakingly that I thought the only way to motivate myself to finish was to split it in half. I tend to write stories with a beginning, a middle, and an end, which is why it's hard for me to image sequels. Thanks a lot for the comment, as always!

And, while I've never gone into such a terrible contraption, from the games I played, I know that towards the end, there are only a couple of small bumps before the finish line, at least in some models, so that the people don't start puking when they get down. Yes, you're reading both characters well. And trust me, I had to fight the desire of just having them 'say it' so hard while writing this. It would just not be in character for Carter to say everything directly, like this. I hope, when all is said and done, that all the pieces of the puzzle will fall in place as they should.
