‘Leetery?’ Is that related to a nuttery?
-
Well, you’re not going to leave us hanging over the cliff by our fingertips, are you? C’mon! Get those gray cells charging and get the story going! What a great start!

Levi has had a tremendous shock and doesn’t know how to deal with it. Most teenagers don’t have to maturity to deal with this kind of trauma. I think Brent dealt with it wisely. He reminded Levi that he is not the only person to suffer through this, or any other kind of trauma. Levi actually wanted, and needed, to hear this. He thinks his dads are there because they have to be and Brody thinks he has to. He is finally coming to the conclusion that they are there for HIM because they love him for the person he is in reality, no matter how awful he may be treating them right now.

Great start! I felt like I was back in Ireland. I could easily picture everything you described. The area around Dublin is incredibly beautiful.

I don’t know. These seem to get crazier every time.

I loved your story. The ending was very satisfying, especially John. Hopefully, we’ll be visiting the group again some time in the future—maybe with Rhett’s brother? I got a kick of the baby’s birthday. It’s the day after my Mom’s. One correction, however. You had Beth covering classes for Aaron in an elementary school in July. Unless they are in a special school program, school is out for summer vacation at that time. She wouldn’t have to cover for him at all, and would, in fact, been able to spend the entire day at the hospital if she wished! 😉

I had to laugh at your word ‘linner!!’ I used to work at a very small bookstore when I was in graduate school (we only had 4 people including the owner). Being so small, we really had to stagger meal breaks. My co-worker came up with a term for the late lunch/early supper break. She called it Lupper! It caught on and all of us referred to it, and I still do to this day, 35 years later!

There are so many characters! Could you put a character list together?

I love these! They always make me laugh. 🤭

It can take quite a while to recover from such a traumatic event. We have a nephew who lost his left leg from just below the knee in a car accident about 3 years ago. He is still dealing with pain and trying to get prosthetics that actually fit. It can take a long time for the stump to shrink to its final shape and the cup on the leg has to constantly be remade. Brad would better access to services than my nephew, but it still is an extremely difficult thing to do, especially with both legs. Luckily, Brad has a great support system. So does my nephew.

Yay! That means we have so much more to look forward to!

Thank you for pushing the Libraries. Depending on your community, you may only need a single card to utilize the entire county, or even the entire state, as it is in Rhode Island. I think I have you beat, though. I have a card for the Library in Blarney, Ireland! We needed to use their Internet connection when we were traveling there, and the only way we could was if one of us was a member. I am a Librarian, so of course, I joined!

Don’t give up yet. We know where the story is heading with the ‘confrontation’ with Ethan. Things will change after that.

This has been a wonderful story with a wonderful wrap-up. I look forward to visiting them in the future. Hopefully, you’ll have another story with Petr and Riku in the near future.

I agree with Dez. I am beginning to suspect the cookies. Could it be a jealous mother who thinks her son who should be Alpha, not Beta?

I’ve been rereading your other stories and this series was next on my list. I cheered when I saw it on the upload list this morning. Thank you! I’ve missed the chaos of this group. I’m so glad it’s back. 🥰

OK. You finished one of your other stories after a long hiatus. May we please have this one, too. We’re waiting like good boys and girls. 🙏🏻👏🏼😇

Yay! And the funny thing I just reread all the stories over the past wee and wondered and hoped you would finish them. Thank you! This is a good ending to a good story.

I’m not sure about your response, but it’s not a ‘Daddy’ situation. We were both adults when we met. I had been teaching for 12 years when we married. We married to be there for each other, because we wanted to be with the other one forever. Now I am the caregiver, after he had a stroke just over a year ago, I am glad to take care of him. He is a very loving, generous person and I am happy to be there for him. (He’s doing quite well, BTW. He’s just a little wobbly when walking occasionally and has some short-term memory problems. Otherwise, you’d never know it happened.)

So what if there is 15-16 years between them? My husband is 19 years older than me, almost to the day (our birthdays are exactly one week apart). We often joke about him entering his Sophomore year of college just as I was born! He calls me his Child Bride. We will be celebrating 20 years this June. 👰🏻

Joh, I am rereading several of my favorite stories and I just came across the scene where Patrick meets his new Grandparents for the first time. I just wanted to tell you how much I love Grandpa’s comment, “You should have been here all along. You were just misplaced.” I still have tears in my eyes. That is such a perfect description for every adopted child. I hope you will be continuing these stories. They are too good to leave alone.

Brad could become a star. There was an actor in the 40s named Herbert Marshall who lost one leg in WWI and almost no one knew it until after he died.
-
I’m so happy to have you telling Brad’s story. Our family has served in every branch, including the National Guard (my husband in the Army NG for 30 years and my Dad in the AF NG for 33). We have a current member on a submarine. You can bet we support our Vets. Unfortunately, here in RI, the state Veteran’s Home is currently under investigation for misuse of funds after only 3 years. The worst thing about it is that the former director (he resigned after it blew up) is a retired military officer!

Jonathan Cade Manning-Breeze
Clancy59 commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in Jonathan Cade Manning-Breeze
Cade is a sweetie. I know you have him calling Jason ‘Papa,’ but I think a cute nickname would come from the ‘Other Dad’ name he was using: OD or Odie. (My family is famous for coming up with names this way!)
