Yeah. Albert's suicidal so he'll keep things to himself and won't communicate to Damien that. He'll probably say, "I'm fine yeah." Then later he's like, "I wonder if hanging myself here is optimal. Maybe 5 inches to the left? Nah. That'll just give stiff neck. Maybe 2 inches to the right?" And yes, the kimchi will be revealed next chapter. Hahaha.

Yeah. Albert's trying to keep it together as with all depressed people are going through day by day. I'm sensing Damien's starting to slowly grasp the extent of Albert's situation. Albert will fly back to London next week and it's the end of this novel. Thanks for reading this guys. 😂

There's an interesting chapter near the final chapters that tackles that very notion. Would I want to see two hot men kiss in front of me or not? Personally speaking, yes. Let the voyeur in me celebrate and get an eye-boner once in a while. The question is, will the rest of the world do the same?

CHAPTER 10: I FOUND Three days in, the air inside the room was brewing with sterile chemicals, sickness, and promises, adding to the artificial presence that surrounded us. This kind of writing is actually a first for me. I experimented with a very straightforward voice, as reflective of Damien, the character's POV. My usual writing is very descriptive (which I've been learning or still learning) to reel in. This was an exercise for me to see how I'd fare well with less flowery words and more straight-in-the-gut and in-your-face kind of narrative and dialogue. I'm just happy it worked in this format. 😁 When I was writing her, I knew she had to be very upfront, and she'd have to be grounded but unique in the sense that she's a therapist dealing with a patient on the crux of a hill with a forking path that leads to death or living. That kind of approach leads to some very interesting conversations. Yeah, I realised, you can't really put an antagonist in a novel that deals with me vs me type of setting. So I knew the moment when I wrote her in chapter 2 that later on she'd have a major part to play in the plot. And that's how she turned out. A real supporting character. Haha.

Next week is also intense but intensely sexual. I'm kidding. It's a mixed bag but lighter than this one.

CHAPTER 8: LITTLE ACHE It’s been two days since Albert was confined to the Adventist Hospital in Puerto Princesa. While walking to the main deck, he passed out and was unconscious. With nothing but this option left hidden in my sleeve, I did the one thing I’d promised myself I’d never do: use my family’s connections. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time. I cried when listening to the audiobook. Despite the title (and as much as I love the dogs), the crying has nothing to do with a dog.

I'm currently writing a story involving a doctor, preferably general surgeries since the protagonist is a general surgeon. I'm very keen when doing research and I would like to get some information or references about such procedures. Any help would be gladly appreciated.
