  1. CHAPTER 13: MESS U MADE I didn’t follow him back to the kubo that afternoon. I resolved to sit underneath a coconut tree bent diagonally, with its trunk stemming across the beach and out into the ocean. As I sat there, listening to the splashes of the water below the ridge where I had first saved him, there was a kite surfing spot to my left where the guests had crowded. It was a group of Americans having a small party. Loud techno music blasted in every direction. The bacchanal was lively

Yeah. Albert's suicidal so he'll keep things to himself and won't communicate to Damien that. He'll probably say, "I'm fine yeah." Then later he's like, "I wonder if hanging myself here is optimal. Maybe 5 inches to the left? Nah. That'll just give stiff neck. Maybe 2 inches to the right?" And yes, the kimchi will be revealed next chapter. Hahaha.

Yeah. Albert's trying to keep it together as with all depressed people are going through day by day. I'm sensing Damien's starting to slowly grasp the extent of Albert's situation. Albert will fly back to London next week and it's the end of this novel. Thanks for reading this guys. 😂

They'll get married...are they getting married? Will they ever get married? *hides in the shadows*
  5. CHAPTER 12: FLAGPOLE SITTA The next day, the sun glared at the peak of noon when we arrived at Pitongpulo Island. There was a new set of guests staying in the huts and villas. Another tour has begun. New faces, new crowds, and new personalities to deal with. I told myself that the previous batch was the last group I’d interact with. I'll leave this one to Kulas and the team while I focus on helping Albert and the business. I was supposed to fly into New York to scope out some investors and

Well, erm, well, erm.... The grandfather and zeh sister will show up in the second and third book. As for the 3rd book, that's where zeh grandfather pops up because... There's an interesting chapter near the final chapters that tackles that very notion. Would I want to see two hot men kiss in front of me or not? Personally speaking, yes. Let the voyeur in me celebrate and get an eye-boner once in a while. The question is, will the rest of the world do the same?
  7. mature adult adult gay boat travel vacation casual masturbate light-hearted serious disability medical philosophy psychology modern love suicide depression holiday mental health I'm an editor myself, and they could all be clustered into several major topics. Mental health could have suicide, depression, and disability. Holiday, vacation, and boat travel could be grouped together. I didn't list things that are farfetched or things like: 90's Horror / Comedy / Drama / Suspense / Thriller / Intergalactic Space Travel / Spy vs Spy That would truly send someone into the wtf zone. I only listed tags that are encompassing to the general overall vibe of the book. Plus they're story tags, for people to query and search them on the site. EDIT: Also, thanks for reading the first two chapters. I would love to get an opinion or two.

Same here. I'd kill for a halo-halo. I'm excited about the next few chapters. The best bit is coming soon. I can't wait.

Erm... Well... K tnx bye. 😂 Yep. I specifically made it a feel-good moment since we're already in the half of the novel. And erm, yeah... There will be a couple of surprises before we reach the end. Starting next chapter. Haha. Don't hate me.
  10. CHAPTER 11: FLY BY MIDNIGHT Hours later, in the middle of the afternoon, I woke up feeling refreshed, having slept on Albert’s bed. A 6’4 and a 5’7 man, both fitting into a small hospital bed, were miraculous. I rubbed the crusts on my eyes and said, "Hey." "Hello there," said Albert with his hand squeezed inside a clear plastic jar. He was greedily munching on some kind of sweet while his eyes were glued to watching a teleserye, a Filipino television soap opera. It was in the afterno
  11. I'm honestly so tired of reading boy fiction. Especially teens that have a speaking pattern of grown adults...without so much a context why they're speaking like my accountant. Sorry, but no.

