Sad.. and so young.

I know.. last part of June and all of July has made it difficult to be a reds fan.. and 2x worse to be married to one... I just hope Aaron doesn't have some weird ritual that involves him stopping the sex until they start winning again... lol. (He is that die hard so I wouldn't put it past him) Oh.. and at least I do like the Braves - until they beat the Reds..

I was thinking last night after I read this post, back to when I started posting on GA.. (Hurricane Krista, anyone?) Comicality, Dio, Dom, Viv, and others were going strong. For one reason or another, a lot of them have stopped writing and/or coming to GA. I don't want to say they got a life, because 1. That would mean I never got a life, because I'm here. 2. People that have been here longer than I are still waiting for their life to start. 3. That it diminishes what GA is, which for some, a very big chunk of their life/time. So for what ever reason, the rest of their life took priority over GA's part and they stopped coming here or stopped writing all together. When I started posting, there were a number of other people that I was promoted to Hosted with. Mark Arbour, ShadowGod, Nicholas James, Tiffani Chin, Luc, Gabriel Morgan, CJames, etc. To Shared Hosted with, Razor, AFriendlyFace, Formosa, and ect. And if you look around, a lot of those authors are no longer here as well. I'm not saying that I'm proud to have kept coming here or that I should get some award or anything. It's just an observation. Along with those of us that have been able to keep writing and coming to GA, there are a lot of newer authors that have made big splashes, in big ways. Cia, Nephylim, etc, etc, etc.. another abundance of new authors and new stories. I'd say most of the reading population would like the entire list of authors (and don't get mad if I didn't list you specifically, hopefully you know how much your own contribution matters..), were still here with all the growth GA has had over the years. But in my mind, it is just a natural progression of time. Not all of the newer authors will last. Some of them too will likely leave stories unfinished for what ever reason. It just happens, a bitter sweet cycle... like everything else. Asking for unfinished stories to become finished, to me, diminishes what the author has done for GA as a whole. Also it diminishes what the authors here now are doing. The best we can do now is appreciate them all while we can.

Like a real letter? Because I get little notes and post-it notes all the time.. lol. I used to write letters all the time, now I just text.. and my friends get annoyed with me when I write and write and write in the text message and they get like three or so in a row from me.. they respond with a.. "why in the hell didn't you just call me?" lol.. and I'm like.. "I don't have time damnit.." which doesn't make any sense, since I can talk faster than I can text - still. But eh.. I guess the last real letter I got was a small one from Aaron when we were dating... and I think it was just about three or so sentences.

I watched all of Season 1, thought it clever and the like.. but did it really drop off after everyone remembered who they were? I kind of liked all the sad flashbacks and the like. I may pick it up again...

Life likes to throw off our timing and realign our priorities. Some for the better, some not so. We just hope those that have left us, did so willingly, because their life pulled them to better places... Better to leave that way, I think, than feel obligated to finish stories for the sake of finishing them. I, myself, am not a lifetime writer. So I don't feel angry that these authors are gone. I wonder where they are of course, but I'm no longer going to fault them for putting themselves first and not an unfinished story. I also don't think we as readers deserve closure. Doesn't that just make us nosy...

Looks like Reds fans will be disappointed again this year.. Bleh.. they are back sliding to the low end of the NL Central.. if the other teams weren't completely atrocious, we'd be in real trouble as of late...

Saw the trailer - thought it was nice.. and is that Ellen Page? lol.. apparently Ellen Page thought so too.. seriously, could they have gotten any closer? Not saying it was intentional.. I also like story lines.. and was bummed that PS3 was the only one that it is distributed for...

You'd think penis shrinkage would be deterrent enough. But yeah, when they start popping the word, "banned," and actually follow through with it then people might take notice. I've seen some people do really well whilst on it... then fall to shit when they are caught or there are questions surrounding them... it's obvious the enhancement out weighed true talent... Big Brown in horse racing. They took him off of his.. borderline illegal stuff and he might as well have been a Mule instead of a true Triple Crown contender. After blowing out the field in the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness... he didn't even finish the Belmont.. and never recovered to race again. If they had left him on them, we would have had a triple crown winner... then hundreds more foals born with his cheapened genetics. I hope for our sake people start getting really tired of these frauds so we can start weeding them out of all sports, not just baseball.

I'm not really a fan of this, although the only things that I do really listen to these days are Country songs. The theme of the song was nice, the video was nice. But heh. I wouldn't call it true to form country music. Just because it has whiskey and 'American Boy' in the song and in the video doesn't automatically make it country music. His voice and looks were too incredibly rock/pop for my liking. When we get a singer that looks and sounds like George Strait, only then can we definitely say we have our first gay country song with a mainstream feel. Babysteps, I guess.

And he's cute too.
