Writing this Review, I'm still wondering, how did I miss this amazing story by @Ronyx? Angry and rebellious teenage boy Casey is sent out of his home to his father who left them years ago. But what is hidden behind Casey's problematic face and why is relationship between Casey and his mother so estranged? Chapter by chapter, we discover what's bothering our young protagonist. His new life, in his father's house, with new family, in new school brings many challenges. Casey develops one of the most beautiful bromances on GA with Lane who is, once again, one of the most beautiful @Ronyx's characters! Retarded, runt, a shame for his older brothers...Lane is, actually, good and innocent boy living in other's shadow! Amazing human being who befriends Casey in new home and becomes his 'little brother' and 'the best friend'. Lane brings out of Casey his real, noble personality and Casey brings out of Lane all of his hidden potential. New Casey influences his new family and surrounding, but his road to the moment when he could hear 'the song of birds' again is full of challenges. You'll laugh, cry...you'll be happy, sad and angry! And you'll fall in love with this story as many others did!

It's no coincidence that my 100th, celebratory, Review at GA goes to @kbois' story! ❤ @kbois deals with dementia, illness and death in this story. In her unique way, she explores how every family member cope with pain and face the awareness of inevitable loss. Above all, this story is deep, emotional farewell. Farewell devoid of any pathos but colored with lots of love, some sadness, anger and little bit of humor. Peggy left such beautiful legacy, amazing foundations in her family that her funeral becomes a celebration of her life - life that was worth of living. Thank you @kbois! Thank you for making this farewell, even for us who couldn't do it! ❤

Idea to enter the marriage as virgin is pretty conservative. In my society, I connect it to hypocrisy of straight men who want to f*ck everything that walks but want to marry a virgin to be their (house)wife and mother of their children! Nevertheless, I can respect someone's believing, even more, I respect Charlie's decision to be patient and wait for Eddie. That's what love do to us.

Finishing education, Charlie finds Eddie, the love of his life, learning that some things are worth waiting for... So...learning, learning, learning...and not just in school - learning from life and experiences too. @Mikiesboy shows the significance of learning in this beautiful short story. Whole life is learning - knowledge and experience is something nobody can take away from us!

The story is perfect just the way it is! You have focused on one very important, I would say crucial part of Jacob and Tyler's life. That makes this story so intense, something you can read in 'one breath'. Turning it into a saga would make the message of this story less prominent.

Trauma from the childhood and violence outburst triggered by the 'f' word! It all makes sense now. What amazes me the most is support from friends, especially Tyler! Incredible character!

I'm reading this story and have so strong deja vu! Has it already been published elsewhere or I was reading it before becoming a member at GA...I really cannot remember... Nevertheless, amazing characters and interesting plot. Great work @Jeff Burton!
