    Lee’s Journey

Oh, I know that. Believe me, I wouldn’t want to say where I’d be if i was never told about this site.

I’m glad this resonates with others.

    Lee’s Journey

True. Unfortunately none of those encounters were inside a relationship. Deep communications never really entered the equation.
  5. Three reviews now. Regardless of when and how quickly you put the story together, it was beautiful. Hopefully this comment entices more folks to read it.
  6. I went into this story hesitatingly, not being a fan of history at all. But it’s not a story about history. It is a beautifully written story of love that due to circumstances beyond the characters’ control, could not be realized at the time. Don’t hesitate to read this very touching story for any reason. You’ll be glad you forged ahead and read. Just have the tissues handy.

    A Frozen Exchange

Wow. When I started this, I thought to myself, oh boy, history. History had never been in my top ten of subjects. Probably not even top fifty. But aside from being built on the basis of a historical event, the story really has nothing to do with the subject of history. A beautifully written story of love that due to circumstances beyond the characters’ control, could not be realized until decades later. As the Bard said, all’s well that ends well.

Thanks. My friend. That goes for all of you who have followed me and read my stuff. So I wait. I know things will get better.

I sure hope not. I don’t need anybody looking.

    Lee’s Journey

I think it means you don’t even really know yourself. That door has been slightly ajar practically my whole life. I’ve learned to live with the draft it creates.

    I’m sure that’s true.

Not asking anything. Just something I wanted to share.

    Lee’s Journey

You’re welcome. Dusting off the leftovers while I’m struggling to continue the current ones.
  14. Hi. I'm Lee. Lee Wilson. I have a short tale about myself to tell you. It was hard figuring out what I was. Growing up in the 70's, at least my 10-19 years were pretty much there, where I lived, I never heard the word gay, or even fag. No, back then if you were different, strange, or abnormal in a certain way, you were queer, or a homo. But when nobody even spoke of those things, how is one to find out if those words describe him? On the way to learning that, you keep a lot of things inside
  15. Do you know me? I think the better question for me has always been, do I know me? Well, aside from being Lee Wilson. Well, even that’s a lie. Maybe someday you’ll all find out the truth. But not today. Is there a difference between lying about oneself and lying to yourself? Over the course of a lifetime, I know I've done the former, but the existential question is, am I also lying to myself? You decide.
  16. One man's journey to self-realization. I’ve been sort of stuck on the current active stories, not having the freedom to type as much. So I dusted off an autobiographical entry I’d written for a secret author event that I never used. All of what you’re about to read, should you decide to do so, is true.
  17. I’ll echo W_L’s view of it being like Star Trek, although, I’d see it more like a movie. A slow read at times, but definitely worth the effort for the payback at the end.

    Chapter 1

I beg to differ. You didn’t dispense with those two civilizations. You were more of an archeologist, discovering the existence of them and their demise millennia after the fact. The use of eons, by the way, was inaccurate. Billions of years has not passed. But that’s just me being a picky math geek. It didn’t impact the story at all. Good job, and like W_L indicated, it did remind one of a Star Trek episode. Although a movie would be more appropriate due to the length. Good job!
  19. For anyone that may care to check, I tested my chatGPT capabilities and added a cover photo of our two protagonists.

    Chapter 1

I haven’t finished yet, but felt I had to point out a glaring error. After Lando and Froken arrive at the docks, you refer to Landon as Roco twice. You might want to correct that @drsawzall
  21. I still intend to read the rest. My excuse is not a lot of time to spend here and like 3 or 4 of the other stories I follow all dropped chapters at nearly the same time. I started reading the second one I was tagged in last night, but it’s long and not easy reading for me. But the action started picking up. Anyway, @W_L, yours will be next for me!

    Chapter 28

I nominate Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey. Reportedly tens of thousands of dollars.

    Chapter 28

I still say they’ll find daddy buried in the basement below a non-professional cement job. Oh, wait. I already did that. In a hole in the backyard. No, did that too. Hidden in the attic, yeah that’s it. Or did I have a ghost in that armoire? Oh, never mind, daddy’s alive.
  24. Lee Wilson

    Chapter 28

Five pages? Convention for novels is 250 words per page. That’s 1250 words. Hell, if I had 3 or 4 hours straight, I’d make it. You need a better excuse. Just sleep half the night tonight.
  25. Lee Wilson

    Chapter 28

Why does this sound like a euphemism for anal sex? Oh, wait. It’s been a while for me. Everything does.
