Well, what a chapter. Zoltan is really controlling Gus's life. I wonder if Gus knows anything about his visit to Rick? All those threats never to try and contact him again makes me think he probably doesn’t. Gus will think he's been dumped, sink into depression and Zoltan will be able to say, 'I told you that guy was no good for you.' interesting that the flooded basement brought Rick into contact with an old friend who happens to be a lawyer. He may need her help. And having had a shitty day, in all senses of the word, at last he tells Heinrich senior where to get off!

It's good to see Davey getting along better with his dad in this timeline. Hopefully that can continue, although there are still major issues to be overcome.

I’m hoping this will be as intriguing and entertaining as the first 'Do Over'.

Stories involving time travel and all its implications are one of my favourites. This one is particularly well thought out and executed. An enjoyable read that isn’t at all predictable and leaves the reader thinking about alternative present and futures.

So the timeline now comes closer to its original path, except with the massive loss of life.

The world is definitely going to be a changed place from what is happening. This is starting to remind me a little of Stephen King's 11.22.63.

How I hate religious hypocrisy. I just hope Davey's mother realises that her beliefs have blinded her to doing the right thing.

I can see why Davey had to say something to the doctor. Maybe a few more people will live through his actions. He's realising now that it’s impossible to stand by and do nothing when faced with real people who are otherwise doomed to die.

Although Davey had to tell his friends, under the circumstances, a secret is much harder to keep when more people know about it. If each of them are tempted to make small changes as well (such as Brian warning his uncle) then it could easily escalate out of control.

All those little changes are going to add up. Davey is using his knowledge of what happened the first time round to try and improve his life and those of his family and friends, but surely other, unforeseen events will crop up as a result of him changing the timeline.

Yes, wasn’t there something about her going back several times to see herself growing up? Kylara often struck me as someone who shouldn't really have Impressed a dragon.

Good point, although I’m fairly sure Kylara references 'spending a couple of seconds longer between' as a method to induce a miscarriage. Not sure if normal jumps between would be dangerous or not.

If you go by canon, that also seems to have been an alternative earlier in the history of Pern (substitutes during mating flights are mentioned in Drangonseye/Red Star Rising) but by the ninth pass it seems that you have to just accept it and have sex with whoever’s dragon flies yours.

That’s the correct way of doing it, but as the five Weyrs riders don’t really fit in to the Benden hierarchy, he figures out F'nor would be more likely to get things done.

There's a reason they don’t have any furniture (except a bed) in the flight cave! D'gar would like to stay out of the politics but may find himself dragged in anyway.

So Rita's plans are finally revealed. I wonder why she posted such a vague message on her Facebook page. Most people would want to name the person they'd just become engaged to. Could it be that she hoped that people would assume it was Rick (as they have)? With someone well known locally linked to her, she's probably hoping to get more support (or at least, less opposition) to the proposed development. Still not sure why Irene is pissed off, although it could be that she's annoyed that she's found out about her boss's 'engagement' from Facebook rather than being told face to face. Or it might be something else. I have a bad feeling Heinrich senior may have invested rather heavily into Rita's project.

Excellent short story with great dialogue. Ok, it's a modern fairytale, but sometimes we all need a HEA ending. It brightened my day.

Lots happening in this chapter. Have they found anything exciting at the dig? Will Sam and Pietro eat them out of house and home? Will the boys offer be enough to buy Rivers Edge and save it from the developers? Can't wait to find out.
