  1. Happy New Year!!! Have fun! - Keep it legal. Krista
  2. I wouldn't want to write another's story and I wouldn't want someone else writing mine. I don't think it's a big deal, as long as the proper permission and such is obtained, but personally I wouldn't do it. Krista
  3. I've decided to... Finish Roommates in two chapters instead of five. So, the final count will be 12 chapters instead of 15. I realized that I had nothing planned for the chapters between 10-15. That they were just numbers to fill and that doesn't really make for good reading.. lol.. So, hopefully, the last two chapters of Roommates are suitable. There won't be too many surprises.. Sorry to those expecting fifteen chapters... Chapter 10 is wrote and Chapter 11 is about to be complete. I may even write Chapter 12 while I have nothing to do today.. Then I can get right into, "Are You Christian." Krista
  4. Wow.. it must be the Holidays swaying the votes as it's not a complete blow-out leading to your mounting/torture.. No Goat - No stories. Krista
  5. Hey. My goodness Menzo... I read this story twice before I decided to comment on it.. lol.. I read it and then immediately read it again because I liked it and really the first time I couldn't think of a way to comment. Now after the second time all I can say about your story is that I feel so sorry for the Narrator. He is haunted by a love that he never understood enough to act on. Now that he is confident in himself, I'm assuming that the owner of those haunting turquoise eyes is no longer there. The narrator needs a resolution that isn't going to happen, and that is just a terribly depressing tragedy, especially when that resolution would mean finally returning the love he feels, for the person he loves. I also enjoyed the references to colors throughout the story. Anyway, awesome story. Krista
  6. I like the character Harriet. She is what I would imagine the typical uninformed mother would be of a homosexual child. The idea that she is warming up to the realization her son Matt is gay makes her loving. She did come across as self-centered and selfish, but in such a basic way that I can't hold it against her. If she didn't ever realize that her son would never marry a girl I would've had a problem with her, but in the end she did see that Love is beautiful and her Son and his boyfriend was the couple to rekindle that feeling for her. The last person she thought about when it came to love and relationships. Anyway, this was a great Christmas story and I enjoyed it. Good job. Krista
  7. I Know You Won't - Carrie Underwood I know you don't mean to be mean to me 'Cause when you want to you can make me feel like belong We belong Lately you make me feel all I am is a back-up plan I say I'm done and then you smile at me and I forget Everything I said I buy into those eyes And into your lies You say you'll call, but I know you You say you're coming home, but I know you You say you'll call, but I know you won't You say you'll call, but I know you won't I wish you were where you're supposed to be Close to me But here I am just starring at this candle burning out And still no sound Of footsteps on my stairs Or your voice anywhere You say you'll call, but I know you You say you're coming home, but I know you You say you'll call, but I know you won't You say you'll call, but I know you won't You say you'll call, but I know you You say you're coming home, but I know you You say you'll call, but I know you won't You say you'll call, but I know you won't

  9. Thank you Steve, I agree. I've had this discussion with my friends in a club when a rumor was started that someone we all knew had been dating someone with Aids. I don't know how the rumor got started, but I know I was the only one that said I wouldn't be too afraid or against the idea to not have a loving and healthy relationship with someone who was HIV positive. Anyway, I wouldn't want to know anyone's medical history, then hold it against them after I did know it. It is a terrible thing to have, but what's worse is seeing the lack of support. As it is one thing to have a preference and an opinion and another to act out negatively. Krista
  10. Hey LC, I'm glad I read this story as well. You portrayed a story with so many tragedies. Evan and Leo's abusive father. A family broken apart by a death. A young man trying to cope with the consequences that he blamed himself for. Suicide is one of the most sad things for a person to go through and you wrote what happens after the fact with the ones left behind well. Anyway, good job. I'm looking forward to more writings from you in the future. Krista
  11. Lol.. yeah, I realized it was autobiographical. Krista
  12. Oh goodness... Atonement is the very movie I want to watch and you just made me want to watch it a lot more... I don't get to go to Theaters though so I'll probably have to wait until it is released on DVD to see it.. Anyway, Charlie Wilson's War is another movie I want to see. Krista
  13. You all have done a great job on the anthologies, even getting them out earlier for the reader's enjoyments and to put an end the the Author's anxiety and such. So thanks for all the hard work everyone puts into this program to make it function and be prepared nicely. Also, the Authors who participate make the program's success happen as well, so thanks to those who participated. Keep up the good work. Good Job! Krista

    Happy Endings

Hmm, well, I think, when you see sad endings to most stories it's a more final way for a story to end. I know I've ended a few stories on a sad, final, way where the characters meet an unfair end of some sort. Anyway, you've opened my thoughts to putting more depth into a story's end. Krista
  15. No worries, there will be a few more post-whores achieving the requirements to become Bi-Mi's. Krista
  16. I thought this was a well wrote story Graeme, I believe everyone comes to these major steps that they're too scared to take. It's nice that in the end though, the chance he didn't take led to a gratifying life with loving aspects, like a family, a talent, and friends. Thanks for sharing this Graeme. Krista
  17. Oh my goodness.. this is a great read Ieshwar! I'm glad I chose this as my first anthology to read, I liked the ending the most as it really does cause mixed feelings. As much as everyone would want Keith to be alive, they also kind of hope circumstances beyond Keith's control is the reason he never showed after the war. Even if that's the most tragic outcome for the "family." Anyway, you wrote a great story. Good Job! Thanks for sharing it. Krista
  18. Happy Birthday!!! Krista
