Im not a fan of either Will or Travis, but the writing is brilliant, meaningful and gets all readers engaged( except it seems Sean28).. im not one to be snarky like Dear PrivateTim, ( his cutting remarks are with a surgeons precision) but im always pleased to see a new chapter arrive here in Australia, and the comments!!. Reminds me of the Muppet show with Waldorf and Statler throwing their 2 cents into the mix. Many thanks for a wonderful year of entertainment. May you have snow and open fires, im envious because its 41.6 degrees here in Sydney..

An amazing story delivered confidently and quickly! The world created feels real and the writing is impressively evocative. Our heros are flawed and endearing, yet know next to nothing about either of the others society or language. I hope that this is the beginning of a long and marvellous series.

Wonderful set up for the next instalment, now just need for CAP to finish this episode so we can have a full delight in Bridgemont. Potatoes, Tasmanian or South Australian, whipped by hand whisk til smooth. My very own mother would add finely diced raw onion (disgusting). Cream with butter and salted properly. Chopped chives as a garnish. Grateful for not having Thanksgiving in the Antipodes, however after Christmas, we can look forward to Australia day, (like the Indians same day 26 Jan) to celebrate standing on our own.

Well Mr Gray, @Wayne Gray. Superb. Glad I had found Guarded first, such imaginings and interesting characters! So looking forward to the next instalment, luckily for me, its been a few years since first written, so no waiting for chapters. simply marvellous. Thank you for these truly diverse beings.

Loving the way Lyn is portrayed, myself I would be of the mind to say nothing, not my business, but then i have life experiences with interference in others lives. Beautiful characterisation of the people with all thir foibles on display.

Ah, perhaps Walter has been set up as the fall guy, it could be Ms Parks as the mastermind, after all, shes closer to the front line to direct operations, and needed to be seen to "save" the termination for another day...one not so volatile as she now is becoming aware of the opposition that is Josh... just musing.

I am hoping that there attempt to get a deal for Big fails, as the saying goes FAFO and I've never liked any of that family other than Travis who I still occasionally want to give a kick up the backside. Miranda is up there vying for most uninteresting character. Isidore has been strange for a while, is she showing signs of early dementia?

Could it be a third agency? NSA? or just a genuine stuff up between agencies, are we certain that Eleanor is not part of the services? She manoeuvre the players to get Josh alone and her plan is sprung? Nothing to say that she didn't get into the car and calls Claire to say shes taken Josh out for the afternoon? We dont have enough information..and I'll explode if I have to wait 3 weeks! @Jeff Burton

You should try to find the show "Mystery Road" excellent Australian detective series set in the outback. And for something really off the wall "Black Comody", the 2 gay boys usually play tough cops in drama. Oh, "housewives of Narromine " total piss take...

I can certainly recommend "What the Ship Remembers" on this site, by @andy cannon even our esteemed author praises it. Very much set in the times of George Granger, but far more circumspect as all are without peerage or titles.

I was impressed that the memorial for Jack was from Jeremy's perspective giving us all a good view without being overwhelmingly maudlin. I do confess to a slight bit of extra moisture around the eyes at Johns song for his father. It allowed a perfect segue to the next issue. I seem to remember a previous thought/discussion about Jeremy's future and here we are... I can see Bella and Mode magazine coming into focus. Delicious 😋 Thank you @Mark Arbour.
