Hey, I read three sentences and just closed it.. lol. I'm not going to be much help with anything as I've been known to have a short temper when it comes to people such as the author of that article. So I'll just leave it at that.. haha. Good luck with your own article, even if it doesn't do much or doesn't get a response taking the time to do it is a good thing. It's good to have a voice when you feel driven to have one. Krista

Obesity and smoking are two very different things. It only hurts the person who is over eating physically and there isn't that much a strain on the other dimensions of overall wellness to make a difference. Obesity can be reversed, but the effects of smoking cannot. Permanent organs like the heart, brain, and lungs will never heal or replace tissue with new tissue, only scar tissue which inhibits the function of the organ. So, I do think an outright smoking ban is and should be the governments decision. As it does harm innocent people easily. Both obesity and smoking are catalysts to heart disease so as far as both being harmful it's the same as they both have terrible consequences, but smoking definitely affects the environment more so than obesity. I voted for two, I will never smoke and I don't like being in the same room as smokers. I will tolerate it at a party or something as long as it's a large room and just the smell of smoke is in the air. I've never liked smoking, it does too much damage to the body and is the leading cause of preventable deaths in America alone. I think opinions on smoking is changing with all the anti-smoking/drug commercials out there and with a ban on advertising on smoking. Anyway, second-hand smoke, being around someone who smokes two packs a day means that the people around them smoke a pack a day, just from the second hand smoke they're taking in and that isn't filtered. So, I'm against smoking completely. There is nothing healthy about smoking. Krista

I agree, not having a religion doesn't mean that's automatically anti-religion. I just don't like seeing Religion being a large part of politics. Krista

Color. Even if it's losing in the votes it doesn't make it less "correct." And, if you have Firefox Spell checker, you will see that COLOUR is underlined in red (which is a color). Krista

Eh.. The VMA's as an awards show is a lost cause really.. I don't think it will ever rebound as a show really. One of the nominees had a temper tantrum when he didn't win any of his five nominations (Kanye West?) Oh well. Britney shouldn't have been hungover then expect to put on an A-Class dance performance (since she doesn't sing). Anyway, I think she was doing it to shut people up, but really, it only made people talk more. I just don't think she should have been judged so harshly by the likes of 50 Cent who has a jaded past as well. I dislike the VMA's but for some reason I do watch a bit of them every year... lol I'll make a point to boycott it from now on though. Krista