The next episode is fun. Like I had so much fun writing it, especially the end part. And then I get to break your hearts again, not once, but twice. I'm a sadist. HAHAHA! *Evillaugh*

    I Found

It's something that will open up in the second book--which I've yet to start and write. Haha.
  14. CHAPTER 10: I FOUND Three days in, the air inside the room was brewing with sterile chemicals, sickness, and promises, adding to the artificial presence that surrounded us. As I sat there by Albert’s bedside, holding his hand, any news from the medical practitioners was a scarcity I’d relish if it were given. I stared at the slow rise and fall of his chest for days. Nothing could be said to pull me from his side. I knew it was my fault that this person lay unconscious. I exhaled my fr

    Little Ache

This kind of writing is actually a first for me. I experimented with a very straightforward voice, as reflective of Damien, the character's POV. My usual writing is very descriptive (which I've been learning or still learning) to reel in. This was an exercise for me to see how I'd fare well with less flowery words and more straight-in-the-gut and in-your-face kind of narrative and dialogue. I'm just happy it worked in this format. 😁 When I was writing her, I knew she had to be very upfront, and she'd have to be grounded but unique in the sense that she's a therapist dealing with a patient on the crux of a hill with a forking path that leads to death or living. That kind of approach leads to some very interesting conversations. Yeah, I realised, you can't really put an antagonist in a novel that deals with me vs me type of setting. So I knew the moment when I wrote her in chapter 2 that later on she'd have a major part to play in the plot. And that's how she turned out. A real supporting character. Haha.

    Little Ache

Next week is also intense but intensely sexual. I'm kidding. It's a mixed bag but lighter than this one.
  17. CHAPTER 8: LITTLE ACHE It’s been two days since Albert was confined to the Adventist Hospital in Puerto Princesa. While walking to the main deck, he passed out and was unconscious. With nothing but this option left hidden in my sleeve, I did the one thing I’d promised myself I’d never do: use my family’s connections. I called the hospital where my grandfather had donated a considerable amount of money and demanded they send a chopper down to pick us up. They were more than happy to assist
  18. The Color Purple. For some reason, I bawled when I read this at university. The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns. That scene at the end. I was wiping my tears when I was ordering my expresso nearly a decade ago. Note to self: never read books while lining up in a queue. Khaled Hosseini is just a masterful writer. A man called Ove. Just read it. A Song of Achilles. An LGBT novel. Truly worth the read. I never imagined I'd cry about Achilles and Patroclus, shipping them together like an idiot. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time. I cried when listening to the audiobook. Despite the title (and as much as I love the dogs), the crying has nothing to do with a dog.
  19. I'm currently writing a story involving a doctor, preferably general surgeries since the protagonist is a general surgeon. I'm very keen when doing research and I would like to get some information or references about such procedures. Any help would be gladly appreciated.
  20. You're somehow inspiring me to write another story like this--which I've already started. Haha. Thanks heaps for this! Really, thank you. 😁

Thanks man. I really appreciate the feedback. Stay tuned for the next episode. More sadness to come. 😂

LOL. Sorry, it wasn't my intention to make you cry. And I write like that cause that's Damien's voice. He's saying those things but I'm pretty sure that's his voice I'm hearing. Haha. I hear imaginary people, that's why. But joking aside, thanks for the input.
  23. CHAPTER 8: INDIGO So there I was, frantically looking for Albert in the middle of the night, searching wherever my feet dragged me. Ending up on the main deck and then the saloon; he was nowhere to be found. I stripped the upper decks looking for him, as well as the gym. I even scoured the bar in the plunge pool and searched the sun deck, but he wasn’t there. I checked the ensuite rooms to ask the guest if he’d seen him. My reputation at the time was questionable. But I needed to put my pr
  24. No offence taken. 😆 Thank you if you think the writing's getting better. But this is a completed series. So I had ample time to edit my own work and give you a finished product. And yes, the ridiculousness of the Plastic Love/In Da Club remix was reflected with how ridiculous the dinner was. Haha. The song's a banger though.
  25. Oh stefan, don't insult me now. Of course it gets better. I'll stop writing if it doesn't get any better. Hahahaha. Geezus Christ, what a tough crowd. But I swear, the story gets better. 🤭
