Yay! Ethan and Aiden and Company! Although I understand his misgivings, I don’t think there is anything for @Nightlit to be concerned about with their arrival. Ethan has already indicated his powers have never shown any effect beyond a mile distant, at best. I see them acting more as mitigators. They can help keep things under control, rather than extinguish the flames. I think these fires were too big even for Ethan’s incredible powers. Even if they get an area extinguished, there are surrounding fires which could still overtake the area again, despite all their efforts. Their arrival will, however, relieve some of the stress being placed on The Mutts with their 72-hour shifts. I don’t care that lycans have substantially stronger constitutions than humans, they are still being stressed to their max and will pay for this at some point. Whether it is before, or at the end, of their firefighting duties is yet to be determined for each of them. So far, they have been the support system for each other, but they are like a house of cards. If one falls, they could all fall. The good news is that Ethan will definitely be an asset in the land’s recovery from all this devastation. 🌱🌿🌳🌷🌸🌺🌼🌻🥀💐🍄🍃🌲

Finally! Boy! Matt is one dense kid! Seamus was almost wearing big, flashing lights!

Hey! Don’t dis my citymate! (For want of a better term?) Liberace had some wild costumes, but when he was home, he was very down-to-earth, like Eric. His family lived about a mile or so west of where I grew up.

Oh, no. Margaret has gone too far this time. She needs to be taken away before she does irreparable damage to these boys. Yes, Richard is upset with them, and rightly so, but he didn’t get physical. He needs to get her away from the boys yesterday. If Marin realizes what is happening, shouldn’t he be required to report it?

The more you describe the costumes, the more I am picturing a cross between Elton John, Freddy Mercury and Liberace!

I am just getting caught up with this series, having binge read it over the past several days. I LOVE IT! I can hardly wait for subsequent chapters now. (As an aside, I just want to say “Hi!” to @rbenn55. 👋🏼 We are in the same neck of the woods. I remember shopping at Ames umpteen years ago when I moved to this area.)

Nah. I think the AF would be more appropriate. CJ’s Squad would be a better match for the Harley wings.

I love “The Wing” for this group. It fits perfectly. I immediately saw a version of the modern AF insignia as the tat for them.

I can understand Scott trying to keep things low-key. However, if he becomes Brad’s ‘tutor,’ they will have the ex use they need to start hanging out together more.

That sly Seamus. Matt needed help and Seamus saw a way to get further involved into his life and get Matt and Aiden into his life faster! As has been already stated, how long until Matt realizes he has been maneuvered into a dreamy, loving relationship?

What a great chapter! We all knew it was Jimmy who held the answer to Sawyer’s rabid problem. What about Jada? Are there any left from the original pack? Doris and the twins are still around. Other cubs, also, probably. There are probably a few adults around, too. Jimmy may have his core group with Sawyer and company, but he has a pack waiting for him to heal from the harm Fergus caused over the past years.

Oh! Don’t get me wrong! I didn’t say they were bad friends! I just was annoyed they weren’t helping more. They know how swamped Matt is. They could help a little by watching the baby while he went shopping or did the laundry, or they could offer to do some of these things for him. I know it’s a story. We won’t see many things. They were what came to mind as examples. However, this does allow the Seamus story to prgress!

In addition to not knowing how to react to Seamus, he is trying to learn how to be a father to an infant, something he hadn’t expected to have to do for at least another 10 years. He is in the middle of finals in college, which are always very nerve-wracking in the best of circumstances. He knows money is very tight right now, and yesterday Aiden kept him awake most of the night because of the teething. I’m a little surprised Hilary and Kase haven’t jumped in to help a bit more. They claim to be his friends, but they seem to have abandoned him when he could use their help, instead of them complaining that he won’t go to a football party with them. (I was quite annoyed at them on that one!) Seamus is, obviously, already in love with Aiden, and very interested in ‘Daddy’ Matt. He was interested before Aiden came into the picture and is using him as a convenient means of getting more contact. Why else would he be making so many changes in his life? Trading in his small coupe for an SUV for Aiden’s sake, setting up an extra office as a mini-nursery, etc. I can just picture hm showing up on his visits to his various businesses with a baby in tow. The rumors would be flying! Now, he starts showing up with the baby’s Daddy! Oh, my! Delicious! The gossips are going insane! I really enjoy the banter between the two of them. It reminds me of how my husband and I bicker back and forth. In fact, my mother used to refer to us as ‘The Bickersons.’ If you don’t know who they were, look them up. It was a popular radio program in the 30s and 40s. I am immensely enjoying this story, which is not surprising, since I often enjoy Mrsgnomie’s stories. You are an excellent author. Keep them coming!

I am so happy to see you back with Sentinel Oaks! I did have to reread a couple of chapters to get up to speed again, but, now, I am looking forward to the next chapters. It looks like ‘Elder Easton’ and, probably the Doc, will not be in the pride for long, if Rush has anything to say about it! BTW, when did Milo figure out Nash is an omega? I don’t remember any comment before.

We are Mommy and Daddy to Bonnie. Even my husband uses those terms when talking to her! 😉. Even now, she is sitting on my foot, begging Daddy for food! 🐶

Seamus obviously has baby experience. Either he has very young relatives or he was the local sitter as a young teen. Whatever, he definitely enjoys Aiden’s company and he is using it to get closer to Matt! Denise only seems to know him via the business and knows nothing of his private life, so wouldn’t be able to tell Matt if Seamus is interested in him. All she can tell him is that he’s a nice guy. I am certainly enjoying the story and looking forward to the next chapter. I’m glad they are coming quickly!

When we got our pup, we put her in the crate we got for her (I hate those things!) and she cried almost all night. We brought her onto our bed the next night with trepidation, but she was perfect. She has never had any problems on the bed, except when she got sick, and that is a different issue. Now, she sleeps curled up between my legs every night! (She is 25 months old and weighs all of 11 pounds, so she’s not a big girl.). The only reason I got the crate is in case we have to leave her at home for more than an hour or two, we put her there so she doesn’t roam the house and get into possible trouble. Now, I only use it when we work the elections and we are gone more than 12 hours because of accidents. She’s a good girl!

OK. I am officially adding my voice to those who had suspicions. There was something about the absolute control she had over her little pack of dogs. I like the idea @DerekEll136 had about Maddie being Doris’ sister or SIL. That never occurred to me, but it would certainly fill in a lot of blanks. Now, I want to know why it was such a secret and why Sawyer had no knowledge of his heritage. How does this affect the rogue aspect of Irwin’s bite? Is this why he hasn’t had the same reaction as the other victims? I had originally thought that being Jimmy’s mate had something to do with it, and maybe it does, but now I’m thinking this heritage plays a larger part.

This one was hard to read. The tears were coming hard and fast.

It could be a guilty conscious on her side. If it is her fault for having forced her shift while pregnant, she may be blaming herself. However, since they aren’t certain, she can’t accept this, so she is blaming the victim, in this case Devyn, instead. I think, maybe, Margaret needs some counseling, in addition to Devyn. Of them all, Richard seems to be handling everything the best. They definitely need family counseling.

It could also be a matter of the parents’ will and who they identified as guardian for any minor children. Presumably, his parents listed him as guardian for Aiden in the event of an accident or anything that could prevent them from caring for him. It was stated that Matt is really the only relative the baby has capable of taking and caring for him. He is also in college, close to his Senior year, which shows responsibility. I’m sure his friends would vouch for him, also. Mrsgnomie simply took literary license and skimmed over those details to get to the important part of the story! 😇
