Rob is really settling in now and to tear him away at this point would be devastating, especially with him already having thoughts of running away or suicide. I agree with another readers comment that the evil granddad is getting help from somewhere having knowledge of stuff that should have been sealed. The law may well be on Adams' side but looks like the opposition is going to fight dirty so I'm kind of worried right now. Guess I was getting too comfy with all the feelgood stuff going on, now the real drama is about to start.

Wow that was quite a chapter. I had a friend like Tibot who stole from me to feed his drug habit so I kind of don't trust Tibot. Worse than the stealing would have been the rape accusations, that's pretty f***ed up. I guess if he's genuine about his rehab ( this time ) then making amends is all part of it. Also really hoping something gets done about Roberts assault case. I just have this horrible thought that because he's gay someone decided he probably got what he deserved, so it was all swept under the rug. Hope Adams' lawyers nail someone. Oh, also I thought Robs other grandparents disowned him for being gay so not sure why they're getting involved now. Guess I'll read on and find out.

Have to agree with everyone else, this is a really cool story and I'm loving too. I'm really enjoying the father/son interactions. Learning to be a Dad, Adam is doing a remarkable job. Robert obviously feels a bit overwhelmed at times but is coping well and already beginning to accept his new life. He even had a bit of concern about something going wrong and being taken from Adam. I can also understand his guilt at feeling he's betraying his Mom, though I'd like to think that if anything ever happened she would want for him to be with his father, though thinking back on what she did to Adam, who knows. Anyway enough gabbing I need to read more, great stuff.

As far as first chapters go, nailed it. Definitely got me hooked. My fav part would be the first father/son meeting, very touching. Close second would be when they were going out and both turned up dressed similar. I'm new to your work but definitely enjoying what I'm seeing so far. Good stuff !!!

This story was well written and I enjoyed it.Hard to fathom how parents can suddenly stop loving someone because they turn out differently to what they expect but sadly it happens.Jill gets my vote too for parent of the year.Caring, honest, open and with a level head on her shoulders, good wholesome mom. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series, this chapter kind of ended all of a sudden and immediately left me wanting more, glad I don't have to wait. Thanks for posting.

We're learning a lot more and getting a better understanding of things. Actually quite a few questions I had in mind were answered in this chapter so I guess it pays to be patient and just read the story. Standout for me was the Dad and how supportive he was. There were moments of that conversation which were quite funny. Now I just wonder how he will deal when they finally tell him what's really going on. Thanks again for another great chapter.

Wow. I was already on Marcus side but having just read that I'm so much more there now. For me the absolute best thing is that you've thrown this chapter in at this point which is a real stroke of genius. Had anyone read this first up they would have immediately sympathised with Marcus and sailed through the f trilogy. However, reading the trilody first gave us the chance to make our own judgement. I think most fell in love with J & M despite or perhaps because they were so far left field they were in a different paddock. Least now we know some of the why and I have a good excuse for feeling the way I do about loving this story. So I'm not a warped fucker, just an astute judge of character . Thanks again for yet another piece of inspired writing.

I started cringing thinking about what they were going to do with the sausages. You took it to a whole new level though and I was in tears, so damn funny and totally believable, I could actually picture the entire episode. Great insight into young Jacob and the beginnings of what he would eventually develop into. I think the defining moment was during the kissing and Oliver pulled on his hair and suddenly the light bulb came on. Interestingly enough, I must be getting desensitized by J & Ms' antics and kind of accepted that this is how Jacob is so deal with it. For that reason I didn't actually have any thoughts about Oliver or how he might have felt about it. I'm so team Jacob and Marcus that I can't be onjective and will probably excuse them for anything. Lucky it's only a story, but a damn good one, now for Marcus.

I had a moments panic wondering if I'd missed a chapter somewhere, but it all fell into place as I read on. A decade apart and a chance encounter to bring them back together...hopefully. I think the biggest surprise for me was that Marcus got himself hitched and has a young daughter, wonders never cease. So glad that despite the long separation, they instantly clicked as if never having been apart. Whatever cosmic forces are at work will doubtless be striving to keep these two together because don't think anyone else could handle them. They are perfect for each other and have quickly gained my adoration. Thanks Mr. Wilde and well done.

