    Chapter 26 S2

Yes, Mac is around for a lot of the things that happen with Devin's family, but then again, Mac's family also includes Devin on their vacation plans and the two families celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and the Fourth of July together as well. Yes, Mac was definitely hesitant to do things with Ben, and he also draws a line when it comes to certain things, so if Devin's is smart he won't try to entice Mac by transitioning into Ben or someone who looks remarkably like him.
  2. A witan was the king's council in Anglo-Saxon government of England between the 7th and 11th centuries. It was comprised of of important noblemen, including ealdormen, thegns, and bishops, and the meetings of the witan were sometimes called the 'witenagemot'.
  3. There seems to be a slight disagreement on how to pronounce 'witenagemot'.

    Chapter 26 S2

That particular Disney attraction is only offered on a limited, and very selective basis. Yes, I'm sure he'll be sitting in a classroom or lying in bed at night and reliving his vacation for a while to come. Did I spell that correctly? How about: Cousin Oral Benefit (COB job)?

    Chapter 26 S2

Yes, this vacation had many benefits, and no matter what you call them, I believe everyone involved had a great time. Will they be able to arrange a combined family vacation in the future?

    Chapter 26 S2

Yes, I'd say that was an accurate statement. He blasted off a couple of times, and not just on the rides, and he obviusly had a blast with Devin and Mac. Are there future vacations in mind?

    Hmmm. An interesting idea.

    Chapter 26 S2

No, that's not possible, because then that would make you close to my age.

    Chapter 26 S2

I'll see if I can arrange the adoption papers.

    Chapter 26 S2

Yes, it's important to remain alert on this thread.

    Chapter 26 S2

Yes, I believe most of the readers were expecting this and Ben didn't let them down.

    Chapter 26 S2

Yes, Ben doesn't appear to be totally straight. And I knew some of you would comment on the rides you'd enjoyed if you'd gone to Disney World in the past.

    Chapter 26 S2

Of course. Isn't that every straight guy's dream?
  14. Chapter 26 – An Interesting Disney Vacation Tuesday started out the same as the day before. My mom called our room to make sure we were up, and then we all went down to have breakfast together. Katy was sitting with my parents at one table and the three of us sat together at another table. At one point during the meal, Katy asked a question. “Which park are we going to today?” “This time we’ll be going to Disney’s Hollywood Studios,” Dad replied. “Ok,” and then she ta
  15. Wroth is considered an old-fashioned way to say 'irate' or 'infuriated'.
  16. Wroth comes from the Old English word 'wrao' (angry, tomented, twisted) It may have then come from Middle English words wraththe or wreththe anger, fury, rage, animosity, hostility, deadly sin of wrath)
  17. Sure they did. They knew about Africa, since they had to sail around it to get to the East Indies. They just had a limited viewpoint where that was concerned.
  18. Quote: "It appears that I'm back in the here and now." That's debatable.
  19. John Faed (1820-1902) painted "The Wappenshaw: A Shooting Match" and it became his most important work. It was displayed at the Royal Scottish Academy in 1863 and The Royal Academy in London in 1866.
  20. A wapenshaw jacket: Also described as a motorcycle jacket.
  21. From Old English, in particular Scottish, meaning 'weapon show'. Was originally a gathering of troops in every district in Scotland to satisfy military chiefs that men were well trained and their weapons were in good shape. Word was adapted from Old Norse. Wapenshaw is short for the Scottish term 'wapenshawing'.

    Childhood Prompts

@Valkyrie As far as your comment about your Grandmother insisted on being 20 minutes early, I grew up always hearing the phrase, 'If you're not early, you're late." So, to make sure you were early, you allowed plenty of leeway time, in case of unforeseen problems. As far as prompt #238, those quirks could range from juvenile, out of fear, due to past experiences, or just plain kinky. I can't wait to read some of those prompts. lol

    Chapter 25 S2

Yes, I'm sure Ben is curious and gentle, just not a bear (extremely hairy).
  25. I see that everyone has given various meanings for the surname Wassermann, but you've missed the obvious. It came about because it was the term used to describe a water carrier. Sounds like a fun job, or should I say boring. It's similar to the surname Zimmerman, which came about because it referred to a carpenter in German.
