This new way of communication with the help of Thomas, the Mirror Boy, is incredibly powerful and bothe spirits would have been lifted. As for the strip tease - enjoy every moment! 😆 I hope rhe agents get a huge eyeful!

The cleverness of both author and readers leaves me wondering if im living in some kind of stream. Hopefully Henry can tutor and mould Hugo into the warrior, professor he needs to be to outwit Dottie and save Alec, the love of his seemingly immortal life.

Both poignant and hot as hell. Hugo will keep needing to remind Alec in advance that they know each other. Very convoluted, but it might win back Hugo's anchor and north star 🌟 and defeat daft, dangerous Dottie.

I'm so glad that Hugo is with Madam Woo and the Bride. These two ladies together will prepare him to rescue Alec and defeat Dottie. And she will become known as Dottie the Defeated, Dottie the Daft and other nice names.

Hugo having arrived at Madam Woo's house is in the safest place for him right now. I'm hopeful that he will learn something in this visit that will galvanize him for the clash that has already started. As @drpaladin suggests, if Hugo can learn about the art of war, he might be able to turn Dottie's confidence into her greatest weakness.

A fun chapter highlighting so many hidden feelings. Lyn is busy hiding his feelings but also: 1. Claiming to fix the neighbour's roof, and 2. The fact that he can't swim. Meanwhile, Alexander is also hiding his feeling's for Lyn behind a facade of disdain. And all the while, Brad is secretly setting his two friends at loggerheads, enjoying the outcome of the rivalry between them. On the surface it all looks normal, but it is unsustainable and we see it playing out finally, after many years apart, at the wedding. How it will end remains a mystery, as does so much that the inimitable @Laura S. Fox sets up.

This is going to be difficult for Hugo. He needs Alec to function at his best. As @drpaladin has said, perhaps this is going to be a time for Hugo to strengthen and up his game. I'm concerned about Alec.