An interesting spin. I'd be interested to know what eventually triggered Damiens' hidden powers, is it age-related which is why everything is starting to happen now? I'm actually really glad that you didn't drag it out and we got to learn some valuable info early on. Lots more to learn of course but really excited about where this is going.

Guess Veronica just showed her true colors, kind of. She obviously set Damien up but seemed concerned about him getting hurt. This is getting real interesting.

A good start, more than enough to pique my interest. Already a fan of your writing so looking forward to seeing what you do with this story.

This is the perfect counterbalance to a story I just finished. That had a lot of relationship angst but more of the smoozie kind. This is raw and powerful and gets me excited. Oddly enough I'm not into BD or anything pain related so why I'm so invested in this I can't really explain. I'm beginning to see cracks in Marcus' slummy veneer, hopefully it won't detract too much from the foul-minded persona we've become endeared to. I get the feeling only Jacob would ever be able to bring out or even be allowed to see any softness, which is good because he's definitely earned it by putting up with Marcus idiosynchs. Such a fun couple.

I'm loving this. I'm nowhere near as intense as Marcus but I can certainly relate to building walls to hide any kind of vulnerability and keeping people at a distance. They say there's supposed to be someone for everyone and I'm pleased that Jacob fits so well into Marcus' world. What they have is perfect for them, it works and meets both their needs and that's all that matters. Really hope we get to see them being happy or crappy together. Big thumbs up for this story .

Poles apart. Someone has to change drastically, or do they? Colin and Charles both have a right to feel the way they feel and be true to themselves. Neither should have to change, so long as they can accept the differences then it shouldn't be a problem. Easier to figure from the outside but like most problems a lot harder to see when you're knee deep in it.

It was never going to be a smooth ride but it's where the journey ended. I'm actually starting to think Charlie of all people is too good for Colin. Since hooking up Colin seems to be coming across as kind of selfish with all of his crazy insecurities. He's developing this unlikeable trait of ruining sweet and tender moments by just being plain dumb. Good thing Charles loves him so much else his prima donna performances might be off-putting. Just be content with the moment instead of always looking for some way to ruin it.

“I think if Colin would’ve fought for me, even a little, I would’ve stayed, but he made it too easy to go.” Poor Jesse, it was never you. Hope he finds some genuine love out there. Meantime Charlie finally gets what he wants. I'm really glad he made Colin work for it just to be sure. I didn't like Charlie at the start and that initial impression blinded me to just how much he has changed in all this time. The new Charlie is much better.

Had to happen I guess, team Charlie wins this one, really good story.

Awww why are people so mean to Jesse, not his fault Charlie lost his player card and fukd around too long to make a play for Colin sooner and is now kicking himself for maybe missing out. I have to admit though that in this chapter Charles really came through and Jesse kind of fumbled the ball. Honestly I don't care anymore which way it goes, either would be perfect. Colins such a lucky bastard having such choices so all power to them.

Now that's what I love about you, you're not afraid to put yourself out there and do your thing, fukkin brilliant shite if I may say so myself. Not sure if it was meant to be funny but parts definitely had me in hysterics. I do actually get them and I'm looking forward to seeing more of this pair of colorful whackjobs. Neat little story so far.

Finally found the time to get back to this and so glad I did. I too actually appreciated Devon's free-spirited attitude and he's right in saying that we sometimes over-complicate things. It's a bit of a shame he didn't feature more in the main story, but at least I got to know him here and I'm pleased to say I really liked him. Thanks again for this wonderful short.

I enjoyed the restaurant scene. I'm team Jesse all the way. That way Colin gets the best of both worlds, a great lover in Jesse and a great friend in Charles. Besides it took a lot for Jesse and Colin to find each other, hell they had to be set up by the mom. Someone like Charlie could easily move on and find another.

I'm really happy about how everything just fits perfectly between Colin and Jesse. I'd be more than happy for Colin and Charles to just be great friends, they fit well in that respect. Of course a lot will depend on how Charles will handle the truth when it finally comes out.

This is lots of fun. Colin was never interested in Charlie 'that way'. Charles wham bam thanku man suddenly became interested in Colin though figured he never stood a chance. Colin and Jesse definitely look good together, I'm thinking Jesse is just as raw and inexperienced as Colin, they'd be perfect for each other, they are so alike. Colin and Charles as a pair? Both are poles apart and wouldn't make as perfect a match imo. Let the games begin and see where the story goes.
