"The boys are home and everything is calm." Is it just me or did that REALLY sound like a threat??? Another fantastic chapter, Dudette - this one has me both completely hooked and completely snowed!! I have no idea what might be coming!

I didn't want to leave this in a review, because it doesn't say much about the story and is pretty personal. Thank you, from myself and on behalf of my brother and my cousin, who both came home from Afghanistan and Iraq, respectively, as broken as I've ever seen anyone who survived. They both have service dogs, and they have truly made a huge difference in their lives and the lives of their families. I think the is the first time I've ever seen PTSD service dogs mentioned in fiction here, and the story was awesome!! Thank you so much!

I have to say, I had my doubts when I started this series, but now I am absolutely hooked and I cannot wait for more!! Thank you for sharing it!!

Ok, I've waited a bit to throw my two cents in, and I have to say, Dudette, you did not disappoint!! I love it so far, and I agree with the guy who said he was gonna start the series over. Me too, also! Love ya, lady, and I'm glad to see you posting again!

This has taken a twist I didn't expect, but my favorite meatloaf is a recipe my grandmother gave me "for when you have company you want to impress" - it's a meatloaf made with ground pork, veal and turkey, bound with bread crumbs and egg and then wrapped in peppered bacon. You make like a woven blanket of the bacon, wrap the meatloaf and secure it with wooden skewers and bake for an hour and a half at 300. It's the best thing ever, but you can hear your arteries harden while you eat it.

The funniest one I've personally heard is .... Meatloaf. It means I would do anything for love, but I won't do that!

Well, I already loved Tyler Childers for his speech before the Long Violent History album was released, as well as his amazing library of music, but this is pretty special...

I absolutely loved this! It was very real, and funny, and a little sad, and it is truly a wonderful story. I do love my HEA's...

I guessed wrong on this one, and I should have known since I'm currently very heavily invested in Bending the Iron...but it is very different from what you've posted before, and I have to say, congratulations Libby!! It's a wonderful tale that was, yes, very sad - but also an amazing look at friendship, and love, and sacrifice. I was pulled in immediately, and I could relate very easily, as I've lost two grandparents to Alzheimer's or dementia.

I loved both of these (and still do, with every re-read)!! I would say, perhaps The Long Way by Domluka or perhaps Circumnavigation by CJames?

I'll jump in here and say, that the numbers don't mean as much at the circumstance. I'm 46, became sexually active at 13, and have never been in a monogamous relationship. Even if you figure once a week, that's well over a thousand. (52 x 30 = 1,560). Now, that number isn't accurate, because A. It wasn't once a week (sometimes more, sometimes months between) and B. I couldn't give you an exact count if I wanted to because, well, drugs. I was on major drugs for a long time, and there's a lot of blank spots. 1996, for example is very blurry. All that to say this - I know I'm a high mileage model, lol, but under the circumstances I've lived through, I think it could have been far worse. I will also add, that while that number might be very high for some of you, I have never had any kind of STD. Not even crabs. So, for those thinking that experience equates to risk, I say - not if you take your personal responsibility towards your health seriously.
