    Chapter 26 S1

Yes, being around Devin's family has really helped him to understand a great deal about being a skinwalker, yet he's still smart and observant enough to ask questions about the things that he doesn't understand. I'm glad you're enjoying this story.
  2. Thank you, and I'm glad you enjoyed this story, but since all of the ghosts have now been done away with, what would I write about?
  3. You'll get drawn into this unusual universe of intrigue and quickly form a strong attachment to the two main characters, Mark and Allan. In fact, when you reach the end of this short story, it's going to leave you wanting more. If you're looking for a sci-fi mystery, thriller, then you need to check out this story.

    Chapter 1

No fair! Another author leaving his anthology story in a cliff hanger. I want to know what happens to Mark and Allan and how far their relationship will go. I hope you continue this story.

    Chapter 1

It's no fair ending the story in a cliffhanger on an anthology. You're cruel. Not only were we worried about Thad, but did Evan put himself in danger trying to help Thad? An interesting world you've created, drsawzall.

    Chapter 1

Thank you for this emotional and moving story. I was riveted to it and couldn't stop reading. In fact, I felt some of Robert's guilt, since I've lost touch with my brother who's eight years younger than me. We've never had a lot in common, except for family and being brothers, but when I moved to GA it widened that gap, because we no longer saw each other at family gatherings. You just might have pushed me into ending that long disconnect, so I don't end up feeling like Robert did, now that he's regretting all the years he didn't get to know Jamie better.
  7. And thank you, Terry, for reading this story and commenting. I agree with everything you said, and it is too bad that Sarah hasn't yet received her just desserts. I'm not sure where she went to, but she's left the nursing home because she fears they might abolish her next. Thanks again for being so supportive.

Ok, maybe not huge, but it's larger than I'd want to deal with. I can understand why the guy was being so careful handling it, since it's suppose to be so venomous, but I hope that this he took out at the beginning wasn't an egg sac.
  9. Thanks for the feedback Danilo. Yes, it wasn't as scary as the other stories, except for what the aunt had done to her brother and his family, or that she attacked Hayden with the axe. The primary focus of this story was resolving the situation of the little girl ghost and helping her out. Again, thank you for the feedback.
  10. Thank you, Al, and I'm glad you enjoyed this follow up story. You're right, if the Aunt entered the light she would definitely be experiencing a much warmer environment, so she has the choice of doing that or remaining all alone where she is. I think we know what she chose to do. Again, thank you for the feedback.
  11. Botched comes from the Middle English word bocchen (meaning to mend). And that word may possibly have come from the Old English term bōtettan (which can mean "to improve", "cure", "remedy", or "repair"). And that word may have come from the Old Dutch botsen, butsen, or boetsen (meaning "to repair" or "patch"). You may not find it interesting, but I enjoy learning the origins of the words Myr selects for the Word of the Day.
  12. “The first anniversary of when you started working here is coming up in a few days,” Crystal Simek said as we were signing in. We’d been working together for the past year on the night shift, and I’m glad she’s my colleague. She’s a caring person and a wonderful friend. “Yep, it will be my first anniversary here at Valley View Nursing Home. I like to say that I started this job on Halloween, which will be in three days, but I actually started at 11:00 p.m. on October 30th. “Did y
  13. After Royce Hunter released the shadow people and securely locked Amos Dauberman in the lead coffin again, he realized the ghost of the little girl remained. He was now determined to discover her story so he could help to free her as well.
  14. Thanks, Terry. I love old architecture, so I guess I'm always guilty of describing it in my s stories. And how else would you get a young ghost to leave, except pretending to be a parents, and at least this ghost came from a period when it didn't ignore its parents when it became a teenager. Thanks for reading and commenting.

    Chapter 19 S1

Thank you, and I've always believed that you can learn things while you were being entertained. Take Andy Weir's books, The Martian, Project Hail Mary, and Artemis, I learned a lot from those as well and enjoying the story, and there are many other authors who've done the same for me. I'm glad I'm able to pass along the same style and offer something more to my readers as well.
  16. I found interesting information on this subject. First, when I looked to see who designed the first ski lift, I discovered that Robert Winterhalder designed the first one in 1908 in Sholach in the Black Forest (Schwartzwald), Germany, which is near the Swiss and French boarders. However I later learned that Jim Curran created the first three ski chairlifts for Sun Valley, Idaho in 1936/1937. The first commercial stair lift, first called an inclinator, was designed by C.C. Crispin in the 1920s.

That's interesting, and maybe it's to make up for having a face that only its mother could love.
  18. Thank you, Tony, and I'm glad you enjoy my Halloween stories. The ideas don't come as easily any longer, so it takes a while to figure out what I'm going to write about, and then it takes even longer to work it into something that I feel will be interesting for the readers. I'm glad that it's paying off.
  19. That's a question for someone smarter than myself. I can only say that he was probably aware of the changes that were being made to the house and the people that lived there, so I'm assuming that should have been enough to let him know that time was passing. However, that wouldn't work when the house was empty, especially for a long period of time.
  20. Thank you, Danilo. I know I can always count on you to give me feedback. Yes, it was sad that Angus had been there for so long, and it was strange that Nathan resembled an older version of one of the thieves. I was surprised that no one else commented about that, and I'm glad you enjoyed this story as well. My final Halloween story will be posted on Friday.
  21. and don't repeat things that you've heard on TV or in a movie.
  22. Thank you for your response, Mike, and you are correct. It was sad that Angus spent eighty years roaming around in the house he grew up in, mostly alone, except for when he was haunting the owners at the time. It worked out well, because Angus is now at rest and Hayden and Nathan can now enjoy their new home as they start their new jobs.
  23. Some people will dangle a tennis ball on a string in their garage to let them know how far they can drive their car inside without doing any damage.
  24. It's also coming to the time when many of us will dangle ornaments off of Christmas trees.
  25. Women like to wear earrings that dangle.
