I feel that was the best resolution too...Dottie Umbridge would have just continued coming...It reminds of Agent Smith from the Matrix...she is relentless and would have kept coming ..Like a virus she would have kept 'mutating'.Coming up with different methods of torturing our lads till she got what she wanted .

So much going on here do not even know where to begin. If this was tv, I would name this chapter..The unraveling!... The previous Present day chapter had cracks appearing in Lyn's walls where Alexander is concerned. In this chapter he comes completely undone..in the first part of the chapter we meet a Lyn who is at his most bare. A man who has allowed himself to let go of his inhibitions.Ceding control to someone and basking in the knowledge he will be safe and fine..That he is truly seen and desired .I like to believe this is Lyn's version of crossing the Rubicon..It was so beautiful to read that. I have personally been waiting for that to happen between those two blokes. There is another facet of Alexander that I got to see in this chapter.He is just as human as the rest of us...He expresses his insecurity even though it's disguised when he asks Lyn whom he is thinking about during their intimate moments..I like to believe at that particular moment everything hinges on the response Lyn gives. He must have been scared ,like a man awaiting the guiltone. I know we have had hints of how much Lyn means to Alexander ..but damn.Would be lying if I said that him putting Lyn's satisfaction first was not moving..That muchacho sure knows how to rock someone's world😂.. Hmm...now when it comes to the dinner .That has to be most subtle show of marking I have ever read . On one hand we have Bradley, who is trying to regain a footing he is gradually losing . The touches which are longer than they should be. The subtle coaxing of Lyn. He is trying to show that he has a hold on Lyn. ..Alexander on the other hand is his usual steady self. He is not making a spectacle .He is just his usual collected self ...When he openly says Lyn is unique and also uses 'We' in reference to the showers, I like to believe he is making a declaration of intent. That being said...I was left with one question and I swear I cursed in my mind and like Lyn was left what the hell that was with Luke!

Just know...I can't help but feel pity and awe in equal measure for Jace in this chapter ...To have the degree of endurance that he has for 3 years especially for someone who keeps throwing it his face how Jace should be grateful because he owes his freedom to him....that right there is saintly!

Oh dear...you should never ever apologize when it comes to this story...we have all had our moments of exasperation when it comes to these characters.....I have lost count of the times have wanted to enter the story and have Matteo committed..That boy is loco. so much so that even professional therapist/psychologist would fail to handle him. There is a whole group of folks here who always restrain themselves from wanting to hurl a cup at Jace ...each time he utters that 'my love'. I know you find it inexcusable but you have to remember Jace was Noah's first ..everything!..That is something that is hard to let go. That being said regardless of my frustration ,I always find solace in knowing this is a story and these characters are meant to elicit emotion from us. Not to mention @vanalas always gives the appropriate resolution to each character arc.
