I'm just trying to be open minded.

It looks like little mugget, baby Carson, is fit and healthy and doing well 👍. It's a shame that MB went through her own mini hell giving birth, hopefully she will make a full and speedy recovery. Aiden wasn't so keen on his little brother at first but now he appears to be okay with him, hmm let's give it some proper time it's not unusual for a toddler to dislike a baby sibling initially and it can sometimes take a while for them to genuinely develop genuine feelings for the new arrival. Most seem to be wanting to give Lars a hard time and are judging him, give the guy a break, we don't know his back story or what he went through as a child or the shit that his parents may have filled him with, as my father used to say 'don't judge someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes, after all you haven't lived their life', let's wait until we know more about him and he shows his true colours before we judge.

Four Men and a Lady Oven
Mancunian commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Four Men and a Lady Oven
I think a few of us are experiencing that, but I'm not going to stop reading lol. Since I'm reading this a few chapters or more each day I'm not going to hang about too long commenting, great chapter and now the baby's on the way. Gotta go I need to get to the next chapter and make sure the baby's okay. -
Okay you got me with the previous chapter, I guess I should have spotted the clue in the title, but I still don't feel dumb. And then I get fooled by the title of this chapter, there's me thinking of a nice exotic island and the only thing exotic about it is some of the food they have no doubt cooked. I may never trust your chapter titles again lol. I liked the brother bonding in this chapter, hopefully they all got something good out the talk too. I've got my fingers crossed for Loren for when he finds his brother, please I hope you haven't been cruel about that, loren deserves good things.

Good dreams and bad nightmares
Mancunian commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Good dreams and bad nightmares
I was thoroughly enjoying this chapter till I got to the last part then... WTF!! If it wasn't for the fact that I know Jay will be okay and bothe he and Loren will get through this I'd hate you. But lucky for you I don't hate you, I still love you. Great writing and a great chapter. -
You know the sexual tension between Jay and Loren is going to be high when they are parted, so you know a nude pic swap is going to push it through the roof. With Jays jealousy of the photographer we were sure of an explosive end to the chapter, I'm sure Loren enjoyed his explosions, lol.

My preference is either a baguette or a tiger bloomer, the crust is nice crunchy and flakey on a tiger bloomer. I have a good variety of bread to choose from in my local supermarket all freshly baked in store.

It's just freshly baked bread that's soft as a pillow on the inside with a slightly crunchy golden coloured exterior, it's always best eaten the day it's baked. I'm sure you would enjoy it.

I love a good home made pea and ham soup with fresh crusty buttered bread. Home made soups are usually the tastiest.

The visit seems to have gone well and Donna definitely paid a lot of attention to Loren, but was it because of Golden Child Syndrome or was for a different reason? It's possible that Jay told his mum more about Loren's background than Loren would have liked and she over played the 'not giving him special treatment' that Jay asked her to do. If it is Golden Child Syndrome then it is on the part of Jay's mum only as the lack of commentary about his dad tells me that he is more chilled about his children and doesn't play favourites. Just my thoughts.

Played like a blitz on third down
Mancunian commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Played like a blitz on third down
I don't know what Loren's problem was, after all Aiden was was only trying to say 'I luv my Unca Lowen', in the only way a two year old knows, you know when they say it with pee, It's great the way Loren is moving forward and embracing his relationship with Jay, agreeing to meet the parents is a big move forward. As for the Lars situation there appears to be three different stand points being taken, against Lars, for Lars and sitting on the fence. I'll take the third option, is he out for what he can get from Loren? I don't know and we don't know Lars well enough to accuse him of anything. What's held him back from contacting Lore until now? well it could be any one or more of a whole host of reasons, some parents do still control their children throughout their adult life by many ways and means and if he was afraid of being abandoned too his parents may have played it, but again I don't know. So I'll sit on the fence for now and judge his motives when I know more. -
Enjoying the here and now
Mancunian commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Enjoying the here and now
A great chapter with no drama's, just fun and love. And then there was the guest star of the chapter who brought the fun and laughter, brilliant. You don't need to ask who the guest star was, it's Aido Potato of course. -
It looks like @Mrsgnomie is trying to get a peek into the lives of a few of us, is she trying to carry out @Carlos Hazday's threat and embarrass us, lol, anyway here goes. 1. How do you like your eggs? Scrambled? Over-medium? Poached in Shakshuka (it's a breakfast casserole very similar to Mrsgnomies's). 2. What is your favorite story on Gay Authors, and why? There are so many to choose from as there are so many fantastic authors on GA, but if I have to choose it's Edward Langford House by cognac69, to open somewhere like Edward Langford House was a dream of his which he never realised, but that dream still lives on (yes I am biased on this one). 3. What brought you to GA? I was introduced by my father before he passed away, cognac69. 4. If your life was a book, what would be the title? Life Is A Roller Coaster, like a lot of people my life has had many ups and downs, not unlike a roller coaster, but I wouldn't swap it and I always come back for more. 5. What is your favorite soup? Any that I make fresh myself, but I do make broccoli and stilton the most, with fresh crusty bread it's nice and warming on a cold winter's day, it brings back happy memories.

