Looks like it's a quiet Sunday. Hope everyone is well. It's been raining all day. Of course we had to go out and run a few errands. Oh well.....it's only water. Have a good evening everyone!

That face! I wouldn't be able to kick him my car either! (Great excuse for being late to work!)

I've decided to spruce up the front of the community center and office at my work. I've ordered some flower boxes, need to get some nice planters and I've also ordered edging so we can create flower beds along the walkway leading to the pool. Next week will be a field trip to get flowers and top soil. πΊπ»

So far it's not in any danger of exploding. Lol! I've been trying to delete the stuff I don't need right away and that's been helping. Have a good weekend.

That's good news that you're feeling better. I think even the most optimistic people are getting tired of this pandemic. Hang in there. The light at the end of the tunnel is at least visible now.

This cracked me up today.

Mental heath support is a must. A steady supply of happy pills probably a bonus. My kids weren't too bad when they were young. Now that they're old enough to fend for themselves? I'm surprised my eyes haven't gotten stuck in the rolled back position!

If only this parenting gig came with down time pay. And overtime. And hazard pay.π

Maple, cherry, walnut, hickory, oak...
kbois commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Maple, cherry, walnut, hickory, oak...
Seamus has a wee bit of masochistic tendencies. He has no qualms asking for what he wants either! βΊ -
I'm sure the bread is fine and your home smells awesome. Happy for you both on getting your shots and I'm sorry tim feels crappy. Hopefully tomorrow is better. I'm waiting for my son to finish his mandatory 15 minute wait after getting his shot. Shots are free but I just dropped $90 in the store. At least it's stuff we'll use. Have a good evening everyone!

The best part of having to start my work days so early are the sunrises. 20210408_065337.heic

You lit a fire under me molly. It took almost 45 minutes but I wheedled my emails down to just those that came in since Monday. I have so much crud that I have to keep. Folders have become my best friend..lol.

This was my exact text thread with my 18 yr old today: Me: please call Publix. They left me a message regarding your vaccine appt tomorrow. (Then gave then #) Him: What was the message about Me: π―π€π (thinking to myself...did the message somehow translate to another language?) ........................... Your vaccine appointment Him: what's the number? Me: (head is now banging against desk) look at my first message Him: Ok Me: let me know what it's about. Him (ten minutes later) it's all set Me: good, I'll leave at three then. Him: today? Me: TOMORROW!!! An hour later my phone rings. It's the pharmacy at Publix about his appointment. He never called them. Thankfully they just needed to verify some information. But this was the exact moment that all the air left my lungs in a 'whoosh' and I threw in the towel and conceded utter defeat. When I got home he just looked at me and laughed. I looked back at him and lovingly muttered 'idiot' while rolling my eyes. Happy Birthday Ryan!!

Nice way to move things along a bit. Unravelling Ethan is going to take some time but I'm pretty sure Jonathan seems up to the task. I have a feeling there's so much more to his history.

Can you sort my emails for me? Lol. Things are ok here. Been fielding texts from friends and family wanting to know if we're near the evacuation area of the toxic waste water spill. The answer is no. My brother is much closer but still a mile or two east of the danger zone. I have the feeling we're in for a horrible summer. The toxic water is being dumped into Tampa Bay. It's highly acidic and that will create a perfect environment for a red tide algae bloom. We went through a horrible bloom about 3 years ago. It smelled like dead rotting fish up to 10 miles inland. Nasty and nauseating. The whole thing is a massive fiasco. The county got screwed over by the company that abandoned the property. Other than potentially glowing in the dark I've been busy at work. Regional manager is back in town. Oh joy. Hope everyone has a good rest of the week.

Ohhhh....poor Matt is still getting the short end of the stick. Looks like Team Seamus is ahead by a nose. Let's cut him just a wee bit of slack. 21. 8 year gap between him and Seamus. Full time student. Part time job. One big chunker thunder thigh baby about to become fully mobile. Matt has to rethink everything about his future. It's a lot and under the circumstances he's doing a pretty good job. Yes, he needs to work on relationship issues. He knows it. He also is absolutely right in thinking that he has to learn to live without feeling like he has to rely on Seamus. Learning to rely on himself is a big step for him. Great chapter Mrs. G. π

That's awesome news!!! Florida opened up for 18+ today so my younger son has an appointment on Thursday. Now I just have to ride my older son to get his. He's reluctant and he's about to find out just how persistent and insistent his mother can get.

Sending love, hugs and hope for better days ahead.

This kid has a cast iron stomach. He still loves chocolate. He doesn't understand why I still have a chocolate bar that I got for Valentines day. I'll probably give it to him one of these days. Hell...I still have Peeps from last Easter. (They never got hard enough)
-
There is no such thing as a shameful amount of chocolate. There is however a limit of how much can physically be ingested as evidenced by my son when he was three and my sister in law left large bowl of it in an unsupervised location. Let's just say the kid created his own chocolate fountain.

It's so good to have JP and Stef back! Stef is the Master of Snark, perfect role model for Will. I'm so looking forward to more of this story.

Well, I'm happy to say that the wedding was beautiful. It was at a horse farm and everything was outside. It was warm during the ceremony and we were in the shade of the barn. It was the first wedding that I've been to that the word 'god' was not mentioned once. It was refreshing. Mom saw her sister for the first time in over a year. Granted she had no idea who she was at first. I'm glad we went. I didn't have to interact with my brother or sil very much. I did have some guy come over and stand there and stare at me. I finally asked him who he was. He said 'Larry' .... Me: *blank stare* Ten seconds later it hit me. It was my sister in laws brother. I hadn't seen him since our nephews christening. I was godmother he was godfather. That was 24 years ago and he's completely bald now π³. The wedding gave me hope that things will start getting better. I feel lucky that I live in a climate where interacting with people outdoors is possible pretty much year round. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend.
