He has the bear and wolf DNA, and I think if he combines this with his human DNA, i t is enough of a basis to replicate a reasonable facsimile, at least good enough to fool or confuse the threat they were facing.

Well I was t hinking Devin could have used Chewbacca or Ha rry (Harry and the Hendersons) as his inspiration for Bigfoot, as well as those old videos and the sketches the supposed eye-witnesses saw as his inspiration for Bigfoot, your choice.

Actually, there are already some does with antlers. One type has the velvet covered antlers, such as you would see on a young buck, and others might have polished antlers, such as you might see on older bucks, but they still have all of the female organs and can give birth . Devin near saw an actual bigfoot, so as he told Mac when they were freshmen, he based his bigfoot on the videos and sketches he'd seen from possible sightings. I hope t his helps clear up the situation for you.

Thanks, Terry, I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. Mac is coming along very quickly. He transitioned into Bigfoot in a time of stress, and like you said, he transtiioned into an 8x8 point Buck and managed not to do any damage in the hohrahn. Wait until Chapter 30 is posted and the shaman offers an explaination about everything that happened.

Yes, I thought I'd do the cliffhanger and leave you hanging for another week. Danilo, I'm not sure what you mean. A skinwalker can change into a deer, a buck or a doe, and then they're just as vulnerable as any other deer, unless they transition into something else in a dangerous situation. I hope that answers your question.

I was wondering if anyone would catch Mac untimely comment, and you're so right about how ironic it turned out to be. As I told the others, y'all will have to wait for the next chapter to find out what that creature was, but as you said, it's a fearsome foe if it can knock two bears aside so easily. As far as the rest of your comment, that will be addressed in the next chapter as well.

As I told Johnny and weinerdog, you'll have to wait one week to find out for sure. Remember, Mac had seen Devin transition into Bigfoot during their Freshman year, so he knew what it would look like, and since he trusts Devin completely, he didn't hesitate when facing danger. The reason you only hunt male deer, at least most of the time, is that one buck can impregnate multiple does, but you need the does to have more fawns to keep the population count up. That's one of the jobs that Gramps and Pops do. Thanks for your response and I'm glad you liked this chapter.

This is a truly thought provoking story with with interesting and well developed characters, along with a fascinating storyline. The premise of the brothers not being human, possibly even alien, seemed laughable at first, yet as we meet them and witness their actions, it appears totally believable. And the discussion about the concept of reincarnation and how it's presented could make believers out of the most ardent skeptics. Thank you for this truly enjoyable tale.

A very interesting story on many levels. I loved how you made each of the brothers different, yet totally connected. Four parts of the same whole. I also found their concept of reincarnation intriguing and wondered if the attack on Whisper was to allow us to witness that process for ourselves. However, we got a glimpse of that with the discussion of James experiences at the castle when he was a child. Thank you for a truly interesting and provocative story. I turly enjoyed it.