So, they've talked, sort of. They've had make up sex. But they still haven't dealt with anything properly, now Jay is committing to something without letting Loren know. I'll say no more and hope we don't get too much fall-out, if any. in the next chapter.
-
Thank you taking the time to comment and I'm really happy to see that you are enjoying the story. The next chapter is the last in this story and will be posted in the next 10 to 14 days, if not sooner.

Well they've got themselves in a right pickle haven't they. They both need to remember that as any relationship grows there will always be times that the other fucks up without intending to so it's time to start understanding that and making some allowances. right that's the nice bit over. Loren WTF! Why do you have to dissect everything that occurs in the relationship, it doesn't need it. If you keep dissecting and looking for the bad stuff you will find it, just the same as if you're dissecting a frog in biology, because you're determined to find it. Stop digging and start to accept thing on face value, Jay wouldn't ask if he didn't love you and want you to meet the family. Jay WTF! It's about time you learnt that less is more, you love Loren and that is why you want him to meet the parents and family, so just fucking say that and leave it there. Trying to explain and justify everything in detail isn't one of your strong points so don't do it. And next time remember one very important fact of life, you must remember to engage the brain before putting the mouth into gear, forget it at your peril. Now it's time for both of them to do some apologising and maybe some grovelling, but I do think Jay has more to do than Loren.

Is It Too Early To Talk About Christmas?
Mancunian commented on Mancunian's blog entry in Thoughts And Ideas That I'm Happy To Share
There are more people like me than most realise, there are thousands, if not millions, of people around the world who do what they can to help, that makes me as one person just a small cog in the bigger machinery of what we do. As for my father he was more than that, he was my best friend. After suffering abuse as a child he and his brother were adopted by a wonderful couple who I'm proud to have known as my grandparents. To quote my father from when ever he spoke about his adoptive father, 'If could half the man he was I would be a better man than I am today. -
Is It Too Early To Talk About Christmas?
Mancunian commented on Mancunian's blog entry in Thoughts And Ideas That I'm Happy To Share
Thank you @Zuri for commenting and taking notice. But please do not thank me for what I do, it is something close to my heart and to the hearts of my family, it's the way we were brought up and what we believe we should do. We are luckier than many and as we were told by our father, privilege comes with responsibility. -
Is It Too Early To Talk About Christmas?
Mancunian posted a blog entry in Thoughts And Ideas That I'm Happy To Share
Well the blog title asks the question, so it too early to talk about Christmas? I hope not, but then this isn't necessarily what you think it's about. This isn't about my Christmas, well may be it is in a way, or even your Christmas, It's about what I and many other people have been doing lately and how it affects Christmas for others. Some of you may know that I volunteer with a local organisation that supports homeless people, as I'm currently not face to face with our clients I carry out many of the admin duties. The last few days have been taken up with end of month admin which is a pain, but for the last few weeks I've doing the rounds with the begging bowl approaching businesses that support us on a regular basis and others that I hope will support us. It's been a hard slog, the financial crisis that we are affected by has also affected many businesses, some of our support has been cut back and a few businesses that did support us have gone out of business, I'm hoping that some of the other businesses will come on board. You are no doubt wondering why I am posting this, well the answer is simple really, I'm rattling the begging bowl. No I'm not asking anyone to send me anything, so let's get that clear. Like I have already said I know that the current financial crisis has affected most of us and that is not good. But the same financial crisis has affected others far more seriously, the truth is many are now living below the poverty line, some have lost their jobs and others have lost their homes. It's not just adults that have been affected by this, there are many children suffering too. What I'm asking is can you help? If you can in whatever small way it is please look within your own community and/or look up local charities that help those in need in your area and contribute whatever you can. Even if it's only a few pounds/dollars it will help, if your local supermarket has a collection point for food for a local food bank any extra tins or packets of food will help them to help those that need it. All charitable organisations are struggling those in need so any donations will be gratefully accepted. Even all you can give is some of your time that's more than okay, volunteers are just as valuable. If you cannot afford to do so please don't feel bad, just do your best to get by, there is help out there if you need it. Thank you for reading this and if are in a position to help one of your local charities, on their behalf I thank you in advance.
