CRASH!!!!! What a way to wake up. I bolted out of bed, heart racing as if I'd sprinted 10 feet thinking my mother-in-law fell. She uses a walker and is a huge fall risk. What did I find? Her sitting on the side of her bed and in between her bed and dresser was a mess. Her stupid cat knocked over a silver mirrored tray with all sorts of miscellaneous crap on it. And everyone wonders why I'm not a cat person. Have a good day everyone and watch out for those damn felines.

But...but...today is National French Fry Day!

This sounds like an amazing trip. Not gonna lie ... I'm hella jellie. Have fun and in addition to avoiding the creepy crawlies don't challenge a kangaroo to a boxing match. Guaranteed you'll lose.

I had a little trouble getting the chocolate to coat the silicone mini-muffin cups. I think next time I'll add a splash of milk or cream just to thin it out a tad. I ended up with 24 pieces that were a little bigger than the individually wrapped peanut butter cups that should only be bought in bulk lol. Mmmm peanut butter 🤤

We're still working our way through the batch I made. No complaints from the peanut gallery so I don't think they mind the slight tang. Have a good day!

Hmmm. I guess I stumbled across this site looking for something different to read. Stayed because in the process I discovered a bunch of people who speak the same dialect of crazy as me. That's impressive.

Probably a good thing lol.

They are a band of misfits with a few not quite as insane as the others who follow me. Once I start posting my next story (which is all done and just needs editing) they will start up with their shenanigans. Feel free to join in. @weinerdog is supposed to hand out the welcome packets which I believe has the full disclaimer. Just beware .. he can be a little nippy. Bring some cheese and you'll be okay. 😂

We need to post a sign 'ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK " In blinking neon letters

Welcome! This group isn't so much trouble makers as they are mischief makers. (Some more than others. Lol) As long as you watch out for short-legged canines you'll be fine. They seem to always be creating mischief, but we love them anyways.

Sorry hon. I guess you and I can be pissed off together. I have decided that I need to start looking for a different job, preferably closer to home and sans a coworker who is the poster child for "those who are determined to to be the straw that broke the camel's back and be the reason I do something that will result in a negative outcome" Plus I barely slept last night and am beyond cranky. I hope that dentist gets his shit together soon. Xo

Great chapter, Wayne. Oh, Taggert....Quick Draw McGraw. Poor guy. He's carrying lot of insecurities. Thankfully Ash has the patience to handle them. They're heading in the right direction.

I traded the alligators for bears. I'm not missing Florida's heat and humidity right now. In MA we had four days of Satan's realm, unlike four months of it in the south. We have a bunny who likes to hang out in the front yard. My son's cat stares at through the window. I can see the murderous look in her eyes. Lol. I don't mind bats. They eat mosquitos and those nasty things think I'm the local buffet. Its rainy today but cool, so that's a relief. Have a great day everyone!

I adore how you validate "he's a good fella" with "really" . 🤣 You almost had me convinced. 😘

We should really do something about that.

Why, yes, I do. My mother-in-law has not annoyed me so I have not touched the adult beverages. Check back later. Things may change.

Pot and poppies...sounds like a good name for a dispensary...or a kitchen store. LOL

I lived 350 miles away for 10 years and 1500 miles away for 17. That's how.

Sure, throw me under the bus.

Yep. I still haven't traded in my Florida license for a Massachusetts one yet. The only reason for different licenses is that it's income for the state. I forget how much Florida charges, but Massachusetts wants $115.00 just for a piece of plastic that says I supposedly am authorized to drive. I don't think matters which side of the road your country chooses to drive on. As long as I make it from point A to point B in one piece, I'm good.

Ranching is all Taggert knows. He probably figured that no matter where he went he'd run into the same attitude. At least Oklahoma was familiar, and besides, he wouldn't have to transfer his driver's license. That's such a pain.

As I mentioned before, Yoder is a common Amish/Mennonite name. My money is on Mennonite as they are a little less restrictive on modern amenities. In Florida, there is an awesome local small grocery chain called Detwiler's whose original founder was of Mennonite descent. I don't know if the current generation of the family is still affiliated, but they are closed on Sundays. Oklahoma has a well-established Mennonite community. That being said, its still a religious cult highly against homosexuality. My money is on Taggert's family found out he's gay and shunned him.

You're not catching me off guard this time, Mr. "I-don't-feel-good-and-I'm-bored" . Ha! Definitely dropped a large chunk of "hmm, so that's where Taggert's from" in this chapter. Still only one piece of the puzzle though. Looking forward to seeing what else you've cooked up. (Haha, get it? Cooked up? Cuz it's Terry's birthday and the guys cooked for him?) Don't mind me. The mother-in-law has frazzled my last nerve this week. I think I should rewatch Throw Momma From the Train. 🤔
