    Wow, I was just going through and looking at some of these suggestions, and it's kinda funny, knowing what we know now, and kinda sad that some of our favorites didn't make it. I think the most fitting end to the series I can think of would be the reading of JP's will. It started with a secret hidden in his grandfather's will, and what an appropriate finish. Of course, I wouldn't dream of thinking I was near qualifed to actually suggest something to Mark, but I think it would complete the circle, so to speak.

    I've just read this again, as part of my quest to re-read all of the anthologies while I wait to see what the topic will be for this year. I have to say, I was right the first time. This is the best, absolute best, story I have read in a long time. And I read a lot. Like several hours a day, a lot. I am completely amazed at the depth of your characters, at the gritty, and sometimes ugly, reality in which they find themselves, and with their ability to deal with life as it is, not how it could, would or should be. I am in awe of your talent, honored by your friendship, and grateful that you share your worlds with us. Happy 2023, Dudette! JK

    Once again, @kbois has left me breathless - volume 2 is a fast paced, witty, funny and very emotional journey. Binge reading over a weekend is a definite must, but make sure you have your Kleenex!

    We had gators everywhere, and the prevalent snake was, of all things, Burmese pythons. But the most annoying creature in Palm Harbor, FL???? The peacocks. They are super noisy, very large and hyper aggressive. To the point that is you're car is shiny, they will attack their own reflection in your paint, thinking it's a rival bird. The fine for killing one? $2500. Ask me how I know that number....

    Be safe. Watch for wildlife. Murder logs and danger noodles abound after a big storm. I used to live in palm harbor, and we had the damned things everywhere. And you aren't supposed to shoot them!!
