At Tempton Joel tried to stay invisible so it's safe to say he never got into any confrontations over there. This might be a new experience that he doesn't know how to navigate yet of when to show discretion in these kind of situations (Drinking 6 beers isn't a way to do that). While I think Joel is getting some respect he will also attract some dumb ass macho types.
