    I don't see where he's taking the worse case scenario with Devin's case, just merely taking precautions because a lot more can go wrong than you or others are looking at. He's just trying to do what's best for his patient. Btw, are you really some kind of a doctor or did you just grab that honorific on your own, since you you use the lower case version.

    I believe they boys, and maybe Pa as well, feel it's best that not too many people are involved in his healing processs. If one of the doctor's is suspicious, then it would be easy to involve someone to help look after Devin without the boys realizing what was really happening. Therefore, I think they all feel safer if they just stick to taking care of one another.

    Sometimes when people are hurt or angry, they tend not to think clearly about what they're doing. They just know that they feel hurt and they're reacting to it. Hopefully, Pa willl be able to get her to realize what she's actually doing.

    No, she's just a mother who was beginning to feel as if she was being replaced. That's why Mac suggestion to Devin that he let his mom do some of the things for him was so important.

    I'm sure Mac is doing what he can, but with everything else he has to take care of in order to pick up their food, keep Devin up to date with his classes, as well as his own classwork, I'm sure he's more than frazzled by the end of each day.

    Yes, I believe you're spot on Al. It's highly unlikely that the only good skinwalkers are the Shaman, his son, Gramps, Pops, Aaron, Devin, and now Mac.

    You forget, when the Shaman first came up with the processs, no one else was willing to become involved. As far as we know, the only good shifters are the shaman, his son, Gramps, Pops, Aaron, and Devin, and now Mac. We don't have to worry about any doctors being shifters.

    The evil skinwalkers wouldn't seek medical attention, and that leaves only Devin's family, all the way back to his great-grandfather. Seeing medical science wasn't advanced enough to discover such things, they didn't have to worry, and since then Gramps and Pops have never needed medical attention and they stay away from doctors. That's because doctors routinely request blood samples to be tested for varios reasons, and who knows what else they might discover.

    For much of their life, science wasn't advanced enough to catch that. Later, they primarily stayed away from doctors and never suffered any serious injuries that required medical treatment, so this little tidbit never came up before.
