  1. Hello, Well Homophobia, is taught really. No one is really scared or shows a certain hatred of another person, place, or thing unless someone around them or culture has told them to stay away, hate, or accept the thing in question. Not trying to justify Homophobia, just realize that some people just see and comprehend what is taught to them differently. Also, lacking the manners to keep their emotions under control doesn't really help. Personally though, I don't know why they call it a Phobia. Homophobia doesn't really work for me. Most people don't show a hatred towards the thing that triggers their phobia. They just have anxiety and fear, it triggers their fight or flight mechanisms. Anyway, don't lower yourself to his level. You don't have to tolerate your boyfriend's brother. Just try and show him the common descency that he neglected to show to you and your boyfriend. Good luck, Krista

    Eragon

Hey, Well I bought the movie when it came out. I was apprehensive in watching it though. I only bought it because I knew that the brats wouldn't read the book, but would probably enjoy the movie as it's a different story than most anything else. So, I JUST finished watching it and I must say that it was disappointing at best. Sure it was beautiful, the music was good, the acting and the portrayal of the characters were fine.. lol. This movie should have been HOURS longer. The details and the way it was planned out just sickened me. (As you can tell I'm a fan of the book).. lol. Some things though, could have been written in, no big deal. Like even the naming of the dragon, I almost turned the dvd off when Saphira popped in and just stated her name. It was SUCH an important part of the book.. it's where they bonded.. lol. Also, Urgals were supposed to be creatures, not human. The way Brom died was just a way of shortening the movie. They left out the little cat/boy and the Varden twins. The Varden twins were extremely important in the movie. The conflicts that Eragon and Murtagh had was completely left out. IMPORTANT details that would have brought the book to "life" a whole lot better. But, defending the movie, I know there are limitations. Like the lake scene, that would be hard to accomplish. Expensive using computer animation at least. This was probably an expensive movie to make and that means almost a complete rewrite of the story. Now, I knew from reading reviews there would be a good chance that I would be disappointed, but I never expected to be this disappointed. For those who haven't read the book, watch the movie, if you read the book before you do then it would be difficult to like the movie. Anyway, hopefully, if they do make Eldest, they'll put more thought into it. Going from action scene to action scene won't make fans happy. Krista

  13. Lol.. thank you! I get called so, "wasteful" when I put a towel on the ground then grab another one... lol. It's nice to know that someone else doesn't like to get their floor, the mat in front of the shower wet, or step out on a floor with a wet foot and go sliding and falling... It just makes sense to me. Krista
  14. Lol... Well it's hard to tell if anything other than joking is going on behind the scenes between them four. They're always arguing and such, but eh, if he was trying to be malicious (and it is... Simon Cowell) then yeah, everything about it would be wrong. Either way it makes for good Television?? Krista
  15. Hey, Well no one knows what you can do, we can only possibly make you aware of some options you may have. Don't attempt things that would be physically impossible or tricky. You should always think rationally, if you think irrationally then you're likely to make a mistake somewhere. We also don't know how remote a place you live in. Getting out is your number one priority though. If you live in a place where a public place is available in a short distance then I suggest going there. Any public place that's open could be a safe haven for you. Abusive people are more than likely to be abusive in private places. So just getting out and going to a gas station or a library would be a good option if it's available to you. He cannot watch you all the time, you said he does leave. I don't know how large that window is though. The Police are your best option. If you're afraid of what will happen when he's there and the police show up then call them in advance. Tell them that you're in an abusive situation, but to be on stand by. Then when you get the chance to call them and have time to get them there before his return they already know your address, your situation, and the urgency of your problem. That way they could be either on their way or already there when he returns to check on you. They have to take these things seriously. Anyway, be careful. Krista
  16. I personally cannot see Arnie as a Hamlet... lol.. I dislike all of his movies though which is probably why I can't see it. I'll probably not watch it. Krista

  23. Hello, I honestly don't think being loud about this is the way to go. You're only sixteen years old, people wouldn't take you as seriously as an adult under the same circumstances. They should hold minors at a higher priority, but in many times that's not the case. Now, what I do think you should do is have your friends, witnesses to the act and file a complaint with your State's police not a small town department. Also, the media idea is going to attract a lot of attention to yourself at the same time. It could be too big to handle if the media becomes involved. Really, the only thing it'll do is make the person that did this to you nervous. If you don't know who the cop was anyway then it'd be difficult to get anyone to listen and to take notice. The best thing from the media idea would possibly prevent something like that from happening to someone else. It's really up to you if you want to do that. Krista
