Chapter 2 - The Ultimate Car Buying Experience
Goodie commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Chapter 2 - The Ultimate Car Buying Experience
The car karaoke was a crack up. In fact I'm finding most of their verbal sparring hilarious. This was such a neat chapter with so many special moments, but if I had to highlight one, it would be meeting the bigwigs in the lobby and their poor acting skills in "not knowing" Colin, all of which Charles was completely oblivious to.....they are clearly drunk or on drugs. -
I'm actually loving it also. I'm already hooked after the first chapter. I especially enjoy the alternating POVs and seeing the different spins. Colin/Stan is proving to be something of a challenge for Charles, something he's probably never had to contend with before. I'm quite enjoying his discomfort, not in a mean way, I just find it amusing.

Episode 12: Malevolence Part 2
Goodie commented on Cynus's story chapter in Episode 12: Malevolence Part 2
I like Peter and can identify with his struggle to find his true self. I have a very close friend going through something similar. I'm so glad Peter had his wish fulfilled. -

Epic. It was a satisfying end to a remarkable tale. I thoroughly enjoyed your story and style of writing. Thanks for sharing this. -
Episode 12: Malevolence Part 2

WOW just WOW. This was even better than the first book. Although I haven't bothered to comment previously, I couldn't leave without saying just how much this story has touched me. I will miss Hayden and Luke, and Jacob also. I'm glad Jacob got to exact a fitting revenge on Sparrow.I don't envy Nevala or Tris at all, I don't think I could cope with being a phoenix and having to endure the kind of losses they would have to experience throughout their life cycles. Thank you for this brilliant work and I look forward to reading the final installment. -
Epilogue: Life's What You Make It
Goodie commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Epilogue: Life's What You Make It
Awww I was really toying with the idea of not reading the epilogue as if that could just make it not over, but here we are and there it is. Through your superb writing you have brought us joy, anger, sadness, excitement, love and loss, pretty much the entire gamit of emotions. It was a fantastic journey and we are grateful and indeed privileged to have been invited along. Nick and Dave, and all the rest of the gang have been standout characters who've made a very welcome home in our hearts. Have loved this story immensely and though I am saddened to leave it, it gives me the opportunity to explore more of your other works. Fabulous story and job very well done. -
Chapter Twenty-One: Loud Like Love
Goodie commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Chapter Twenty-One: Loud Like Love
It was well worth the wait watching Nick and Dave finally get it right. In fact everything in their lives is falling nicely into place with great friends and supporting family. Maybe one final thing to make it perfect would be Nick returning to studies and not having to work at a supermarket ( no offense to SM workers ), just love to see him better himself. It was a pleasant surprise to see Patrick and Ali at the pub and I love how Patrick put Nick at ease and explained why he and Dave broke up. I especially loved how Dave put it, after all the waiting, thinking and figuring things out, they had earned each other. I've really loved all these guys and am going to miss them, some stories are harder than others to leave behind, yours Mr. Wilde is definitely one of them. Thanks as always for another lovely chapter. -
I remember well my first encounter with Patrick when he confronted Dave about being gay, at the time I thought he was a dick and probably become the token bully. However, you spun your magic and ended up making him a very lovable character with his all-round niceness. I was very happy to finally read his story. It was really sad at the start, he had hidden his emotions really well and seeing him really hurting over losing Dave gave me a brief moment of deep regret for his sake. I'm glad he had Ali to help him come to terms with his breakup. TBH I'm not sure if it will go the distance, both having such repressive families and Ali practically being forced to stay in the closet by his father. However, I hope for the both and can at least appreciate their mutual happiness. Patrick finding his happiness was always kind of important to me so I can't thank you enough for this lovely short.

Chapter Twenty: Ask For Answers
Goodie commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Chapter Twenty: Ask For Answers
They're both so afraid of hurting each other again and as mel said, there's no guarantees. What they should realise by now is that whatever happens, they will never be alone and all always have someone in their corner be it family or friend. -
Chapter Nineteen: Protect Me From What I Want
Goodie commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Chapter Nineteen: Protect Me From What I Want
A very sweet chapter. Very nearly there now. Maybe they just have to stop thinking of this as a mistake and accept that they need each other. I hope that some of their friends will stop questioning it and raising doubt. As much as they care, it's time to be as forgiving as Dave is. -
OMG I loved it. Alans' sister Susanne was so precious and their relationship is a real treasure. I never really gave Alan enough appreciation. Of all the inner circle he never really stood out that much to me. I feel differently now having read this. Perfect

Chapter Eighteen: This Picture
Goodie commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Chapter Eighteen: This Picture
All good things take time and the final reward can be so much more satifying after all the hard work has been put in. Nick finally forgiving his mum after all this time is a fine example, it was a very touching moment. Besides, the sooner we get there the sooner this story ends and that will be sad. -
Chapter Seventeen: Battle for the Sun
Goodie commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Chapter Seventeen: Battle for the Sun
Hopefully we know where this is going to end, but the fun is in seeing them struggle to get there. I'm so happy for Patrick. I've been dying to read his story so I might take a little detour there. Maybe the only downside is the pressure from family not allowing him and Ali to be open about their relationship. The upside is they share a room so got to be thankful for that. Thanks for giving Patrick his happiness. -
ohhh I'm all goosebumply. As far as good ideas go, eh thinking can be overrated sometimes. Just thinking back to the original argument, Dave obviously had trust issues already, accusing Nick of cheating, which Nick went off and did anyway. So noone is completely faultless and both have things to work on. At least now it's looking like they'll be working on it together. After this night, could they really not get back together? This was such a beautiful chapter I almost cried with relief. Nick and Dave have gone full circle twice now, some things are just meant to be. Very happy reader here, but fully aware that could change somewhere within the next few chapters lol.

