tim's Bits and Pieces - 71. Dust

Dust

Impatient prisoners of time

We long for the future

And run from the past

Forgetting our infinite ends

Does endless sleep bring comfort,

or will we be only the dust of a generation?

Your poem makes me feel the need to search, to know what Whitman called The Unknown Region. Its final question seems unknowable.

Grazie for this beautiful poem...truly an entree for the mind to munch on with good friends and a glass of vino. My two cents...?!?

Time is man's invention... impatience with a side of blinders.

But

Once dust is dust, and spirit's free... joker's surely wild!
