They may be able to get as small as a fly or the ant man, but they can't quantum leap.

Yes, the word doesn't mean what it sounds like. Morass can also mean a complicated or confused situation.

You will find out the answer to that question later on, when Mac asks that question directly, and you'll also discover how it's possible to transition into different sizes.

To some extent, the government already uses this ability to blend in as undercover agents and spies, the problem is that unless you can blend in physically as well, such as Devin's grandfathers can do by transitioning into another form, this skill has limited usefulness.

North American opossums are immune to snake bites. Laboratories have have found proteins in the opossum that are capable of neutralizing the toxins in snake venom.

Thank you, weinerdog, I'm glad you are finding this story informative, as well as entertaining. I feel that it never hurts to enlighten the readers at the same time.

Yes, I suppose he could do that and you may find that he has other ideas about how he might be able to utilize this ability.

Coming late to the discussion is not a problem. In fact, it's welcome. As to your questions, I will only say that as the title of this story, the truth is slowly revealed and you'll get answers to those questions slowly over time. I know that probably won't be a satisfactory answer, but I don't want to reveal some of these things until I'm ready. Some answers will be given directly and others you'll be able to infer from the information as it's revealed, but I believe you'll eventually understand the answer to those questions. Thanks for the feedback.

Tantalum is a metallic element that was discovered in 1802 by Anders Gustaf Ekeberg. He named the element after the mythological character Tantalos, the king of Phrygia and the father of Niobe. Tantalos was punished by the Greek gods to stand in knee deep water and suffer from eternal hunger and thirst, even though he was surrounded by fruit and water. The story of Tantalos is also the origin of the word tantalize.

My only concern is that you start feeling better soon.

That's a very good idea and I hope you are correct. 😁

The older I become, the more I rely on the supine position, so much so that's it's become my favorite.

Congratulations on your commitment and achievement, Tony. Yes, I agree both boys display a bit of naivete, but you have to realize they were both fairly sheltered from the rest of the world while growing up and they only had each other to rely on. Hopefully, the clouds over their eyes will disappear over time.

I'm sorry that you also seem the issue with the key seemed forced, but many things could have happened. Devin's grandfathers may have thought they were giving the caretaker permission to give both of the boys a key, but the caretaker may have misunderstood or had his own reservations about doing that, since he didn't know Mac. As far as the guy in the parking lot, he seems to have had a singular focus, and it's possible he done other things like that in the past and gotten away with them, so he wasn't expecting any problems. As far as revenge, the boys will stop there infrequently, so the guy would have a very long wait if he's waiting for the boys, and the employees at the diner are now aware of him and will be more likely to call law enforcement on him, since they won't want him hanging around the diner. Even though we read about a lot of people carrying guns, not everyone has one. Yes, their majors will impact their time together, but I'm sure they'll find a way to work in a way to get their rocks off. I don't believe all guys at college or university were celibate, so I'm hoping they'll find a way to make it work. They aren't quite as demanding on each other as a girlfriend might be, because they're already committed to one another.

Not all cookies are cut out by the same cookie cutter. I'm sure their are some like that, but I ran across a few that were real party animals and had quite a way with the women.

Haven't we all done a bunch of reckless antics when we were young, thinking we were invincible? I know that I did more than my share of reckless stunts in high school and college, and I'm sure this will somehow get back to his dad and grandfathers and they'll have a little chat with him. I'm sorry the part about the house key came off poorly to you, but I don't believe the caretaker felt it was his duty to decide to make a key for each of them, and I truly believe Devin thought Mac wouldn't need a key, since they'd always be together. Mac, on the other hand, doesn't want to feel like a little kid and pushed the topic, giving them their first real disagreement. Possibly I could have written that part better, but I didn't think it was that bad.

Yes, Al, I agree with you, but these boys appear to have good heads on their shoulders and understand what they're getting into. This is a dream for Devin, one that Mac wants to share, and I'm sure they will do whatever it takes to make it happen.

Yes, Daddyd, it's doable and will require a lot of hard work, but it seems the boys are up for it. I'm certain they didn't decide to do this on a whim, so we'll see how it goes.

You're very welcome, and I don't think you'll have to worry about the boys. It will be difficult for them to accomplish these ambitious goals, but they seem to be up for the challenge.

Yes, it will be good for them, Chris, and hopefully it will eventually lead to them getting a job in the same field, possibly with the same company.

Thanks for the feedback, Al. One thing that might have become obvious so far, and will become more obvious in the future, if that once these boys put their minds to something, they persevere until they accomplish their goal. They proved it in high school, with each one becoming Valedictorian of his class, and I'm sure they'll do the same thing here. Stick with me and I'm sure you'll see what I mean.

Yes, Raven, Devin not only handled the situation and helped the girl, but he seems to have fun with others with they think that he might have been involved by making fun of his current build, such as he did with the waitress. And yes, the boys are extremely committed to each other and looking forward to a future they can share, even after graduation. You will see how committed they are as the story progresses. I'm glad you're enjoying this story.

Thanks, Johnny. I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. Devin has a complex about his size, since his dad and grandfathers think it's best that he not be too tall and muscular in his usual form, so he doesn't draw much attention to himself. Seeing he can't do this in his everyday life, he takes full advantage of the opportunity to make up for it in situations like this, and he only does it for good reasons.

Thanks, Danilo. Mac sees Devin as you do, as a hero, if not a superhero, but he did a great job of saving the girl and showing the guy what it's like to be manhandled by someone bigger and stronger. What more might he have in store for us in future chapters?

Chapter 8 – Devin to the Rescue The guy who was outside the diner and harassing the girl had just told Devin to “fuck off” without even turning around to look at him. Then, without warning, the guy suddenly spun in Devin’s direction and sucker punched him in the abdomen. That’s when he realized he’d made a terrible mistake. “Damn, are you wearing fucking armor or something?” the guy yelped while holding his now throbbing wrist and hand. “No, those are the muscles I’ve devel
