  1. Many people see pessimism as something bad. I think they only real way that it's a bad thing is to be pessimistic about everyday life. Like waking up and saying, "Like always, the day will be hell." New situations I think always bring about some sort of pressimism though and that's ok. As for positive effects people are surprised when nothing bad happens so it gives them some sort of confidence in similar situations. If things turn out terribly then people aren't all that disappointed. I think that's the only two positive outcomes from being pessimistc though. Krista
  2. Now, I form attachments easily. I would rather have people that I can love and be loved by in some way than to live a life w.out it just because I was scared of having it ripped from me later. It's part of life, forming bonds and attachments, even if they're not for the rest of your life in some way or another, you're robbing yourself really if you don't allow for that to happen. Krista

  5. Hmm, I was born in england. My parents were on vacation. I've only live in Kentucky in pretty sheltered places really. The older I get the closer I want to live to my mother.. lol. My family is pretty spread out with my sisters living in Maryland close to Washington D.C and the campus. My father's family lives in Ohio and Indiana, but a nice house close to my "home" now would be ideal. It's where I my heart is. Krista
  6. Happy Birthday!!! Have a good one, Krista
  7. Army Wives... bleh. Lifetime did a grand job advertising the show.. lol, but damn that first episode lacked everything... Maybe when the second episode comes out and character differences and plot twists start being introduced the show would be better. Anyway.. I've not lost all hope in this show as a future prospect. Krista
  8. Good songs from my two favorites. You're Still Here - Faith Hill Thought I saw you today You were standing in the sun then you turned away And I knew it couldn't be But my heart believed Oh, it seems like there's something everyday How could you be so far away When you're still here When I need you, you're not hard to find You're still here I can see you in my baby's eyes And I laugh and cry You're still here I had a dream last night That you came to me on silver wings And I flew away with you on a painted sky And I woke up wondering what was real Is it what you see and touch or what you feel 'Cause you're still here Oh, you're everywhere we've ever been You're still here I heard you in a stranger's laugh And I hung around to hear him laugh again Just once again Thought I saw you today You were standing in the sun then you turned away Silent House - Dixie Chicks These walls have eyes Rows of photographs And faces like mine Who do we become Without knowing where We started from It's true I'm missing you As I stand alone in your room Everyday that will pass you by Every name that you won't recall Everything that you made by hand Everything that you know by heart And I will try to connect All the pieces you left I will carry it on And let you forget And I'll remember the years When your mind was clear How the laughter and life Filled up this silent house One room Two single beds In the closet hangs Your favorite dress The books that you read Are in scattered piles Of paper shreds Everything that you made by hand Everything that you know by heart And I will try to connect All the pieces you left I will carry it on And let you forget And I'll remember the years When your mind was clear How the laughter and life Filled up this silent house Silent house In the garden off the living room A chill fills the air And the lilies bloom And I will try to connect All the pieces you left I will carry it on And let you forget And I'll remember the years When your mind was clear How the laughter and life Filled up this And I will try to connect All the pieces you left I will carry it on And let you forget And I'll remember the years When your mind was clear How the laughter and life Filled up this silent house Krista
  9. hmm.. I confess that I've been recently told by my preacher to, "Learn to act accordingly at church or don't bother coming at all." lol.. I wasn't misbehaving or anything, but he was talking about the destruction of Sodom and Gamorrah and went into this, "Fire and Damnation" about homosexuals, heathens and the such. So, after the service was over I walked up to him and said, "Don't you think it's ironic that two male angels were the ones sent to Sodom and Gamorrah to warn of the destruction?" and that's when he said, "I know what you're getting at and I don't want to discuss it further. Learn to act accordingly at church or don't bother coming at all." I personally thought it was an honest statement. Krista
  10. lol.. nah.. go right ahead. Also, shame on all of you for not taking care of your skin.. exfoliation is important... tsk tsk tsk. Krista
  11. Playing with your kids and understanding them is different than the loss of maturity. That's actually a lovely atribute that makes me want to nominate you for 'Father of the Year.'
  12. I confess that I'm an extremely flirtacious person. I don't like thinking that I'm flirtacious, but when my friend Jason accussed me of flirting with him.. he's gay.. lol.. then I know I have a problem. So yes, I'll confess that I'm not the type that is "bring home to momma." Krista
  13. Well since I've pretty much raised my little brothers and sisters there were times when I wanted to bend them over my knee once or twice.. lol, but I haven't because it only makes me feel bad after I do it. I use the Time Out method. I make them stand in the corner until they appologise for what they done. It's really something you have to do over time as they get older. You can't really spank a toddler because they don't understand it most of the time, but put them in timeout for five minutes reminding them what they done wrong is the way I go about it. When they get older I keep them in the corner longer until they stop crying for being put in the corner and until they apologise to me for what they did wrong... I don't know about spanking though. I've never done it and for the most part they're well behaved. Krista
  14. Hmm, being young at heart is a good way to live a life at times. It's a really great way to relieve stress, to approach things in a way that's different and less serious than normal is ok. I do think people should act their age most of the time though... lol. I hate seeing kids acting too old or adults trying to be their children's best friend by acting and dressing like them. Krista
  15. Hmm... I was watching "Sweet Home Alabama" on television the other day. The only words that were censored, "Sh*t" and "Dick"... all the other four and five letter words in that movie were kept the same.. lol Krista
  16. Happy Birthday!!! Have a good one, Krista

  18. Honestly, some things do need to be censored. Some children think differently than others and take things more seriously. How do you think people act and say what they do? Something has shown them that it's ok to do so. I do think people have over stepped the censorship line though. Some of Pink's songs about the president couldn't even be aired on the radio as it was offensive. Anyway, when media isn't held down by rules and boundaries aren't set then things can get too "raunchy" for people that shouldn't be viewing the content, but I think censorship should start with the Parents and not with the media as everyone has their own ideas about what should and shouldn't be allowed to be viewed by the public at large. Krista
  19. Lol... I don't know. I just know that people have made fun of me over the faces I make while applying make-up. So I guess I could be making some interesting faces. I don't think they are that bad though. You're also right... it's difficult not to make a face when you're putting on Mascara or foundation. Krista
  20. Hmm... I've been known to make some weird faces while putting on my make-up.. lol. I've been trying to stop myself though. Krista
  21. Well you seemed to sneak into the "post-whore" thousand posts made Mile-stone club. But, Congratulations!!! Krista

Will and Grace Others: Real World Survivor Future Prospects: Army Wives Starter Wife I don't normally keep up with television shows though. 25. I confess that I finally ate something chocolate since I was six years old... lol. It will probably be the last time ever. I just don't have a taste for anything chocolate. BTW I ate a Oreo cookie.. lol. Krista
