This is a very old amusement park and I may have changed some details to more the chapter more interesting, like the safety harnesses. They don't, however, sell food and I'm not sure why. I wasn't able to find that information when writing this chapter. I didn't know about the popcorn at the Michael Garman Museum. That must have been left off the info I received. And I hope hearing about the food at Poor Richard's made you too hungry. I'm really happy that you enjoyed Book 1 and I hope you enjoy Book l2 as much, or maybe even more. Chapter 41 – The End of Summer When we woke up, we went downstairs to have breakfast with my parents, and while we were eating my dad spoke. “We’re taking you to Lakeside Amusement Park near Denver today, and we’ll be going to see the Michael Garman Museum: the Home of Magic Town in Colorado Springs a couple of days later. We’ll be spending the two nights in between at the Glen Eyrie Castle and Conference Center that’s also in Colorado Springs. It’s the former home of a very wealth

I'd just like to add my two-cents for any readers that haven't started this series. I found it truly intriguing and it made me laugh at times, and at other times it brought a few tears, or more, to my eyes. The story is about a unique family that is filled with love and I highly recommend to anyone's who isn't sure if they want to tackle this series.

I'm caught up - for now. lol I felt badly for Michael. I'm not so sure he would have pulled that prank, had he not been trying to impress Liam - at least that's what I believe he was doing. I'm just glad they all got things sorted out. I was also glad that Harry will be able to retrieve all of the things he had hidden and the two thieves hadn't stolen them the night before they were caught. I'm also glad Max and his crew fixed both door, and that they repainted the exterior of Harry's house, after Stacy and the boys had cleaned up the interior. I'm sure that Harry will not only be surprised, but he'll be grateful. The tour was interesting as well and I can't wait to see the various things they do for Christmas and the New Year. It sounds as if Brad will try to coax the lads down for the German Christmas Market, and it sounds like they might go down there to celebrate the Chinese New Year on February 10th, and well as celebrating Pride there in July. I hope that covers it all.

Yes, for a young man just getting out of the hospital himself, Michael was still able to kick ass.

What an exciting chapter and a lot going on. Harry's on the mend and Stacy and Michael took down the two buggers that broke into his house. I have a feeling they took the gold coins and jewelry that Harry mentioned, and maybe even the documents and keys for the mini-Cooper. And if Harry had been there alone at the time and they attacked him, he might have died from a heart attack and then they be up on murder chargers. We also see that Charlie and Brad are getting closer, if that secretive phone call is any indication, and we got to see the 'two-faces of Janice', along with meeting Missy. I wonder if she singled out Michael because he was the younger and he had a great smelling crotch? Oh, and something I meant to ask you in the last chapter, being an 'out-worlder' lol what is MOT? Is it some sort of mandatory inspection for a car in the UK? Oh, and when I checked out Brentbridge Road, it reminded me of when I spent a summer semester in London. It looks like the same type of area where my host family lived and brought back some pleasant memories for me.

Another great chapter with a lot going on. Michael is getting better and about to be released, and during his time in the hospital he managed to befriend his new 'Gramps' for him and the other boys. And then it turns out that Stacy knew Harry's son Mikey. Another important connection, and it appears that Harry is on the mend as well, most likely not only do to the efforts of the doctors, but also due to gaining a new family that cares about him. Gary and Judy got pissed off with Dr. Bowers rant and got him called on the carpet about his homophobic rant, so possibly he won't have a job. Gramps house got broken into, so now it looks as if Michael, Charlie, and Stacy will be making some repairs, and possibly Jason and Danny may help as well. Great job! Five down and two to go.

@Mancunian Except for being a first-aider, I have no medical training although I have spent a lot of time in the hospital, undergone many medical procedures and witnessed more than anyone would want to. Between those experiences and research, I somehow manage to make it sound real. If you don't mind me asking, does that mean you're klutzy or you have a medical condition?

Harry wasn't the only one that was misty-eyed at the end of that chapter. I am pleased and proud that Michael showed so much caring to Harry before that happened or he may have just given up the will to live. I know my great-grandmother gave up hope and died of a broken heart when she was told she'd have to leave her home, since the highway was planned to run through it. I'm also becoming very attached to the two imps, Jason and Danny. They are comical at time, but both have good hears as well. In fact, I'm falling in love with the whole damn gang. @Mancunian it may be that I'm just late to finding your stories, but do you have medical training, since so seem to know a lot about the various circumstances and make everything sound so accurate? I know when I write my stories I have to to a lot of research to make it sound realistic, so I'm wondering if you have to do the same thing or if you learned about this during more formal training. Anyway, I'm loving this story.

Well, that's three chapters down. Charlie is in good hands with Max and Stacy, and he may have even found a boyfriend already. Michael is getting compassionate care and making progress in the hospital, but I was a little worried when the students were there and Dr. Gary said he was going to ask two of them for their diagnosis. I was afraid one might be one of the females and it might embarrass Michael - maybe even cause him to sprout wood. I'm glad that didn't happen. I can hardly wait to see what happens next.

You had me confused at first, because I thought Charlie was the Charlie that worked for Aunt May. I guess I assumed this was a story written prior to Aunt Mae's Magic and Charlie eventually went to work for her, but then Charlie met Charlie at the cafe. Oops. I think Brad is infatuated with Charlie's good looks and Charlie was overwhelmed by his first kiss, since he mentioned he was looking for a relationship like Jason and Danny have. I also think Michael will be overwhelmed with the catching up he has to do when he gets out of the hospital. (Yes, those of us living in the US put 'the' before hospital.) Brad and Max fit their roles perfectly and prove a good juxtaposition to one another, and proof that opposites attract. I'd also like to agree with an earlier comment by someone earlier, although I don't remember by whom, but it's too bad that all homeless people couldn't be treated with the same caring and good intentions as in this story.

Ok, you've got me hooked and are reeling me in, just like a big-mouth bass. You can't helped but feel for Charlie and Michael, as well as to be impressed by how Charlie is looking after his brother. He was also willing to stand up to Max, who was much bigger than him, and I'm glad Max turned out to be a gentle giant. I've also been impressed by Max and Stacy's generosity, and I've already grown to love the imp, Jason. We haven't really been introduced to his boyfriend, Danny, yet, but I'm sure they're much alike. Now, on to Chapter 2.

You're in good hands with @raven1 and I've already started on The Baxter Boys. I wasn't sure what order I should read the stories in, but I guess it doesn't matter, since it appears they might all be self-contained, yet interactive stories.

This is a wonderful story and I truly enjoyed it. Jeffrey is correct, this is a great story for the Christmas season and I'm grateful that it was the Featured Story for December. Now that I've been introduced to The Boot Universe, I'll have to read the other stories, because I'm certain they'll be just and good and enjoyable reads.
