Thank you for saying so, Gary. It's a damnable thing, and the list of reasons to worry seems endless.

Wow! So you know how a lot of people hate on JJ and wish bad things for him? Not me. I’m starting the “Evil Must befall Thiel and Musk Club”. I’ll settle for bankruptcy and worldwide humiliation. And as always, I love Will, so perhaps he can engineer this spectacular fate with behind-the-scenes Brad-style machinations.

Chapter 7 The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
lucretiaseeks commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 7 The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
This is a terrific chapter, Gary. I especially enjoy revisiting Boone's conversation with the sheriff. And the description of the storm is nothing short of harrowing. -
Very nice. You can make some tea. I killed basil last year by leaving it in the windowsill too long. I have to remember to move them somewhere else soon.

Good morning! Do you still have frost?

Weekly Wrap Up (Oct. 27 - Nov. 2)
lucretiaseeks commented on wildone's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Romance is my go-to genre, but I generally like most fiction, especially mystery, adventure, with splashes of romance. I'm just as likely to re-read old favorites as I am to seek new material. My attention span hasn't been great in recent years, so I often lose track when stories are posted over some longer period of time. In a very out-of-character move for me, I watched a documentary this weekend (Screened Out) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6809010/. Parents are watching it at school next week and having conversations with the school counselors. I think I may try giving more pencil and paper work and less online. It's a conundrum, though, because students do get some benefit from the near instant feedback when they're practicing problem-solving. Halloween is huge at my international school with decorations throughout. We spent all morning on 10/31 having outdoor lawn games and a costume parade. Students and parents for the youngest go 'trick-or-treating', weaving their way throughout the school, in and out of classrooms, with the older students staffing the games and handing out candy. The government is frowning on the holiday this year, so there weren't any public celebrations or costume parties at clubs. -
Very nice work. I especially like this part - It feels genuine, and perhaps revealing in the reaction provoked in the reader. Great job.
-
Very intriguing! I would be interested to learn more about their people.

I didn’t listen to your song my first time through - I am often reading on the subway or in a coffeeshop - so that must have been why. I’m so pleased I listened this go-round. You have a terrific voice and the song is wonderful too. It adds depth to the realization of exactly how much Bailey has lost. (((Hugs)))

Sad news, Wayne. I'm sorry to hear it.

Chapter 24 Winning Streak
lucretiaseeks commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 24 Winning Streak
Thank you, CG, for a lovely review. The idea of Kendall on a white charger made me laugh, but if he had one, I'm sure he'd use it to help the lovelorn LOL. His idea of Jeremy as a back-up plan for Chet... well... he's in for a surprise. As for more gay cops... who knows? Jeremy has been telling me his story in my head as I'm trying to sleep...damn him...there's no room in there...Cheers, Buddy... I was snickering about Kendall’s matchmaking and thinking how Jeremy needs a happily-ever-after one day too. 💜 -
Chapter 22 Making Your Own Odds
lucretiaseeks commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 22 Making Your Own Odds
I really enjoy Kendall and Michael’s excellent banter! -
Thank you for taking the time to read them and say such kind and encouraging things. i have a friend I met through the Brokeback Mountain fandom who took me to my first drag show in San Francisco circa 2006 (Aunt Charlie’s), and it was the best time. The drag queen (and king) scene here in Shanghai is thriving if somewhat on the down-low. I go every chance I get and take friends. Their art definitely deserves support.

Chapter 6 Double Solitaire

Moondoggie 🤭 is still funny every time. And it’s a nice touch to inject some sideways humor to give the reader a bit of relief from Michael’s internal apprehension. -
Chapter 5 Ace in the Hole

The danger of people commenting is you have to take complaints! 😉 I will add that COTT ends in a place that I can be happy. I think we often want “more” of stories that move us, whether or not it’s the best thing for the story. You just keep doing what you do and I’m grateful. -

Third or fourth read, but who counts?! I’m just phenomenally bad about liking and commenting because I must compulsively go on to the next chapter! 🥰 -
Chapter 5 Ace in the Hole
lucretiaseeks commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 5 Ace in the Hole
The scene between Mike and his parents is drawn masterfully. Colleen is the mother everyone wants. She does an amazing job of getting Michael to shift his perspective. I especially like the parallel she draws between Michael’s attentiveness to Kendall and his dad’s caretaking of her. -
Kellar’s mother hiding him in the tall grass reminds me of Moses hidden in the grass by the Nile. .

I was remiss in not leaving them earlier! I think it’s my third reading now. I realized last night there were a few hints about Tobyn and Kellar’s colors I didn’t pick up on before. You’re a very talented storyteller. I love your westerns too. ☺️ 🤠

Weekly Wrap Up (Aug. 11 - Aug. 17)

I’m an animal person. I have two cats full time. I dog-sit a golden retriever and black lab on occasion. Two’s enough for me. When all four are in residence, there’s a lot of mayhem. 🥰- 23 comments

This is sweet and intriguing. I find myself curious about the kin and enchantments. It’s not a genre I ordinarily read, so now I wonder, ”Why not?!”

Some of my favorites on here.

Thank you for posting this @WolfM. It's amazing how invested we become in Scott so quickly. It's reassuring to know he's in 'good hands now' as folks said above. I appreciate you sharing such a bittersweet tribute on the anniversary.

I also had not seen the link. Perhaps there’s a way to feature it somewhere prominently for awhile? https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-for-comicalitys-mother-in-a-very-difficult-time?utm_campaign=pd_ss_icons&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=copy_link&attribution_id=sl%3Ab1316ffb-1caa-4ae6-81f2-fcaddde09f8a