Chapter Fifteen: A Million Little Pieces
Goodie commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Chapter Fifteen: A Million Little Pieces
Dave, Dave , Dave, somewhere in your heart and mind Devons words must have struck a chord. Like you've said before, he is stubborn. I can understand some things are hard to forgive but this is one of those cases where being apart seems to hurt more than the actual wrong. If he doesn't want Nick with anyone else then only one thing left to do. -
Chapter Fourteen: Spite and Malice
Goodie commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Chapter Fourteen: Spite and Malice
George calling his wife and son weak....he ought to look in a mirror. With him out of the picture I really think Dave and his mum will do ok and it kind of clears the way for Nick. The boys are at least talking and planning outings. Just a matter of time I think. Nick is making some real progress getting himself sorted. Dave I think is big enough to eventually forgive Nick, at least that's what we're all hoping. -
“Why are you laughing?” “That’s your kin!” Sorry Yago but you're the only one upset by this development and it's not like he would have any qualms about slaughtering kin. I'm curious if he has some secret enabling him to control the demons. It seems a bit dangerous trying to turn Talia and giving her that kind of power. Really hoping she uses her gift to rip his head off. Ysabel looks set to bring some direction to the defensive efforts at the manse, though Luca and his citizen army have done surprisingly well so far. I think the attackers are surprised by the unexpected resistance and have been forced into probing attacks to find a weak point otherwise I'm not sure why they haven't attacked in force. I too am worried they may have missed one of the secret passages, but if so, with at least twelve hours of fighting going on I would have thought Hadeaux would have made his move by now. Nail-biting stuff.

Chapter Thirteen: Without You I'm Nothing
Goodie commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Chapter Thirteen: Without You I'm Nothing
It came to mind that with her new job she would not necessarily have to rely on George anymore and possibly could leave him. Not sure if she would though, it was like she was comparing herself with Dave at the very end of their chat, just as Dave loves Nick despite what he's done, maybe she loves George the same. Still early days but things are starting to look much better for Nicks' future, he's making some positive decisions. In some ways I think it's maybe not a bad thing that Dave isn't going straight back to Nick just yet. It might be better to allow Nick to concentrate on dealing with his issues and sorting himself out proper. And I really like Stuart too and I would hope after this chapter everyone else will as well. -
Damn that was so sad. Dave got to learn quite a bit about what's been going on with Nick lately. Nick is so lucky to have such good friends to look out for him and that was an especially nice touch showing us just how much Stuart cares about him, in a really good friend way. Richard and Zoe were standouts as well and I'm glad they were concerned enough to make sure he was alright without coming down hard on him. I'm really glad Nick has agreed to see Evan again, that will do a hell of a lot more good than alcohol and drugs. Dave did the right thing in the end, he's too decent a person to lead Patrick on, I'm proud of him for manning up and handling it so well. I knew that Patrick being the nice guy he is would be ok, still hurts though and I'm really sad for him. I can only hope somewhere in the story he gets to find the happiness he deserves. Job well done on this one.

Awww this was so sad. The boys lost their mom and dad and may have ended up a lot worse themselves had it not been for the quick thinking of Dylan to try and shield them, he's a real hero. His injuries are pretty serious, hell they even had to bring him back on the operating table. We can only hope and pray he will make a full recovery. I'm so glad Ace is there for Jesse and now Danny has arrived as well. I cannot believe that Trevor would have made the sister legal guardian for Mason, and if so why not Cole as well. Definitely not on the up and up, I'm not even sure why Mason would have allowed himself to even go with her. Thanks for the new chapter, as always, job well done.

Chapter Eleven: Exit Wounds
Goodie commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Chapter Eleven: Exit Wounds
Awww this is torture, Dave isn't over Nick and feels he has to break up with Patrick because he can't love him as much as he wants to. Thing is, Patrick is such a nice guy he would be dissappointed but understanding and accept that. I think the fact Dave is even thinking it makes it pretty much a done deal. He needs to act and come clean and be honest with Patrick the sooner the better, it's gonna suck big time but he deserves it. Then if he's going to go to all the trouble of breaking Patricks' heart he may as well come clean and be honest with himself and Nick about his feelings. Life can be so unfair sometimes, poor Dave and poor Patrick. -
That was a seriously tough read. I didn't really like Craig in Nemesis and now I like him even less. I see where and how things went wrong but i can't accept that as any kind of excuse for his actions. Was there any remorse, seemed like he was more relieved Tania never said anything and now never will. Got away clean then did it again. And I don't believe that any of Pauls' homophobic attitude was in any way responsible for making him a rapist. I'm glad he's in prison and I hope he someones' bitch by now.
-
Awww that was too cute I almost cried especiaaly when I read.... ‘Yeah,’ said Alan. ‘I’d be okay with you shagging just me.’ Matt smiled. It was as close to a declaration of love as Alan Bradford was ever likely to give anyone. I enjoyed this little stroll into Matts' past, seeing him grow and mature and develop into the strong sound Matt that we've come to know and love.

The arrival of General Lafeye and Dimitri Orrs' men was unexpected. If it were just Haddeaux then I wouldn't have been as worried. Luca, Eamon and all those at the Manse are in a desperate situation made worse by the fact Alex and Carl are racing to the capital to relieve General Torne. I'm hoping that maybe help might arrive from an unexpected source. I also wonder if they would allow Adrian safe passage so as not to alienate the Illyard.
