    Chapter 3

What a way to test out ice cream flavours. I’m definitely going to try that one at home! Need to have some now to cool down!

    Chapter 2

I’m definitely going to try the soup and I didn't even see the video! Lovely development of the relationship.

    The Question Song

She's not expert enough for that. Plus she has her duties at the Weyr to get on with. It's mentioned in Dragonflight that the tapestry probably took Turns to make and was the work of masters.

    The Question Song

In Dragonflight the Masterharper meets Lessa, who tells him he must write the Question Song (although she leaves the wording to him), so he knows she has come from the future. N'rax, as Weyrleader of Benden, attends all of the meetings with Lessa and the other Weyrleaders, so he too knows all the details. Apart from these two, everyone else who is in on it goes forward. There are plenty of questions and the speculation will always be there, but after a year with no answers, most people are moving on with their lives. They've been used to losing people in Threadfall, so this is just another loss to bear, albeit on a much larger scale.

    The Question Song

They always seem so obvious once someone has solved them.
  6. Just over a Turn had gone by since the Disappearance. Many trips had been made to the empty Weyrs to recover anything portable the vanished weyrfolk hadn’t already taken. As N’rax had forecast, the truth had come out fairly quickly; a regular tithe train found Fort Weyr deserted and news had spread fast. He’d been called to several meetings with Craftmasters and Lord Holders, panicked at the loss of their protectors. Gradually, though, the fear had diminished. Thread no longer threatened Pern. M
  7. For a while I wondered how the turtle doves were going to come into it, then they’re they were. Lovely story with a perfect ending.

    Chapter 1

Don't worry, I have plenty of ideas for real haunting stories.
  9. A very original take on the lyrics and a nice Christmassy feel good ending for this chapter. Can't wait to see what's in store next.

    Chapter 1

    That would be fun.

    Doodle

Do you write your stories longhand first? Back in the old days I always used to. Then I’d do a first draft longhand, editing and correcting it as I typed it into a word processor. Nowadays I write directly into a word processor, but often, if I'm outlining or stuck, I’ll pick up a pen and notebook again.

    Chapter 1

Great beginning. The moral is, if your YouTube channel isn’t getting enough hits, insert sexy, shirtless hunk.
  13. During these dark, short winter days, the possibility of ghosts rises to the surface. On a bright, warm, summer day, it's easy to put our fears aside, but on a foggy December afternoon, as the light fades, they rise out of the shadows. Our ancestors used to gather around their fires as the snow swirled outside and tell ghosts stories. Nowadays, we can just post them on the Internet. Here's my latest spooky offering: Bad Vibes - Shortly after moving in to new offices, Luke and his staff start to experience strange and seemingly inexplicable phenomenon. Could the old building be haunted? And if so, can anything be done to stop it? Read with the lights on.
  14. I read this while it was being posted. Excellent story, full of drama. Think I might go and read it again now.

    Chapter 1

I'm sure they would if they knew about it. I read somewhere that many megalithic passage tombs also produce a low frequency standing wave, which adds to their 'otherworldly' feel.

    Chapter 1

I’d never really believed in ghosts, but up until recently, my scepticism had never been tested either. Weird phenomena began shortly after we moved into our new office; a self-contained unit inside a former Victorian granary building. My web design company was one of the first tenants, so much of the place was still empty. To get to our unit on the second floor, a flight of stairs led upward from reception onto a corridor around twenty metres in length. Large glass panels along one side fa

    Chapter 53

The author has to mark a story as complete manually once it's finished. After that, people can leave reviews. I'm sad this story has come to an end. It's been a long journey, with plenty of heartache along the way. Great that Nathan was able to see Annie again. I doubt Nathan's dad will ever come to terms with it. He strikes me as the kind of man who doesn't change his mind once he has formed an opinion. At least Nathan and Jason have each other, though.

    Chapter 4

    Prince Feroz seems lonely.

    Table For Two

A slightly awkward first meeting for Eric and Rob, but it was promising. Can't imagine the 'old' Eric doing anything like that. I’m not sure what the age difference is supposed to be, but a lifetime of hard work outdoors can make a person age prematurely. Some people in their sixties act as if they are eighty and vice versa.

    A Lazy Afternoon

I tried to make it realistic and believable. Craig and James are just two ordinary men, with life experience behind them. Craig, like so many people, is reluctant to make changes to his life, even though he isn't happy.
