Thanks for reading and liking the story. Corey's father has always loved him, he just didn't do a good job of showing it. As far as Corey/Clinton going to the same college... that's well over a year away... I'm sure they'll give it a go to make that work out.

Lol. Come now, you don't know the exact moment where Alex died.. could have been years down the road.. maybe they lived a nice happy life for a while. And I think getting his life in order and adopting a son is a bitter sweet ending.. although no a happy one. Sorry, it was an Anthology piece, so it had to have an end worth having or else I never would have put it down..

Aww. Yes, these four characters are nice. Don't know though. I do have some projects in line already. I'm glad you liked it and wanted more! I have a hard time letting go of some of these one shot Anthology stories.. that's where the latest two projects came from.. never posted Anthology ideas that ran wild.. lol

Aww thanks. The two goofballs do have Corey's back. They won't allow anyone to hassle him, unless they do it themselves, of course. His father, was backed into a corner and came out fighting for Corey, which is a good feeling.

Thanks for reading! Yeah, it is rare that a best friend becomes the love of your life - when you find it, it is something special. But the love of your life will become your best friend naturally too.. but loving someone as a friend is always special. It has been awhile sine I read this story, so I honestly couldn't tell you how Brett's coming out happened.. I'll have to reread it and see.

Aww thanks. Lee's character arc has been fun to write.. the hardass turned.. not so hardass. I'm glad that he stood up to the crowd. He knows that all of what is happening isn't any fault of Corey's though.. he didn't ask to be outed, to be gay, etc. So to blame him would be an incredibly asshole move, one which Momma Cora wouldn't put up with. Yeah,the boosters and townspeople/parents suck. Maybe their sons will have better sense.. or at least enough sense not to give up Football, something they probably like doing, for one person.. especially a teammate. Nice to see that if Corey's dad is backed into a corner he'll come out fighting for him. Lee pretty much ignored them, by ripping up the petition and telling them that he will run his team and choose the players how he sees fit. So that's good. Small town politics and posturing is something that I see a lot of when something big happens, it's not pretty at all...
