When anticipating this point in the story coming up I assumed River and Kenji relationship progressed to the point that they got closer but we now know that isn't the case. I'm now guessing Kenji showed up in Iowa unannounced .It will be interesting to find out if River did indeed tell Kenji about leaving with Alec and to what destination. If he didn't then that means Kenji would have had to investigate River's past to be able to find him. But I suppose with Kenji's wealth that would be easy enough. I'm looking forward to the scene when Kenji surprises River if that is indeed what is going to happen

While it was unfair of Don to say ALL of Robbies friends are freeloaders out to steal Robbie's money but it is valid to say there might be a few who would do that. Like @akascrubber I don't know the business either but Ricky should realize that being in this business involves WILL involve some traveling what about movies would he turn down a great role because he doesn't want to go to Hollywood? You have to travel in this business the only people who I can think of who stopped traveling and got away with it were the Beatles and well they are exceptions to almost everything

Hey @ReaderPaul you said something about a 25,000 word chapter.Well this was 8,315 words BUT Geron cut the chapter in half so it was like a 16,000 + words so you really weren't that far off

Quite a conflict The fact that Kanaan saw the logic that Ahmet would not tell anything as to what happened and decided to spare his life shows that he is only 75-80% evil as opposed to 100% percent evil.There are people all over the world you can't say that about. Ahmet has legitimate feelings toward Matt so the romantic optimist is all of us think or hope they might get back together but you can be sure Kanaan is going to keep an eye on Ahmet so perhaps Ahmet and Matt being seen together might not be safe for them. High school had showers like this. Hmm our school system has the same type of showers human traffickers have? I don't know what to think of that🤔

You sure know how to end a chapter. So this ship coming from Earth perhaps the aliens know about the history of humans on Earth and feel if they stay it will be a danger to them. One of the reasons Mikulsa is acting somewhat different is this is unprecedented there is no book or basic training drills or anything else you can think to tells you how to deal with Aliens you never met before. Apparently Mikulsa is wise enough to know his usual M.O. might not be effective here
